Erica Hill ...and Drokmare, it’s impossible at this stage to know if your ex will come back to you or not (ultimately, mine did not), but rebound relationships almost never work and it will typically end within 3-6 months. Try to focus on your mental, emotional, and physical health right now. Tell yourself that if you have a chance with your ex, it won’t happen until after the rebound has run it’s course. So, try to use that 3-6 month time frame of impossibility to lessen your anxiety - when you hope every day that they will contact you today, your anxiety is at its highest. Then when they don’t contact you, you feel depressed and even more anxious - it’s a vicious cycle that can send you spiraling downward. So, just try to convince yourself that you will not hear from them until the rebound has run it’s course. Hopefully, you will hear from them at that time. Also, know that the rebound is not a reflection of your value or worth to your ex. In reality, it is more a reflection of how much they did value you and how much they are hurting right now. Instead of facing the pain head-on as you are doing, your ex is just trying to avoid the pain by masking it with superficial “limerance”. As Coach Lee teaches, limerance wears off and eventually reality sets in. This is why you will experience much more personal growth than your ex will during this time - you are facing up to it and growing from the experience. So he broke up with me when living together and we went 2 months no contact after 2 years of dating and started to communicate slowly and then he told me he still loved me out of nowhere In text and wanted to ease back into relationship. So soon after that we continued to talk casually and eventually met up and had hooked up. I noticed he started to slowly stop communication after the fact and I started feeling used and felt I was a hook up at his convenience but I stayed hopeful I wasn’t. Finally asked him what we were doing and he said he didn’t want a relationship and we were just friends. I was hurt and told him I wanted nothing to do with him and of course shortly after that he hit me up and said he wanted to talk about us which led to him meeting up with me and he asked to get back together and apologized etc. I accepted it after a small conversation. Fast forward we were together for 3 months before he wanted a second breakup due to him being annoyed at our conversations lately which made no sense to me since he’s the one who came back and at this point I feel I need to let go it’s too much. Also last thing to add we were long distant which is why we moved in together back before initial breakup.

So I'm gonna say about maybe 3 times the whole 4 months, but actually last week, he got a hold of me and ask me out to dinner to talk about our relationship, so we went out to dinner and he told me he wanted to try again if I was willing, and there you have it, the rest is history.

Hi Coach Lee, I just want to thank you for giving me hope. On the other hand I now realize I don’t want my Ex back. She left me when I needed her most. We were together for a year and I fought for her any time she needed asked help. Covid-19 put me in a rough spot. All my goals were destroyed and I had to start from scratch. I, like many during this pandemic started to feel depressed. (First time I have ever felt it to this degree) I wasn’t myself and I needed her help. I guess she received that as weakness and left me. She broke up with me in December, I watched your videos and bought the kit in February. She was even in a rebound, a little disrupted by the lockdown. My ex contacted me 4 months later. Was all excited when I responded and was telling be all about her life. She apologized. Wanted to see me. Stayed over one night. Sent me photos of her girls graduation and herself tanning but all she was doing was making sure I was good and seeing what I was up to. She would message every 5-9 days. Nothing crazy. It was like she was bread crumbing me. I called her out respectfully and at first she said she was focusing on herself and her daughter's. Then she brought up things I did in the past and how she still talks to the guy she left me for and has feelings for him. She wanted to be friends but I respectfully told her I had zero intentions of being friends. It was all or nothing for me. Basically I didn't take her rejection orc excuses personally. There's obviously some lack of truth in her responses and she just wanted me as a backup plan. At the end of the day, I didn't get mad or anything. I just told her to not contact me again and that I have a rule. If it's this hard for people to like each other, then it's not worth it. So I was done.
Next time she reaches out ask her to come over to your place and make dinner. Don't meet her out. Hang out, have a good time and lead it into the bedroom. DON'T BRING UP THE RELATIONSHIP!! Same as my ex After 1.5 month of no contact he reached out but he had bring along someone to compete with me🙄 He admitted that he just talking to her but no attention to get into relationship. When I run after what I think I want, my days are a furnace of stress and anxiety; when I sit in my own place of patience, what I need flows to me, and without pain. From this I understand that what I want also wants me, is looking for me and attracting me. There is a great wisdom here for anyone who can grasp it.

It’s true - I’ve been on both ends of the rope. I remember breaking up with someone and the begging or asking why and chasing after me just annoyed me and made me not want them so much more. That’s how I know it’s true - if you want another chance with a partner, as hard as it is to stay calm and neutral - do not beg or act like you’re very upset if they break up with you. They expect you to chase after them after the break up because they feel the upper hand in the relationship. Use reverse psychology - don’t get all upset - then no contact. In time it bothers them a lot just as they said in this interview with Coach Lee.

This is so true! I bought the emergency break up kit! I cared deeply for him and the more I tried to make things better in the beginning the more it failed! A little over a month of NC for me. Last time she wanted to "break up" was in March, but she called me the day after and said she wanted me back. That leads me to believe she might still be uncertain, but maybe since March she's solidified her answer. I may have messed up by taking her back so easily in March. Broke up with me in September. Any advice for us guys out here who got left and handled it like a champ? First tried to talk it out like an adult, then once realizing she didn’t want to talk about anything, initiated no contact (within 2 days of the text break-up) and have stayed completely committed and disciplined to the process. Olympia Elda I’ve come to realize that as well. I think when it first happened I was so devastated I felt like I needed him back ASAP but I’ve come to realize that I don’t actually want him anymore. He didn’t treat me right and falling out of love with me and “not feeling it anymore and wanting to distract” himself is such a bullshit answer and the fact that I literally tried everything to make him happy and he admitted that I was doing so much for him but it still just wasn’t worth it to him that’s honestly messed up, why would I want to be with someone who treats me like that? he’s just not worth my time anymore.

Inner reasons. Its not your fault, but somehow you got yourself into that, if you know what I mean. Sou chose him and ignores his bad or warning behaviours, they dont really turn overnight. Maybe to the future the question to go forward would be, what side of me needs somebody like that, what side of me puts up with it? So sou can find a different type of person. Always go into yourself, even when others are mean to you. I was dumped 2 weeks ago by email. I felt a mixture of anger and sadness over it & I still miss him. Having said that, for all the dumper-haters out there, people have the right to leave, to dump and be free. He has the right not to be with me even if I want to be with him. Sure it hurts, but I have a hard time believing we haven't dumped others (I have, though not by email). I look at it like this- This person did you/me a favor. You have no right to stop them from being happy as they also have NO RIGHT to string you along and prevent YOU/ME from finding the person that DESERVES YOU. Sometimes a relationship has simply run its course.
That’s your your way of projecting so you don’t have to deal with your emotions. You can’t heal while still being in drivel about what happened that lead to the breakdown in the relationship. You’ll bring this same wound into other relationships.
My bf dump me and I asked him to stay and he still get out in our place. I did not chase him I didn’t text him after few days he texted me and he said sorry and he miss me. I did all the wrong things and 5 months after he broke up with me he contacted me to inform me that he was getting married (to someone else) who he said he had just met. I never believed this as his behavior towards the end of our relationship was consistent with someone whose interest lies elsewhere so I think she was the reason why he broke up with me. At that point I wished him well (no drama) and have no longer been available to contact in any way (changed phone number, address, town, friends, no social media etc). That was over 10 years ago and since then he has divorced and remarried. After a few years I found out that after his divorce he had contacted a family member of mine through Facebook (he has no way to contact me and I'm no longer in touch with common acquaintances) but I was told he did not ask about me. However, I don't know whether my relative told me the truth as they have a grudge towards me (though he doesn't know this and perhaps assumed my relative and I were still in good standing as we used to be very close). I was left wondering whether his was an attempt to find a way to contact me. Who knows. Many years have past but this breakup was and the memory of it is still very painful for me. We had discussed marriage and a future together so to find out that he turned around just like that and built that dream with someone else was a huge shock. I feel like I dodged a bullet yet, at the time, I felt like I'd been tossed aside like a bag of garbage. Therefore, for me I guess, it's more about feeling vindicated if that makes sense.

I can see where I made mistakes while we were together and time and distance has given me a different perspective on things. I feel like his dishonesty (seeing someone behind my back before he broke up with me) would lead me not to trust him anymore even though I do still love him. Perhaps vindicated may not be the right word. The thing that upset me the most was feeling that perhaps our relationship had been a lie from the start and his reaching out to my relative made me think that perhaps he does care after all but I don't want to kid myself (trust issues).

When we broke up, I did all of the wrong things for a while. I loved him so much and it really did a number on me to the point that I had to have professional counseling but I worked at bettering myself and I never, ever bothered him again.
Apparently, he moved on and had at least one relationship and he is in a relationship with somebody now but he chose three ways to reach out to me, including calling me.
He watches my social media as much as he can but he doesn't have access to me on Facebook. He does watch me everyday on WhatsApp and occasionally he calls me. I'm not cold towards him but I'm not very warm and I don't talk about emotions or anything.
He did apologize for breaking my heart and I had already forgiven him. I did that for me! Unforgiveness is like a cancer in your life and it can make you miserable and those around you miserable. It's like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.
He claimed he was just checking on me because of Coronavirus and he thought maybe I might wonder how he's doing because of coronavirus. Can you believe that? How he was doing has never entered my mind this whole time during the pandemic.

Erica Hill ...and Drokmare, it’s impossible at this stage to know if your ex will come back to you or not (ultimately, mine did not), but rebound relationships almost never work and it will typically end within 3-6 months. Try to focus on your mental, emotional, and physical health right now. Tell yourself that if you have a chance with your ex, it won’t happen until after the rebound has run it’s course.
So, try to use that 3-6 month time frame of impossibility to lessen your anxiety - when you hope every day that they will contact you today, your anxiety is at its highest. Then when they don’t contact you, you feel depressed and even more anxious - it’s a vicious cycle that can send you spiraling downward. So, just try to convince yourself that you will not hear from them until the rebound has run it’s course. Hopefully, you will hear from them at that time.
Also, know that the rebound is not a reflection of your value or worth to your ex. In reality, it is more a reflection of how much they did value you and how much they are hurting right now. Instead of facing the pain head-on as you are doing, your ex is just trying to avoid the pain by masking it with superficial “limerance”. As Coach Lee teaches, limerance wears off and eventually reality sets in. This is why you will experience much more personal growth than your ex will during this time - you are facing up to it and growing from the experience.

So he broke up with me when living together and we went 2 months no contact after 2 years of dating and started to communicate slowly and then he told me he still loved me out of nowhere In text and wanted to ease back into relationship. So soon after that we continued to talk casually and eventually met up and had hooked up. I noticed he started to slowly stop communication after the fact and I started feeling used and felt I was a hook up at his convenience but I stayed hopeful I wasn’t. Finally asked him what we were doing and he said he didn’t want a relationship and we were just friends. I was hurt and told him I wanted nothing to do with him and of course shortly after that he hit me up and said he wanted to talk about us which led to him meeting up with me and he asked to get back together and apologized etc. I accepted it after a small conversation. Fast forward we were together for 3 months before he wanted a second breakup due to him being annoyed at our conversations lately which made no sense to me since he’s the one who came back and at this point I feel I need to let go it’s too much. Also last thing to add we were long distant which is why we moved in together back before initial breakup.

So I'm gonna say about maybe 3 times the whole 4 months, but actually last week, he got a hold of me and ask me out to dinner to talk about our relationship, so we went out to dinner and he told me he wanted to try again if I was willing, and there you have it, the rest is history.

Hi Coach Lee, I just want to thank you for giving me hope. On the other hand I now realize I don’t want my Ex back. She left me when I needed her most. We were together for a year and I fought for her any time she needed asked help. Covid-19 put me in a rough spot. All my goals were destroyed and I had to start from scratch. I, like many during this pandemic started to feel depressed. (First time I have ever felt it to this degree) I wasn’t myself and I needed her help. I guess she received that as weakness and left me. I am now beginning my journey out the hole she pushed me further into. I have feeling she will comeback once I’m out, but she has lost my trust. She broke up with me in December, I watched your videos and bought the kit in February. She was even in a rebound, a little disrupted by the lockdown. In May she reached out, in June she told me that she loved me and wanted me back. I'm kind of torn now because in the meantime I've healed. I thought I would die when she at first kept telling me that she never would take me back, and she had gotten over me. I'm so relieved now. However it'll go, you saved my life.

My ex contacted me 4 months later. Was all excited when I responded and was telling be all about her life. She apologized. Wanted to see me. Stayed over one night. Sent me photos of her girls graduation and herself tanning but all she was doing was making sure I was good and seeing what I was up to. She would message every 5-9 days. Nothing crazy. It was like she was bread crumbing me. I called her out respectfully and at first she said she was focusing on herself and her daughter's. Then she brought up things I did in the past and how she still talks to the guy she left me for and has feelings for him. She wanted to be friends but I respectfully told her I had zero intentions of being friends. It was all or nothing for me.
Basically I didn't take her rejection orc excuses personally. There's obviously some lack of truth in her responses and she just wanted me as a backup plan. At the end of the day, I didn't get mad or anything. I just told her to not contact me again and that I have a rule. If it's this hard for people to like each other, then it's not worth it. So I was done.

It’s been 8 months since a broke up with my ex, before and post brake up my life was a mess but now everything is great, and a big part of it is thanks to you lee your videos gave me strength so I thank u so much, I didn’t got back my ex she contacted me but I realized we didn’t fit anymore, and know 8 almost 9 months later I’m glad we broke up, now I have the chance to date whom ever I want and have time for myself, for anyone reading this the only thing I can say is stay strong things will get better
When I run after what I think I want, my days are a furnace of stress and anxiety; when I sit in my own place of patience, what I need flows to me, and without pain. From this I understand that what I want also wants me, is looking for me and attracting me. There is a great wisdom here for anyone who can grasp it.

It’s true - I’ve been on both ends of the rope. I remember breaking up with someone and the begging or asking why and chasing after me just annoyed me and made me not want them so much more. That’s how I know it’s true - if you want another chance with a partner, as hard as it is to stay calm and neutral - do not beg or act like you’re very upset if they break up with you. They expect you to chase after them after the break up because they feel the upper hand in the relationship. Use reverse psychology - don’t get all upset - then no contact. In time it bothers them a lot just as they said in this interview with Coach Lee.

In the meantime, I spent time with my friends, family, i was reading, studying, taking care of myself. And then - just in moment when my mind was free and calm... boom. As if there was a radar or something. Silence silence and suddenly ...missed call from him. 😃

This is so true! I bought the emergency break up kit! I cared deeply for him and the more I tried to make things better in the beginning the more it failed! It was awful -I watched Coach Lee avidly to get thru the rough days! Then one day I realized I couldn’t not invest anymore time in someone that seen no value in me! 🥳🥳🥳THANK YOU COACH LEE!!!🥳🥳🥳 No contact does work - as Coach Lee says, "believe & trust!" After 8 years together, we broke up in July, & he moved out. I was DEVASTATED. I never ever in a million years thought he would actually move out. We talked off & on in August because we were both confused about what we wanted, if we could fix things, etc. And then he met the "rebound". When I found out about HER, I finally told him we don't need to talk anymore and to leave me alone. That was last Wednesday. I did not contact him again. He showed up at my door this afternoon. I was shocked, to say the least - i thought he'd moved on. Well, apparently he dumped the rebound & wants to come home. I told him I wasn't sure, we still have a LOT to discuss & things to work out. I'm not sure what will happen, but we agreed to get together sometime this weekend to "talk". 🙏🤞🙏

Believe me it does work, it’s last week Thursday my wife come see me in ga. We missed each other’s so badly she already bought me a ticket to come home, and a bigger suitcase to put my things together. When she told she coming to see me I was shocked, the way we hug and kissed was incredible till no to mention when we did together.
Break ups suck - it’s like someone who you were close with stops existing one day. It’s scary how either person can just call it quits whenever they want - and the dumper knows what’s coming but the dumpee gets caught off guard most of the time.

A little over a month of NC for me. Last time she wanted to "break up" was in March, but she called me the day after and said she wanted me back. That leads me to believe she might still be uncertain, but maybe since March she's solidified her answer. I may have messed up by taking her back so easily in March. Broke up with me in September. Some days are fine, others are harder. She meant so much to me after 4 years with her. I was her first everything. Just been working out, taking classes, listening to videos and friends. Time is unfortunately the best answer for this kind of hurt.

Any advice for us guys out here who got left and handled it like a champ? First tried to talk it out like an adult, then once realizing she didn’t want to talk about anything, initiated no contact (within 2 days of the text break-up) and have stayed completely committed and disciplined to the process. I get that you have to work on yourself in the meantime too, but that’s second nature to me and I always am doing that anyway regardless of any current circumstances. I can list a ton of things I’ve improved on in life. None of it changes how much I love her and want to start over though. Honestly, I’m just surprised I haven’t heard more from her. She did like my FB status a lil over a month ago but I still don’t look at hers or interact at all. I keep hearing these success stories of guys who cried and begged and pleaded and eventually got theirs back and I’m happy for them, but frustrated too cuz I didn’t even really do any of that stuff. I am going through depression rn, but I kept telling myself to stay strong, however it’s so hard to fight from within. I thought I am alright but just recently I saw him with his new gf. No contact is for when you really don't want to be with them no more at all hence NO Contact its ment for manipulation a person comes back if they still have some attraction if they don't they may never come back no matter what you do

Hi Lee, if I was in a "normal" relationship, I'm sure that after all this time my ex and I would have been married by now. My ex, I found out was a narcissist, and he was very hurtful, and he FUTURE FAKED me with a promise of marriage. I know him 6 years, however we were engaged for 5 years. Olympia Elda I’ve come to realize that as well. I think when it first happened I was so devastated I felt like I needed him back ASAP but I’ve come to realize that I don’t actually want him anymore. He didn’t treat me right and falling out of love with me and “not feeling it anymore and wanting to distract” himself is such a bullshit answer and the fact that I literally tried everything to make him happy and he admitted that I was doing so much for him but it still just wasn’t worth it to him that’s honestly messed up, why would I want to be with someone who treats me like that? he’s just not worth my time anymore.
@@ronniechandler731 I am so sorry for that happened to you. You know, I am into getting to know yourself, psychology, and according to it, there is always a reason you get into these situations. Inner reasons. Its not your fault, but somehow you got yourself into that, if you know what I mean. Sou chose him and ignores his bad or warning behaviours, they dont really turn overnight. Maybe to the future the question to go forward would be, what side of me needs somebody like that, what side of me puts up with it? So sou can find a different type of person. Always go into yourself, even when others are mean to you. This way you will have the knowledge and the power to change your position - the only position that really matters in life, and that will bring you better opportunities and people into your life. I was dumped 2 weeks ago by email. I felt a mixture of anger and sadness over it & I still miss him. Having said that, for all the dumper-haters out there, people have the right to leave, to dump and be free. He has the right not to be with me even if I want to be with him. Sure it hurts, but I have a hard time believing we haven't dumped others (I have, though not by email). I look at it like this- This person did you/me a favor. You have no right to stop them from being happy as they also have NO RIGHT to string you along and prevent YOU/ME from finding the person that DESERVES YOU. Sometimes a relationship has simply run its course.
That’s your your way of projecting so you don’t have to deal with your emotions. You can’t heal while still being in drivel about what happened that lead to the breakdown in the relationship. You’ll bring this same wound into other relationships.

My bf dump me and I asked him to stay and he still get out in our place. I did not chase him I didn’t text him after few days he texted me and he said sorry and he miss me. After that, we reconnect after a week or so not seeing each other and we feel like we are on our first date again, and now we are back together and start fresh. No contact really works, it just work for me right away. He thinks I will chase him but I didn’t I told him I don’t have time to chase no one. I did all the wrong things and 5 months after he broke up with me he contacted me to inform me that he was getting married (to someone else) who he said he had just met. I never believed this as his behavior towards the end of our relationship was consistent with someone whose interest lies elsewhere so I think she was the reason why he broke up with me. At that point I wished him well (no drama) and have no longer been available to contact in any way (changed phone number, address, town, friends, no social media etc). That was over 10 years ago and since then he has divorced and remarried. After a few years I found out that after his divorce he had contacted a family member of mine through Facebook (he has no way to contact me and I'm no longer in touch with common acquaintances) but I was told he did not ask about me. However, I don't know whether my relative told me the truth as they have a grudge towards me (though he doesn't know this and perhaps assumed my relative and I were still in good standing as we used to be very close). I was left wondering whether his was an attempt to find a way to contact me. Who knows. Many years have past but this breakup was and the memory of it is still very painful for me. We had discussed marriage and a future together so to find out that he turned around just like that and built that dream with someone else was a huge shock. I feel like I dodged a bullet yet, at the time, I felt like I'd been tossed aside like a bag of garbage. Therefore, for me I guess, it's more about feeling vindicated if that makes sense.

I can see where I made mistakes while we were together and time and distance has given me a different perspective on things. I feel like his dishonesty (seeing someone behind my back before he broke up with me) would lead me not to trust him anymore even though I do still love him. Perhaps vindicated may not be the right word. The thing that upset me the most was feeling that perhaps our relationship had been a lie from the start and his reaching out to my relative made me think that perhaps he does care after all but I don't want to kid myself (trust issues).

@@Wifeyytalks Nope! But he did contact me after i went strictly into No Contact. We was on and off 4a short while and den he screwed up again BIGG time. So i moved away from d area and changed my phone num. And his new gf moved in wit him. He wud put up pictures wit her often on Whatsapp and it killed me so BADD inside til i deleted his num off my phone today... so i won't b able 2 see his whatsapp pro pics changin every other day. I hav met som 1 and i'm NOT 2 sure as 2 how far it wud go...but ALL i knw is dat i like him ALOT. He makes me smile and i tink dat's good ENOUGH 2 make a start😊....DON'T u??? I do stil hav love 4my Ex. But tings wud NOT EVER b d same again. It's like broken glass...NOTHING can completely fix a broken piece of glass. It wud NEVER b d same as it once was.
