I had one of these computers and it was always getting really hot and rebooting, THANK YOU SO MUCH!! for going through the disassembling process.. Cleaned the inside now runs so much cooler and quicker..
If the purpose of this video is to show how to get to the processor, it's ok, we learned something, but CLEANING??? Really? Dusting the fan and heatsink over the computer, laying that copper piece over the PCB that's not ok.. A butcher would be nicer with this laptop..
Thanks for making this Fyi if anyone cant get their laptop to start after this and the power led blinks blue-red 12 times, the small ribbon cable on the keyboard is damaged and shorting
The same. The fan is now cleared. And, the unit doesn't seem to overheat. But, now it shuts down every minute or two instead of every few hours or when while playing candy crush or a CPU draining task. Did you fix yours? I'm going to reinstall the OS from a USB drive. Perhaps the issue is that 'he' needed to remove the old thermal paste and apply fresh paste to the key areas under the heatsink. IDK.
I would deeply appreciate your advice on the following: The graphic card on HP-EliteBook 8540-P laptop is Nvidia, which causing lot of problems & CPU overheating on Win 10 & Linux. My question: Can I install a different graphic card, IF so which types or options you suggest? Many thanks
Es gibt einen kleinen Trick. Die Tastatur anheben und mit Druckluft durch die Kühlrippen von Hinten sauber pusten. Voila, und der Laptop wird nicht mehr heiß.
