1600kg, 1800kW, 2400nm, 50psi, 5.3L, 98mm turbo…. I’m sitting here finishing lunch in the shop with my hands over my face saying Jesus Christ
People in the Middle East going nuts with this engine I have seen many builds with 2000-2700 whp record in standing half mile is 361km/h record for 1/4mile is 6.9sec for truck version and 7.1sec for lwb

He is, he's helped me out over 15 years ago. He was just a dude that liked cars and its great to see him produce amazing cars.

finally as an Arabian guy who loves this engine and much people of my country in meddle east love that engine we modified it from 2010 and before but you guys your work is fooking clean awesome job !

Around 10:40 you can see the inlet manifold balloon under boost - 50psi! Serious stuff!

@@Low760 Listen you dimwit, even with a Dart 427 and twin 88s, they're only doing only 2000hp. A 5.3 would split well before that. 🤦

Wow, I never knew there was such a large displacement I-6 available. This thing makes crazy horsepower and torque. Who would've thought that Nissan released a 290 cubic inch displacement inline 6?
They're hugely popular with the sand drag crowd in the middle east
Toyota has their own version that goes in the land cruiser - 1fz which is 4.5l
Love the Arab style patrol now just want to see this do the 1/4 up a 12° sand hill in 9 secs. My TB42 is making a stout 110kw but I reckon it uses as much feul as this beast

Damn. This thing is incredible.
I love how it has a sensor to detect if the front end is picking up too much. That's a neat trick to monitor pressure ratio and air mas and correlate to the compressor map with the click of a button. This thing is automotive tech to an extreme. I'd love to see a follow up of it making some passes.

QUALITY BUILD FOR SURE. Hey, this reminds me of a similar Patrol shown on The Grand Tour channel running GTR running gear and modded to 1900 HP. That monster destroyed a Porsche 918 with Richard Hammond driving the Porsche. You guys could come up with some great vids if you ever went over there. Thanks

I've got to say i'm shamelessly proud of the amount of American made parts on this car, It weird how two country so far away are so similar when it comes to car culture. American car culture would be just like Australian car culture if everyone who was into it was under 50.

06:05 this GQ is immaculate even the clock works!
I don't know if you noticed in the video at the 10.30-10.41 min mark, you can see the intake manifold expand during the dyno run, and then when let off the manifold gets sucked down. There's a lot of deflection in the plenum chamber. Imagine that going BANG when the metal fatigues??? Perhaps TIG a couple of straps or a designed artistic aluminium rod type skeleton to strengthen the top of plenum chamber. Blown away with the level of tech & workmanship on that Beast. Hope it holds together and you have good results at the track. Cheers Rick...

@@kaybee9363 TB48 makes torque a lot easier than 4l barra does specially from low rpm... also show me n/a barra that makes 300hp like most na tb48 patrols do in middle east.
