It was called Mario 5 not 2 and said 1991 ECE instead of 1988 Nintendo at the bottom of the screen. I also had the original NES, but the cartridges were more expensive for that, and i had a lot more yellow bootleg cartridges.

Yeah, since the original uses mostly the 25% duty cycle, this one uses the 50% one (which is the only the Master System can generate).
Is there any famiclone without this bug and support for the FDS?
AFAIK most modern day clones are free of this bug, but I don't know about the FDS support
