    I LOVE being able to change up the configuration! And having washable covers means my couch is going to look a lot better longer. And save money on the upholstery cleaning. Being able to add pieces and change covers really makes this versatile, AND cost effective in the long run.

    thank you for taking the time to make this! We just moved to CA from South Africa and we are starting from scratch. I am unpacked and ready to start assembly. This was really helpful. I really love the concept, can't be beat.

    I have been following Lovesac for many years because I was first interested in their bean-bag-bedding. I love the idea of the Sactional and have an oddly-configured room that no SECTIONALS (to date) have worked with. THANK YOU for taking the time to put this together. I am disappointed to hear that their customer service isn't TOP NOTCH --- but will keep watching your progress to see how you are liking the system in the future.

      Thanks for commenting. I received multiple people following up making sure we got the clip, with many apologies. A year later, we still really love the sactional.

    Wow I was excited to show my husband this set and we decided not to but over the shoddy customer service! After the price and all that labor to put it together and they make you drive to the store to replace a broken piece that alone changed my mind about buying this system.

    Excellent review! I like how you covered the entire process from start to finish. I can't wait for our sactional to arrive. 4-6 week wait will be worth it! On a side note; Lovesac now has the magnetic blocks available for purchase ($27). If you choose the down cushions they will include them for free.

    Hi! I just received my Sactional today and I am super excited. This is the first time I purchased a brand new couch and let me share that I graduated from high school in 1992 lol. Anywho, yes, the sactional is very expensive. However, I was able to get mine for a little more than have the cost with there Black Friday sales that lasted beyond Black Friday. I was looking for something that was not too fancy looking. So anyway, I think it is worth the money. They covers are washable, the pieces are interchangeable, and its nice sized furniture. As far as putting it together I need the exercise and this video will help. It would have been nice to get free assembly. So I think depending on where you are at in life and what your needs and wants are you will either say "Yes!" or "Hell No!" lol I said yes because I want and deserve it! Happy Sactional!!

    Fascinating. Many people underestimate the value of modular sofas and the incredible floor designs that can be made with them. I have a Bellini sofa from Manhattan Home Design and one of the things I like the most is that I can make it as long as I want by adding more modules. Modular sofas are often very comfortable too, and they have a remarkable advantage: if a module is damaged, it can be easier to replace it than to repair it, in some cases. Thanks for sharing your experience!

    Just built my 4 base 5 side sactional by myself and it took longer than expected! A couple IPA's during set up are a must! I found putting in the clamps by myself were much harder than it looked in the videos! I still have 3 clamps left over because putting the bases together with the clamps is touch! I think I'll wait for my husband to do that part! Thanks!

    • @AuthenTech

    This might be worth it for someone like me that moves frequently. I live in small spaces and probably won't buy more than 3 seats. I also got a coupon in the mail for a free seat and side...I like how I can re configure these depending on my apartment layout. Yes they should give away the magnetic pieces. Im impressed that you made your own 😮

    They should have made it less expensive than couches with tight upholstery and wood. Basically its a bunch of foam squares with hook ons and washable removable fabric. That, my friends, should be much much more affordable. Pretty sad that such a great idea has to be so greedy.

      @EveLivesToTravel 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      LeAnn we’ve had ours for over a year now and I will never own another sofa. I still LOVE them like the day they arrived! I have moved them around numerous times to accommodate our needs, like if we have a party, friends stay the night, or as movie loungers. They fluff right up and do not show any wear at all and we use them constantly, especially now with the pandemic and we are all home all the time. One of my favorite investments ever! Even if we ever move (doubt we ever will), but they will be the easiest thing to pack up to move. LOVE THEM! P.S. We got ours during a roadshow at Costco.

    For that kind of money I think the bolts the legs screw onto should be perpendicular, and making you drive an hour to the store to get a replacement for what broke is unforgivable in my view. Thank you for what seems like a very good and honest review.

    Thanks so much for this video, I'm going to be purchasing my set on Black Friday as well. I'm getting it with the surround system and phone charger. Question when you are putting them together is it better to have two people or can you put it together with just one person. I'm building a home so when I get mine I will have to put them in storage for about six to seven months due to the house not being completed until end or May early June. I will do a video on my channel once its done.

    Thanks for the great video! I have been searching for weeks for the "perfect modular couch" when someone told be about the sactional. I am struggling between a cheap couch that will need replaced in a few years or an expensive one like this. What other brands did you look at before purchasing Lovesac? Would you say that Lovesac lives up to the warranty they boast about on their website? Also, have you washed the covers? Do they come out looking good as new?

Went and sat on these and my god are they comfortable. By far some of the most comfortable seats I’ve ever sat on. Not really excited about the little issues you stated in the video but the positives out way the negatives for me at least.

    Before I'd even think on buying this, I'd need to know how comfortable it is to sit for long periods of time; (movie binge,ext) I need like a cloud to sit on. (Due to many neck surgery's & spine props) out for comfort) Watching them cover the pillow itself, looked like it would be a feather/??? type,
    If you have owned one for about 3-6 months you'd know the comfortably of the set by now, & if you could give me a shout back on that I would truly appreciate it.
    Thanks in advance...

    Costco had a demo of these for a better price. We are considering them for a beach rental house so we could replace just one section or cover if they are ever damaged. We need seating for 12 people so we would need two of the 4x5's to have enough seats for everyone. Price would range from $4800-$5200 for all of it. Not bad considering a PB couch is $5k just for one and I would need 2. This video was made in 2014. In 6 years it seems like this company has evolved and provides a better quality and better price now. Interested to see how it is holding up after 6 years.

    Sales guy hit me up at costco for this product. Said it was $4900 but on sale today for $3200. I liked his presentation but in the end, I divided the lower cost by 2 and figured that in order to consider this as an option , I would need to see if no other couches met my expectations at $1600 a piece. I mean , we aren't even talking leather couches, just microfiber or whatever. So i passed on it and will continue to look around for something i like.

      Adam Anderson Though, plywood isn't necessarily cheap (it comes in different grades and species) and its use doesn't imply cheap construction (the same can be said about products made in China). Remember, plywood is still wood. Even though it's not as strong as solid wood, it's better suited for furniture like a couches because it doesn't warp, shrink, or crack due to changes in climate like humidity. It's sturdy, predictable, and easier to build with than solid wood. I don't think you would want to build an entire house out of it, but it's well loved by furniture makers and many designers, an definitely not an indication of quality.
      Those crappy legs, loose threads, and crappy customer sevice though, turn me off from ever buying one of these.

    Hey Ben. Just wondering if you purchased the standard filling? I want a firm mattress-like feel, and your couch looks a lot firmer than most ... which is cool. A few other questions I had would be ...
    -- Was the problem that you had with the feet due to the feet themselves, or was it with the hole that was drilled into the base unit? One of the feet you showed looked all rough and splintered as well.
    -- How heavy would you say the base unit is, without the cushion and pillow in it?
    -- And finally, did you complain about the foot issue, or the thread issues on the cushions, and if so, what did they say? That's a lot of money for quality issues.
    Thanks for your help, and for the Black Friday tip.

    • @AuthenTech
      @AuthenTech  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey man, thanks for watching.
      I believe we went with standard. When brand new, it feels very firm which was awesome. Has definitely softened down a bit over the years. The feet issue, I'm not sure which was the cause, but turned out not to be a major issue at all. The approx weight of a base is around 30 lbs. Lastly, I never complained to corporate about those issues, so thus no response. (And no, I haven't had anyone from corporate try to fix those problems for me even after they saw this video.)
      Hope it helps you out!

      +Joey Robeson - Yes, we still love it! Always talking it up with new friends. Still very durable and no issues or problems have risen. We've learned it's important/helps a lot to rotate the cushions and pillows around every couple months, and makes it feel like a brand new couch. (No major spills or anything yet, but touch-up cleaning is a cinch and we use the hand-vac to keep it looking sharp.)

      Its way overpriced for the cheap construction. The simplest task was drilling the leg fasteners square which they failed miserably. It's a nice idea .but ergonomically it looks like another failure.drop the price in halve then we might have a deal.

    Sactional owner here, 2012 purchase. Looking at maybe freshening my couch covers up and maybe new filling. Did you "try out" any of the other fills besides Standard Foam/ I'm thinking about down or 'lovesoft' but unfortunately am not near to a store to try it out...

    • @leahleong
      @leahleong 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      vect0rx I know this isn't my channel, but I figured I would give you some insight on your question. We bought a sactional about a month ago, and we thought the "lovesoft" would be the nicest and most comfortable, and almost submitted our order online. I decided to run to the store just to see for myself if this was true, and I've got to say, I almost feel like the standard is about the same as the lovesoft as far as comfort goes. The middle grade grade filling is like a down alternative filling, and it's quite stiff (in case you were considering that one as well). We ultimately decided to go with the standard because it just wasn't worth it to get lovesoft whenever standard felt virtually the same. The lovesoft does have a longer warranty, though. Hope that helps!

      Heidi you were right. I'm typing this with one organic natural hand and my other hand is now a prosthetic. Same situation with one of my legs. And I'm pretty sure this couch will be the end of me.
      I wish you had told me this before I upgraded in June. What can I do now?!
      Will you tell my cautionary tale when I'm gone? :(

    • @vect0rx498
      @vect0rx498 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Leah, thanks.. My default foam was pretty good for several years there. I got the down. It's comfortable but also I have to pick feathers out sometimes and I have to re-fluff the back pillows now so it's a mixed thing.
      Unfortunately I didn't have a local store but I will say the down is more comfortable than the failing cushions I had to replace
