I had an original 1957 junior that I unfortunately sold in the late 90's. I have missed that guitar ever since but I'm grateful that Fender released the Noventa Tele. Very similar. I'm looking for a good used one now. Thanks for the vid!
I really enjoy your fantastic detailed information you put forward for the items you make comparison. Keep it up with your superb playing that I enjoy your playing of your guitar. Bless you man❤❤❤.
Between these two, I'd have to give it to the tele. Just had a much wider frequency response and there for greater tonal spectrum. Also seemed like it would cut through a mix better.
Excellent demo in every way! Truly showed off similarities and subtle differences. It's always interesting to me how a Tele (even without it's infamous/traditional bridge) still has a little bit of that Tele midrange and twang even with a similar pickup. Thx for this!
I’ve pretty much got every guitar I want, but I don’t have a single P90 one. Debating between a Gibson LP Junior or an Eastman SB55/v. I own and love my guitars from both brands. Any thoughts?
I love the tone of my les paul jr the tele always sounds a lil thin overly bright n some time tinny to me. With the jr i feel i get a much more full warmer and beefier sound.
They both sound good so IMHO I think it's more about the neck shape and the playability. I have a Noventa Tele and my teck set it up so I love it as much as my more expensive guitars.
I like them both, and am eternally smitten and loyal to the classic Gibson formula of an all mahogany construction/P90, buuut.... Must admit that Noventa sounded amazing! Would love to see an SG Jr demo and comparison as well. Great video sir! Mahalo! 🤙🎶
@@rex8958 well, common sense dictates that two pickups on a guitar are at least three times more versatile than one. Each pickup individually plus the combination of the two, right?
Well done. I've been going back and forth between these two, trying to decide which will work best for my playing. I'm mainly a Fender guy and own 7 teles. Gibsons I've had include a 1967 SG Special (P90s) and early 2000s Les Paul BFG, with a P90 in the neck. Love P90s. For the cleans, in your demo, I favored the Fender. For overdriven tones, esp single-note lines, I found myself siding with the Junior.

Just the exact demo I was looking for, thank you! 🙏

Ho so does that Lp Jr have the music city aftermarket bridge?
No dude! However I would love to get one of those. Perhaps when I swing by Nashville in October I'll try to visit Music City
@@rhythmNbeard oh Cool, because it looks like it could be, but it seems to be in tune...very cool, I subscribed your Channel...
I have a telecaster but it is mahogany body and 6 saddle bridge
Both good. I’ll take the tele.

Tele for the versatility, Jr. for the vibe…
