Hi, I’ve had mine, with kids in the home, same fabric as you,for about 3 years and have added pieces in the past year. You can’t tell the difference in my newer or older pieces. Just FYI on the what you are calling bottom storage, that is not storage. You either buy the ones with storage or no storage. It’s just open on the bottom if you choose no storage. 😊 you can store any extra back cushions under there with the metal cross bar that comes with it if you need to, but other than that, there is nothing to hold anything there, so not storage. I looked at these things for about 3 years before I finally invested and when I started looking, they didn’t offer storage and they got the surround sound right after I purchased mine.
I slept at my friend's apartment. They brought out one that is shaped like a big hackysac. It is tampered so my head and neck are elevated higher than my feet. It was absolutely perfect to sleep on. I finally woke up with no ache anything. It was wonderful.
Thank you for your review and 411. We’re considering Lovesac because my husband picks one seat on the couch and destroys it. I figure with lack, I can rotate all the bottom and back cushions so he can wear them all out evenly instead of killing his “Sheldon spot” on the couch. 😂 So here I am checking in three years later to see if you still love your Lovesac sofa …
Thank you so much for this video and calling out everything I needed to know. I hadn't planned on getting the top storage but updated my order after you mentioned it. I got the tan combed chenille too. This video was very helpful.
Hi Julie, Two+ years later, is it still worth it? I'm currently on the market and while it's not in my budget, I don't mind investing in something that is going to last and won't sink on me within a few years. I'm between this and a more affordable, likely less durable Ikea couch or a used couch. Thanks in advance!
Ella, what couch did you buy? I’m considering Lovesac for multiple reasons. I don’t want to make a 10K mistake, so I’m looking for happy/unhappy customers 🩷
@@teresev1435 I went to a Lovesac store and tried the different versions. I remember thinking “this feels like every couch I hate: worn and saggy!” While I like the fact that you can make it into a bed, I don’t think the quality is worth it. That being said, I like firm beds, firm couches, and I want it to last long. So believe it or not I ended up getting an IKEA couch, the Uppland. It’s so not stylish, but it’s previous version has a faithful following because of how comfy and durable it was. And it is firm. Imagine sitting on a couch that’s soft but you don’t sink, like sitting on a mixture of a bunch of pillows and blankets stacked on top of each other. The Uppland is my office since I wfh. I literally work sitting on my couch every day. It’s so comfy. I really wanted a more stylish couch but I couldn’t resist how comfy the Uppland is. I’ve had it for over a year now and it’s only gotten more comfy. No regrets
It looks like your loveseat is in the deep-seating configuration, but that you're using two of the larger 35" back cushions on it, and it looks like those cushions are Lovesoft? I just bought two deep-seating loveseats, but I got standard frill and the 29" standard fill backrest cushions. I don't like the backrest cushions because there's a gap between them. I'm thinking what you did looks better, but there is really a bit too much cushion? It seems they have two sizes: too small and too big. What do you think now that you've had them for quite a while?
Whats the difference between standard seating and deep seating? I like to sit back on the couch and think the deep would be better; however, I did see there are "Deep Side" sections. I'm assuming you have to purchase those prior to being able to make the couch "deep".
Hi, I think we had a good deal. Just ordered one in Costco for $3,399. It’s a bundle. Bundle comes with 4 seats/5 sides, 2 cupholders, 1 sactional table, 2 throw pillows, 2 Footsac blankets, 1 CitySac and Squattoman.
How comfortable is the top storage seat? Do you think it’s built well enough, that had you bought all top storage, it would stand up to daily use? Would you worry that the top storage piece would give out or fall into the base? Really considering the top storage but worried that it’ll break or fall in after daily wear and tear.
@@teresev1435 We love it. Great couch for us with 2 kids and a pup. Relatively easy to rearrange into different configurations when needed, and pretty solid. Our only gripe is that taking the covers on and off can be a bit of a pain. Overall Iwould give it 8.5 out of 10.
@@pierrekid86 Fabulous! Thank you so much for responding. 😃 I’m super excited to have a comfy tv watching sofa to look forward to that checks all the boxes. We just threw away an 8-year-old sectional type sofa I loathed from day one-we couldn’t even donate it because my husband killed one seat on the sofa. He has a “Sheldon spot,” so he smooshed that one seat into oblivion 😂. I figure with the Lovesac, I can just keep rotating the bottom and back cushions so he doesn’t wear the one seat down. And there’s storage… 🤯
thanks for your post! I'm about to pull the trigger on the 5 seats + 5 sides, with 3 of the 5 seats having top storage (I'm trying to keep my cost down a little). I'm also buying an extra regular side + one extra deep seat side... my plan is to use this as either a 3 seat couch in the deep-seat configuration with x2 ottomans/chaise ends --OR-- a 2 seater "love seat" with a deep-seat chair (1 seat + 3 sides). Right now, I'm struggling to choose a fabric! My local Lovesac is closed, with no plans to re-open. I ordered swatches but they are taking forever to get here! I am a nurse and am eligible for Lovesac's 40% healthcare worker discount, as long as I purchase before the end of May.
Thank-you for this video. I purchased 3 seats and 5 sides and it arrived yesterday. It is, along with all the empty boxes, sitting in my dining room mostly assembled. I wasn't too sure I liked it. I visited a store and sat on the Sactionals there and loved them for the washable covers (a dog, 2 cats and 9 grandchildren). At the store, they seemed more comfortable. New out of the box, not so much. My husband says we own it bc he doesn't want to put it all back in the boxes haha. I needed encouragement that I hadn't made a $3000 mistake. I have scoured the web for negative reviews and found very few. Your video was encouraging and I particularly liked that you adjust the back pillows to your comfort level. I just needed to hear someone say that. I am 60 and have never had a couch with unattached pillows and last night I had a hard time with the concept of adjusting them to my comfort level. It just seemed to hippy-dippy to mess with them. In my world the couch is the couch, not an adjustable bed, haha. Now I'm ready to jump into 2021 with a couch I can feel free to relax on, haha. One additional note; I am going to order another seat today. I want total customization. My husband is 6' and needs 3 seats in order to lay down and I want an ottoman. With 4 seats and 5 sides we can also do the configuration that you have and I really like that one. I'm getting that one with top storage :) Thanks again!
So your pillows... Are they deep pillows? I have 5 seats, 8 sides. I just converted 2 of my seats to deep and enclosed with 4 sides, the standard pillows no longer fit. I had to order "deep" pillows. Yours look like standard though... How did you make them fit?
I have the couch. My biggest thing. If you have kids. It’s not water proof. Yes you can wash the cushion covers but not the cushions themselves. I wish they made them waterproof or a way to wash the actual cushion cover (underneath the washable covers). I’ve now put puppy pads underneath the washable cover. Big downfall if you have kids.
If you ever switched to deep seating with 3 cushions and an ottoman, would the pillows fit or did you feel like it was too scrunched? I know they recommend buying the deep side pillows if you plan of doing deep seating but was curious if it works with the standard?
Bottom storage?? I see what you're calling "top storage" in the base, opening from the top. But before that, as you're discussing "bottom storage," in the video you never open anything. It's also in a base, but I see no lid or any way to open it. Can you explain what you mean by "bottom storage" and how to open it? Thanks!
With their Comfort For Our Heroes (teacher here) sale going on I have been thinking about getting one. Coworker has a sac and sectional and loves it. What is your opinion of it for taller people? I am 6' 4" and finding a comfortable back is very hit or miss for me...usually a miss.
It's super comfortable and the back cushions are great! Also love that they aren't attached and I can tilt them slightly. As for the length of the Lovesac it's great because you can turn the base and have it be a deep setup.

We're giving serious consideration to purchasing a Lovesac Sactional and appreciate your informative video. Thanks for posting it. A full review of a sofa being performed away from the sofa. Not sure I understand that. 10 minute video with about 20 seconds of seeing the sofa.

How about the higher backs opposed to the shorter backs?
Thanks Julie, I'm going this weekend to check this out, I might purchase....

I have my couch like that right now and it does feel a little scrunched. I would recommend getting the deep side pillows.
@@JulieHartwellhow is the couch holding up after 2+ years now? Are you still living it?
Hi! Which fill did you get in your couch?
I got the standard fill. The other fills were to soft and not firm enough for me.
Is the color more beige or ivory or gray? Trying to decide on the color
I would say it's more of a beige.

I still have it and LOVE it. I'll be doing another video soon but if you're thinking of getting it I would 100% recommend it.
Did you purchase from a showroom or online?
I purchased in the showroom.
Do the bottom cushions shift themselves? Do you find yourself having to push them back in place often?
Migdalia Chandler the cushions we sit on don’t move but the foot rest cushion sometimes moves are we’re pushing our feet on it.
You made it SO easy to understand. Thank you. I was very confused as to what pieces to order. Placing my order today!!
Did you ever buy the lovesac?
We’re looking at them. They seem so fabulous!

No I wasn't but I love my Lovesac and would highly recommend it!
Home Reserve quality is much lower.
