@mason5540 looked like a SBC. I know with Chevy's, there are 396, 402, and 454 big blocks. But the 400 shown in the video had big block valve covers like my 454. So I don't think I understand all I know about that 400 chevy engine.😁

Great job on the build n polish. After 40 years can't expect miracles
It does look better at the end. Yes there are cheaper products out there but trial by fire to find a good one. I used it on my 83 hurst n it came out not bad. Thank you for the video. Love it

Would love a clean mid 80’s dodge b1500 or 2500. I had an 85 2500 and looked awesome but the rust underneath started to take over so I got rid of it. Haven’t found one as nice or worth buying since

I grew up with the G-Body. IMO, GM used whatever happened to be laying around as they transitioned into the FWD platforms across the board. They threw all the R&D into the Ponys. Guess they didn't have any Hot Rodders left from the Muscle Era. Give me an "IRAQI TAXI", because I need a moredoor, any day of the week, a few bolt-ons and 30 years of innovation under the hood and I'm a happy camper.
There's a build going on right now over in the G-Body Forum where the guy's transplanting everything from a Camaro to an '83 Malibu Wagon.

I had an 84 Regal with a stock motorhome 350 small block Chevy and a 350 turbo trans with a shift kit and it would chirp the tires also. Certainly not an all out race engine but not bad at all.

When I adapted my olds motor to a 700R4, I used a TCI adapter kit. It came with the plate and the hardware needed for it to bolt up.

Curious how did you mount a 700 R4 with a chevy bell housing bolt pattern to an Olds engine with the BOP bolt pattern ?

Hurts/Olds came with a Th2004r transmission, which is a universal bolt pattern. You can use B.O.P. with them. But also, ya, most likely an adapter.
