Just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to make this. I come back to watch this vid every couple months or so when I'm "off", and it always helps me think about centering again. (I'm a 1.0 k/d player in most fps, so not awesome lol). I'm old now, but used to play 9 ball pool at a high level. This vid reminds me of what it was like to aim at a very high level, and how awesome it feels. Thanks!
Thanks for this. I wish you would do a video on map awareness. I am always amazed at how you seem to know exactly where everyone is and you will run from cover and not get killed like I do. I get shot from all different angles and it seems even watching the mini map I am constantly surprised by a sniper or another infantry person. Any secrets would be appreciated.
I think alot of that is putting in the hours. You need to get to learn the Map, the game mode, where the spawns are, the flags, cover, awareness of your blind spots etc etc. But above all put the hours in. Honestly it's a minimum of 100 hours before you can get truly half decent at battlefield. Or any FPS. Do not get any bad habits. I spent so much of my FPS time camping in corners or waiting for the enemy. That only works in some instances. like broken says, get in and get at them
@@joshdean2376 Facts. 2042 has some inherent issues (open maps, huge player count) that make it a bit more challenging to survive than say, BF1, but you just have to grind it out. One thing Broken does REALLY well, after watching him stream for a bit, is to pick his fights where he has the advantage, and to know when he should just dip out and run - probably the biggest mistake inexperienced players make is to start shooting every time they see someone. BF ain't like that because there's so many people around, and they will jump on you, and in 2042 it's even worse - it's a bit like poker: you gotta know when to hold 'em, and when to fold 'em. The best advice any new player could get is to calm their itchy trigger finger, slow down a bit, look around, stay still and listen sometimes; you don't always have to run everywhere or be constantly active. If in doubt, GTFO.
I'm trapped in an endless spiral. My aim was always pretty decent on all fps games I played on console. However in this BF I'm only good with the sniper. As soon as I use an assault rifle it feels like I'm having a stroke while shooting. Now I've changed all my settings and I'm totally lost 😂 don't know what I've changed, what actually helped, what else I should change, if I should just reset everything and so on...
Even with the ability to change the color and thickness of the crosshair in this game, the center screen aim dot is way too small which makes it more difficult to track the center of the screen. It sure would be nice if they could offer a few more levels to increase spot size.
I agree with you, although I don't have the same problem you do, I think the crosshair and the dot is fine in my opinion, and I didn't play 2042 yet, but I did play the beta version of the game, and I played both battlefield 1 and 5
Hi, Broken. One tip that literally shot my game to the next level was to look at my target and then center my screen on it. Once you have a feel for where the center of your screen is at at all times then you start picking up the technique for placing it on top of your targets everytime. Pretty simple but effective fix since before I was told about it I constantly looked at my crosshair.
I did this by accident in BFV So many guns had amazing hip fire, and I found that I was more reliable with that aim, and am very aware of the centre of the screen Stuck on uniform aiming, and was landing shots as easy as I would with an MP40
the aim assist on console is buggy I took it off and my aiming is significantly improved. basically I'm used to playing Max sens on Cod without aim assist but on Battlefield it's different. This game needs a big update that improves the overall stability of the title. Battlefield 1 has the best graphics on old gen. Battlefield 2042 on ps5 feels like playing a ps 2 game
@@csmkorn1 I set it Directly to zero. If I put it high the sensitivity stops close to the target and prevents me from hitting it in the center of the body. in practice instead of helping it repels from the target.I basically wanted to do a headshot but aim assist blocked sensitivity in the edge of the head preventing the shots from entering the target correctly
There's a solo mode area? I got the game Friday (have like a total of 5 hours of BF experience to 11 years of COD) and after 2-3 hours in Stodeh's BOT lobby (AAF8K8) tweaking settings and sense I played 2 games. Then I spent literally 20 minutes trying to figure out how to change my class & character. Woke up Saturday and couldn't find it so I spent 30 minutes that day. Just finding stuff is insane in this game. Seems like there's no flow to the menus and stuff.
I'm playing on PS4 and the aim is all over the place still. When I ADS with assault rifles and shoot the gun goes all over the place and its frustrating because I'm not your average player when it comes to battlefield. I don't know what settings to do either it's really frustrating because PS4 settings are different to PS5
Ps5 here, I was using single fire for the first time ever since bf3 to shoot enemies, even on medium range it's very damn effective. The only pain of doing it having to ADS Everytime I'm getting for cqc which is stupid. Back in old BF games I switch firing mode on the run.
All awesome tips! My issues are that I can get VERY aggressive and I just want to get to a damn objective and start blasting people but I pretty much always get picked off while running. I’ll basically zone out while running and the next couple seconds I’m dead… Centering is definitely key and that’s something I probably zone out on way too often. When I get on a death streak it’s usually because I’m being extremely aggressive just rushing in being blood thirsty, which in turn gets me killed and infuriates me and I’ll zone out and just keep doing it… I’m also a “drifter.” I can’t snap to targets because I almost always over turn and miss those first few critical shots. When I’m on, it’s because I’m strafing either left or right and I’ve noticed gun control is FAR better while doing it. Also, pop shots are critical at medium to long range with really any gun. Far more effective! As for sensitivity, I’ve pretty much settled at 30. It allows me to turn quick enough while being steady while ADS… Great video!!
thank you so much BrokenMachine I've been struggling with my aim for weeks after watching your this video I realized that Aiming acceleration was the problem.Ty 😎🍻
Wow I was literally thinking today “Damn Broken hasn’t released many guides for this game yet.” Lol. Thank you sir!! Your guides have been helping me beast since BF1

But for close quarters i do what i mentioned above
Your aim is insane for someone who plays controller at 100 sensitivity. I just moved up to 80 and I’m much more mobile but still working on the accuracy. Thanks for the tips. 👍🏽✌🏽

For me at least... (also I use legacy southpaw stick settings, but I don't think that's for everyone). Set up a solo game and test it out!
This is great, but unfortunately, playing on PS4, the aiming, hit reg. And overall connection is off. I find my aim gets stuck off an enemy’s shoulder and no matter how hard I try to compensate, it’s sticky or I end up overshooting. I can’t make that subtle correction that I am able to do in COD or in previous battlefield titles. I’ve adjusted my controller and sensitive settings countless times to no avail. Sadly, more often than not, given the current state of the game on last gen consoles, I feel like I’m a bot. It’s incredibly frustrating.
Try adjusting rightstick deadzone and lower the aim assist. AA:100% is way too strong and trying to track moving targets or make micro adjustments is much more difficult for me with high AA%. Thanks for this video. I will try to change some of my settings, but my main problem with 2042 is that I always run out of ammo and then face an enemy with an empty gun, also, I so often get killed when spawning, and always get killed from the back while trying to focus on enemies in front of me. Dude I feel this SO SO much! Spawns in 2042 are fucking HORRIBLE especially if you spawn ON an objective which can be hard not to do…. I get shot in the back SO much in 2042 it’s absolutely infuriating! Honestly, the only thing I can really say that helps sometimes is literally just going from cover to cover and never being in the open. Hi Broken I'm having trouble when sniping my sight jumps vertically by itself when aiming down sight, it never has happened on any other game just BF 2042.I have listened and used most of your tips and settings but I'm so close to giving up on this game. Thanks Broken have a good Christmas
I know what you mean about drift shooting. It almost looks like you’re not just aiming with your right stick but you are also strafing or moving into your target very fluidly. You’re nice on the sticks. 😳👍🏽
Any tips for aiming at moving targets? Aim assist is counter productive in this type of situation, even if you have trained muscle memory, you have to compensate for the trajectory of bullets against a moving target but the crosshair gets stuck in the center of the target because of aim assist, that's annoying because you leave a lot of enemies alive, the funny thing is that this is not a problem in battlefiled 1.
I play on PC and I notice that your 8X scope is perfectly zoom in when sniping but mine seems to zoom in so much to the point where you can barely see the circular of the scope. I figured something is off about that.
I think you might be looking for ADS FOV, if I'm not mistaking when you have it off it sort of extra zoom's and if you have it on it Feels more natural in my opinion
People could improve their aim a lot just from practicing against bots. Yes, the AI is dumb and they're easy to kill, but it really helps you get comfortable with your preferred weapons and understanding where you want to aim to get the fastest kills possible. Also, if you suck at leading your shots when firing at moving targets, bots are a great way to ease yourself into getting better at it. To any newbies out there, I'd highly suggest doing a warmup round in single player against the AI before jumping into a match against human players.
Aim acceleration is only active when you push the stick/mouse full travel to achieve max movement speed. It’s not active for stick travel lower than 100%. Right?
Thanks for the great tips. I've been playing fps games for longer than I care to think about and am decent at arena type shooters but the Battlefield franchise just constantly wipes the floor with me. Everytime a new BF comes out, I tell myself that this time it's going to be different, this time I'm going to be better, this time I'm going to dominate the multitude of online players and show them who's boss...... inevitably reality rears its ugly head, kicks me in the crotch and I end up getting annihilated as soon as I spawn into the map 😆. Anyway, awesome vid as always and keep up the great work 👍
How do players get these headshots from long distance not really even trying to aim or 99% of there shots? I feel my headshots are concentrated efforts, theres like auto aim type of sharp. HOW?
Well, with it being DICE, they can't fix a damn thing and just break more. The aim assist has "improved" by a miniscule amount, but now that means you have relearn everything. Can you do an updated settings video?

I think uniform aiming means the sensitivity left to right is the same when ads and when not ads, which is not ideal
Could you please make a guide on how to control Sundance. I really struggle to control it, and I play on both controller and mouse/keyboard. Thks !
Good, basic tips. Thanks!
np !
Aim acceleration is only active when you push the stick/mouse full travel to achieve max movement speed. It’s not active for stick travel lower than 100%. Right?
Excellent guide for all FPS
HOW?
It's me or there is like some input delay with the controller on PS5?
just the game a problem... ps5 controller best latency !
i cant put my finger on it but the aiming feels awful for me on 2042. BF1 I felt like my aim was amazing and at times really snappy.
It is...
Excellent as always.
Anyone else reload in front of the enemies?? 🙋♀️🙋♂️
Me so bad and I end up dying 😂😂😂😂
Easy to apply, viable tips that defo work, top info.
Bro what is the best color to see u enemy more better on the field?
Not sure what you mean? For the crosshairs?
Well, with it being DICE, they can't fix a damn thing and just break more.
The aim assist has "improved" by a miniscule amount, but now that means you have relearn everything. Can you do an updated settings video?
Regarding tap firing, the majority of players use unfair tools to enable automatic shooting with very low recoil.
“Majority of players” ?? Not even close to majority this is just cope.
4:10 those grenades went over the wall lol idk it was funny to me
Thank you. Love the game but I’m rubbish at aiming. Use PS5 controller.
Great video as always
Thank you =D
Thermal red dot sight helps me in alot of situations.
i remember my brother wanna try bf 2042 on my ps5 and i always have 100 sensitivity, his crosshair was all over the place when enemy came out😂😂
My problem is I lay on a bed to play,12ft away from the TV.
I realized most ppl is playing w controller and not keyboard
Can I ask what the machine gun ur using is pls ?
the shooting in this game is so bad. it’s impossible to shoot someone running away from you
I swear that shit makes me so mad its absolutely true what you say...
Why does everyone use that SFAR and that sight?
What settings do you have to make the maps interesting?
An pc players play with console players?
Thank you for the video broken! Is your aim assist on console/controller still at 100 btw?
Hit reg still not working 100% though.
Staring at the sky where God bless you to kill more
Maxik, on the other hand, said in his video that prone and crouch are important to improve aim.
From my testing - difference wasn't noticeable.
Good video 👍
Thanks 👍
I constantly change my sensitivity because nothing works
Dice need to add keyboard and mouse control to consoles , PC players have a massive advantage here .
okay with all this info on trying to have better aim is just stressing me out, thought learning was meant to be fun.
Good info man
I tried dropshoting........my gun wont fire until i m on the ground.......nice dear dice
That clip where you tear it up with LMG. Are you literally playing against potatoes 😄 how did everyone looking at you either ignore you or just miss!!
Is this worth getting on discount(PS5)
Wow, Jude Law is a gamer. Who knew?
