    Excellent demo of this impact driver and uses, ideal for a novice user, new to an impact driver.

    I use the 787 to remove lots of nuts and bolts. The amount of time it saves is insane.

    Yay extended drill video. Only just got an impact driver! Great stuff. Good to see it works on bolts too. "rusted buts and nolts" quite the tongue twister 🤣😂

      Hector, I usually use an impact driver for nuts and bolts that aren’t torqued down super tight because an impact wrench is too big and powerful for those tasks.

    I have the DCF787, and it has been working well for me.
    For people that don’t understand newton meters or other metric specs, it’s rated at 1500 inch pounds of torque.
    I would highly recommend using a decent sized battery, or having an extra battery on hand because it drains the 1.3 amp battery quickly when you’re using it steadily.

      @JimmyTheMower  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a great bit of kit.
      I built an entire bar using this and a circular saw and only 2x5ah batteries

      @@JimmyTheMower I got it almost two years ago in the kit with the dcd777 drill , two 1.3 amp batteries, a charger and a bag.
      I literally used the impact driver for the first time Wednesday.

      I bought the combi drill and impact driver together in a case.
      They have done me well.

      @@JimmyTheMower Did you get the dcd777?
      It’s a decent drill for lighter duty stuff. I just got the dcd800 to round out my set for the occasions when I need a more powerful drill.

    The Dewalt dcf887 dcf787 are great tools, at a fair price. Currently they are on sale for £50-60 ish, they are a real bargain compared to the green and red brands.
    If were to give any advice, it would be that if you are really straining the Dewalt tool or working them for a long time, and they are getting hot, back off a bit and give them a break for a bit. They will last a lot longer.

      @@JimmyTheMower Only reason I ask is that I recently borrowed a makita impact driver to drive some baypole screws through plaster and metal lintels to fit 8 window blinds. It was astonishing! Powerful to the extreme where my combi couldn't cope. Hoping the dewalt is equally able

    Is this an impact wrench, can be used as a 3/8 or 1/2 inch drive ?

    • @JimmyTheMower
      @JimmyTheMower  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can buy adapters so you can use it with larger sockets but it is mainly for light work.
      I have a large Dewalt Impact Wrench that I will make a video on this winter.
