I am trying to re-assemble the top housing unit where the umbrella hangs from, 9:30 - 11:00 in your video. How do you keep the bushings keeping the pulley inside the tube at the front in place? I have to manipulate mine to keep them on and that screws up my ability to keep the bottom front bearing-bushing alignment in place before I start trying to align with the plastic piece inside. In your video your bushings don't move on the white cap. I can't the see the bottom, but assuming it is on there because you just lift the casing up and everything fits great. I was thinking your small silver bushings are staying in place from grease? You do that piece in 1:30 and I'm on several hours because I can't get the silver bushings to stay in place. Only time the piece seals properly is when the internal bushings come out and are threaded through the bolt keeping the two pieces together because they fall out. It would be helpful to understand how the bushings on the white cap where the pulley is inside just sit there for you. Thanks.
Nick appreciate this information. Do you have some experience with repairing a rotating hub on a patio umbrella? The foot pedal moves the release up but the column refuses to turn. Frustrating as I see no way to disassemble for inspection.
I have a feeling that the bolts on the bottom going back up into the rotating hub are loose causing it to lean and not move. If you take the two bolts off of the lower main mast that connect the mast to the rotating hub. Then the five bolts that hold the hub to the base you can take the hub off. Try that and if you are still having a problem give me a call.

My canopy when cranking does not want to suck up into tube for stability any more. It will go to about a inch short of going all the way into the top.
