We use a single burner propane stove infinitely more practical, considering how fast the machine goes through batteries.

Sometimes I work in remote locations, no coffee shops, no facilities around. I am definitely considering it. Thanks for the review!

I bought this for a power outage I just had the 3rd one in 2 months. Took over an 1.5 hrs to come back... sure could have used a coffee at 0530! Thanks for the review. I also bought a backup battery!

A rather different style of review than James Hoffman's.

I like mine, but wow does it guzzle batteries. It guzzles batteries faster than I can guzzle coffee.

The blinking means the battery overheated/died

Like you said not for everybody.
Just a plain kettle could be an easy solution for those who want tea, hot soup, instant coffee or any of those other drinks that just require hot water.
A second cup, or being able to obtain a second cup could also make it more attractive.
If I remember correctly Makita had a previous version that could also run off mains which is also a big plus.

Having a plug-in option would definitely be good too. 👍

I have one and the only thing it’s missing is the option to connect it to a 12 volt car battery. They should make a dummy battery with leads for the purpose. I do work in construction and the tool batteries work great because I don’t have power in the conex. But if I’m camping, I would like to just connect to the 12 volt battery in my truck. I suppose someone could take an old battery and remove the guts and make their own adapter for the purpose.

Interesting - should be easy to make an adapter for that using one of those ebay diy battery adapters. I think I might try that now.

Best way of making coffee is to get a huge thermos, make a cafetiere coffee at home with a DECENT coffee like Teifi Coffee, and enjoy through the day.

Can it make two cups of coffees? and how long to make the 2nd?
Some other videos shows the battery dies trying to make a 2nd cup.
So not handy at all if this is the case.

    • @MD-en3zm
      @MD-en3zm ปีที่แล้ว

I can make 2.5 8 oz (240ml - the max capacity per cup) on a full 5 ah 18v battery.

Using the coffee bag tray you definitely could use a tea bag.

Sounds like a lot of faff to use a coffee maker to make tea. Makita make a kettle too.

Ive been using the "Italian" pads on this coffee maker and its just more convenient, they take up less room and they're less wasteful than the K cups.

Good idea, poor execution. One cup every five minutes?! I agree with the comment about K cup being useful.

The worst koffiemachine I ever bought. If you use fresh grinned beans does not work. Fresh is to vet. I tried but failed. And I’m a wel trained koffie maker. The koffie is not hot and Imagine you work outside and it is colder I can’t put my head n around why Mikita is selling this shitty machine. they make really good toles but Koffie is an other proffesion. I’m going to send it back ! And the part for the koffiepad I dint try. Did you ever looked on the ingredients what’s inside besides coffee? The stuf what makes the artificial cream on top is made from pig vet ingredient’s. And I never liked the koffie pads anyway. I don’t call it koffie and it gives stomach-pain. No guys, for fresh grinned beans this machine is not good and the temperatuur to cold. A big -10
