Was the slit near the umbrella support installed backwards in this video? See video time 10:05. It appears the cable would pass through the slit if it were installed on the opposite side within the gemel hinge. If it is installed backwards, it seems like the cable could fail prematurely.
I couldn't agree with you more. I never noticed that and it would make sense for the slit to go back to the pulley so the cord could run without touching the cap.
