      Hey Jimmy! Have you tried a gen 4 iPad pro 12.9" (2020) in the current ESR case?
      A lot of Amazon comments say it fits but I trust your opinion more. There is a .6mm difference in thickness between the 4th gen vs gen 5/6 but all other dimensions seem identical (height+width+camera). If anyone is running this on their gen 4 or has tried the fit please leave a comment!
      Thank you!

    Totally agree with you Jimmy on pretty much every point. I live Thailand, between the 2 cases only the ESR is available. but I wouldn't have been willing to pay mugus price. I just received my 13" Air shift case, following your great review (earlier review) and I absolutely love its functionality, its solid construction. To me the weight is no issue. I only will occasionally lug it around in a backpack. To me its variety in viewing angles and options, its sturdiness and its weighs nothing on my lap. can't go wrong.

    I haven’t tried the ESR but I will now. I have been using the ZUGU for about three years. I really like the ease of removing the iPad from the ESR. Will it connect to the Apple Magic Keyboard? That would be perfect! BTW you are very beautiful.

    I have an ipad air 13'' and i bought the ESR shift case but when i leave the stand on and try to connect the apple pencil it acts weird and some features like the barrel roll dont work with both parts of the case. When i remove the stand and then put it back it works again. Has anyone else had this problem?

    Can you elaborate on which case is the pencil safe when kept on sides? Your video shows its safe on zugu but it doesn’t show anything when kept on side of the ESR with flap closed. Does it get flushed-in (level wise) when the covered? If not, how much bulged does it look. Please help.

    Shift esr is better I ordered both in 13inch and I liked the versatility of the esr more with two stands and you can detach it to make it lighter compared to the Zugu felt like a loose fit and could pop out easily

      @@AngelLopez-iz3fl I didn’t get the impression that Zugu was loose but maybe the rubbery material is just a bit more malleable. In some sense, it kinda reminded me of a child’s iPad case. Thanks for sharing your experience on the two cases 👍🏻

    I really NEED this type of folio but WITH microfiber on the screencover and WITH detachable case!! Do you have recommendations?
    I need it because I don’t want to remove my screenprotector if it’s not properly protected in my case… And I really want to remove my screenprotector because the glare is awful and really impacts the image quality.
    Reason why I like these kind of cases is because they are so very stable, even on your lap.

    After trying both, I can confidently say that the ESR case is hands-down better than the Zugu. The functionality, flexibility, and price are all superior. Honestly, I don’t get why Zugu is still selling so well-it’s bulkier and has more limited functionality compared to ESR. Just my two cents after using them both!

    • @JimmyLamStudio
      @JimmyLamStudio  13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Most of Zugu's cost just goes to marketing and I guess it works for them. Some aspects of Zugu's is better than ESR but not enough to outweigh the features ESR(imo) has but I guess some people don't care about those things. And some Zugu comments give off some "brand loyalty" sentiments which is pretty stupid considering none of these brands actually care about you anyways. But to each their own, they can spend their money how they want.

    Great video, and great products, but neither works for me. I'm looking for a case with similar features that allows me to easily move the tablet between the case and my Magic Keyboard Case (i.e., without having to to snap and unsnap the tablet into and out of the back cover, relying on magnets alone). I find the MKC perfect for my needs in every way but one: it can be tippy when I am using it in a reclined position for drawing and media consumption, at which times the on-screen keyboard is sufficient. Can you suggest a case that would meet my needs? Note I am not overly concerned about protection of the tablet or pencil as they never leave my home.

    It's kind of hilarious when an ipad is around 450g and the case is heavier. I'm kinda split on what to choose. Honestly, I want something very stable that I can put in a few different angles and that can be used in both orientations, if I read books/novels, I don't want it to be sideways, a lot of cases only allow for it to stand stably on the side. I wish these cases were of higher quality material, the price is very hefty for the honestly lackluster material choices. Other "good" brands that use higher quality materials often just have types you can only have sideways, that are unstable any other way and that you can't change the viewing angle of much. But ESR is looking to be the one to try and see what I think about it. Durability isn't a huge issue, even my otterbox folio cases started getting ruined at parts after 1-2 years I probably won't touch the cases that much. I wondered about getting a magnetic case that you don't wrap around the ipad, just click on so it's easy to completely remove, but it seems to me that you wouldn't want to hold the ipad without a case anyway since it's simply too thin to grasp comfortably.
    Starting to think that the best way to go about it would be to just buy a few different sorts and test them, sending back the ones I don't want.
