All I've wanted to find since these came out is a demo of an edge-of-breakup or just-past-breakup sound. That's where I play the most. I think you're the first person Ive seen dedicate more than a couple seconds to that. Thank you so much. Awesome video and great playing!
This is one of the best demos I've seen of this amp!!
Man that’s a nice video
I like that you played a lot of different styles instead of the usual metal god riffs I see online
Imma def buy one
Love your playing man🙏🏻…. Subscribed
That's better clean sound than I expected
I've never had a tube amp that sounded this clean. Fantastic amp. Just picked one up today !!
Finally a good demo
Thanks for this demo. You really showed what it can achieve. I bought this amp when it was first released in the united states and still use it as my main amp. this amp is such a great way to get a lot of versatility for the price. Doom to blues it can be done with this amp
The harmonics on this amp are simply incredible
Great Vid! I got my SuperCrush 100 last year and paired with the Crushpro 412 it is amazing as well! Quickly became my workhorse amp and I love it!
The closest for sure but I'm excited to hear the next generation. It's very very close. There's still a middy warmth, compression and overtones that's missing.
Line out to a tube preamp into a separate cabinet.
run an EQ in the effect loop, literally brings this amp to fire breathing life.
Which one?
Mxr 10 band is what I’ve used with great results
@@mrmachinist8834what settings?
I'm thoroughly impressed with my crush35rt would like to give one of these a shot
Would love to see you review the H&K Black Spirit 200.
Hello brother have not seen u in along time ,I been looking at that Amp since it came out ..
As an orange rockerverb owner, this intrigues me to give it a go. Save on tubes and the price is right. Sounds very nice, good job.
If you play loud it doesn't work. Ss craps out at about 2 to 3 o'clock on the crush. I will say they sound very similar at lower volumes and that the crush sounds awesome 👌
@@TheAamott12I felt the same way about getting loud with mine. I swapped out the V30’s in my cab to Eminence Swamp Thang 150 watt 8ohm speakers and the sound is huge now….even with both volumes dimed!
I was strongly considering getting an Orange tube amp, but this might be better for me. Especially with the DI.
Nice brother
🍊 + 🎸 = amazing 👤 👏 it's you ♥️
I haven't heard a P90 through it yet. Maybe that would give it the middy overtones and compression it's missing.
With humbuckers, i think i would still want the tube version running along side it. Both signals would be the best if both works. SS chime and tube overtones.
Thank you for this video! I have the same amp, but I'm kind of struggling with it. I'm less of a technical player than the gentleman in this video and I find that it really amplifies like any little mistake or string noise or buzzing etc...(as opposed to the Marshall and Vox amps that I have now and in the past as well), at least at lower volumes... I'm thinking of getting an 'always on' pedal for at least the clean channel-which is kind of useless to me as it is... Thinking of a catalinbread formula 51/ or same co.'s Ampeg-style. I don't like to use a lot of pedals, and I already have always on a Blackstar tube boost pedal (which is excellent for adding a little bit of bottom end to the dirty channel)- I don't want to crap on this amp -I don't think it's bad- it just has a little bit of a high fidelity kind of sound to me that I want to get rid of..*if anyone's had any similar issues with it or has any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it..
You have pretty much described most SS amps on the market. Adding pedals etc won’t make this amp something it’s not. Buy a tube amp if that’s what you like
Maybe try some different speakers/cab or an EQ in the loop.
Hi another great informative video. Thank you for talking about the DI Out a bit. Do you know if the DI OUT is MIC level or LINE level. I would like to connect the DI OUT to a Headrush FRFR speaker which has the GND lift option. However the inputs are LINE Level inputs. Thanks.
Cheers! We think it’s a mic level output
@@rhythmNbeard I heard back from ORANGE technical support. (1) The CAB SIM DI OUT on the Supercrush 100 is LINE level and can be directly connected to a LINE Level input FRFR Speaker (2) The Supercrush 100 can be operated with NO LOAD (NO CAB) and ONLY DI OUT connected to a FRFR speaker. Cheers !
I actually use an Alto FRFR with this amp-I think the sound is excellent in fact I started doing it to add a little bit of bottom end to the dirty channel (which a lot of orange's lack)..*this is not a problem for me but do be aware that if you have the combo and plug into the FRFR, the amp does not turn off: I like the sound of the two together, but I've heard some other people complaining that they want the amp off.
U r always amazing👍🫠
It’s hilarious to me that there are people commenting on this being lacking in the mids. Tube or solid state, the “Orange Sound” is all about low mids focus, and if you can’t hear the heavy amount of low mids focus in this amp, you been standing too close to your stack for too long.
The answer is : Yes !
Gonna get one to compliment my orange rocker 32. Mmmmmmyes.
My JCM 2000 is dead but my JCM 900 is alive 😃
This amp kills, no need to say anything else.
well it does seem like there is a point when adding too much gain it begins to sound like shit.. (that is the downside of solid state amps)
No pedals needed except line out chorus and delay.
I have this amp and can say that tubes amps aren't dead, don't be silly
I see a lit of videos say stuff like that but then I hear the amp cranked and solid states just don't have the same "it", now modlers seem to have more of a Tube amp feel
Let's bypass the tone on the guitar or put in a 1000 pot and hear what this amp can do
🤷♂️ the majority of guitar players don’t do that and if you’re bypassing the tone on the guitar you’re probably already playing through an EVH amp. The demo here covers pretty much what this amp can do.
I have a Orange CR120 combo and a Hot Rod deluxe, there is NO comparison Hot Rod is much easier to setup EQ for a good sound, gain no gain HRD is just easier. Plus after setting EQ what ever guitar I use, my gibson, fender, jackson or warmoth , just plug the guitar in and it sounds good. Orange cr120 every guitar I hav to fu*k with the EQ to get it sounding good. But don't get me wrong the orange is a good sounding Amp but Not as easy to use as a Value or tube Amp...........
