I wait for over one year for Carinthia Poncho. I have two Swagman. When i saw the price from Carinthia i can not understand what happend with Carinthia. You have the cheepest Version from Carinthia. More expensive is the R = rain and C = cold Version. Nearly 500 Euro in germany. Now i bougt my 3. Version from Swagman. The reversible Swagman. And i am realy happy and i payed only 139 Euro. Sorry for my bad english. Best regards from Germany. Sven
Very very few english language vids on this poncho system. To buy it you have to be hooked on Carinthia products. I cannot get enough of them. Yes, it's expensive but it probably is the best poncho system out there and eventually I'm going to get it. Mike didn't get into all the details but I'd like to know how long it is with the zipped in hood. I'm 6'5" so eventually when Mike actually uses it, he can mention the specs. Note that Carinthia also makes a really light sleeping bag known as the G40 liner. Very light and can be used on its own as a summer bag or to beef up your three season bag and make it a four season bag. No vids available on it so maybe Mike would want to check it out for us. If you want military sleeping bags made by the same manufacturer with the same insulation and quality but a bit cheaper, check out Vertex Outdoors.
I’ve been selling Carinthia military bags for a very long time. I’m no longer dealing with them. But love them. I own several bags from them. Including the jungle bag and the fleece liner they offer. The carinthis poncho liner is for up to 2 meters. But from expertise with a friend of mine who very tall. This still works.
Not that’s I’ve found. But I believe it’s probably around -5C male and +5C female. My opinion. I’ll update this once I know for sure. But I say this because the Gloft insulation in a defense 5 is rated at -15C

Hadn’t realized that it took so long.
all of them are hard to replace my HPG Serape ...
I’ve never touched HPG but I’ve several friends who use and love it. I’m hoping to see some of their gear soon.

almost $400.00 USD thats crazy expensive
Far too much for a sleeping bag or poncho
That's like calling the 911 the beetle killer. Totally different market.
Very true.
A game changer you say, yet you've never tried it? At that price it really should be extremely warm, lightweight, durable and comfortable.
I have tried it. There’s a second video
And the question is if a game changer.
Fjellduken jerven Xtherm
I’ve been using a Fjelldurken with the reflective inside blanket for over 15 years. Really good. But not the same.
1 1/2 pounds. Weight is not to bad
Does it have a temp rating?

Not at the price there asking for it
Totally agree. But if you’re looking for a system to use across the board. Summer sleeping bag.
Quilt
Insulated poncho
This is perfect
@@mikebox I don’t disbelieve you friend, Carinthia make 1st class kit.
@Mugwumps107 you are 100% correct. Tooooooo expensive
That's what I'm thinking also. It's better than the swagman. But the price is astronomical.
