This makes me irrationally angry. Good vid!
this makes my brain want to self destruct itself, great video
I'm glad I caused you pain, thanks for watching!
50% duty cycle sounds so relaxing... i like so much its "hollowness" sound quality. Hear Cursed Kings :3
"ooh oo-ooh, ooh ooh-ooh"
this duty cycle sounds like if you were singing with your mouth in an o shape
been a long time since I played mario 3, I can't tell the difference...
Each effect is ever so slightly off. It's hard to tell, but very noticeable in some spots. The instrument that chimes in during the chorus of Overworld, for example, is entirely different.
I may have lost 500 hours to this game growing up 😂
I played this religiously back in the day. Mastered all the timings for the best items. Sadly, at almost 40, I'm losing my touch.@@natecw4164
star theme with the 50% duty cycle sounds like smb1/smb2j
i like this
basically would have believed this came out in 1986 along with smb2j but it could've hampered both games
Hearing SMB3 OST with the SMB1 duty cycle is bizarre
fortress, underground, and the koopa kids themes are the only ones I would say are worse in any way.
all of these are epic.
these go hard, also i found out fceux has a feature for swapping the duty cycle
Yeah, MESEN has that feature too.
This is practically SMB3, if it was released in 1985.
or 1986/early 1987
i wonder if it's techinically possible to mess with duty cycles in an emulator to have it all at 12.25%
Super Upin & Ipin 3 Hack Of Smb3
This is the brazillian soundtrack
SMB3 With The Pitch Of Some Instruments Matching SMB1's Instruments.
i suddenly really want to hear megaman 1-6’s ost in this weird evil fucked up version
They're in my plans, yes
Super Mario Bros. 3 in Super Mario Bros. Soundfont?
It sounds that way because all music in SMB1 uses the 50% duty cycle while most SMB3 music uses the 25% one, and famiclones have those duty cycles swapped.
ik,@@chirinea
Eu sempre curti muito a terceira musiquinha. E graças a seu video agora eu sei ate o nome. 😂
@@chirinea sim, me referia à Athletic. Nome realmente curioso.
Amo o Brasil...
the swapped duty cycles sound good to me somehow
You should check the SMB1 soundtrack, then. The water theme here sounds so much better to my ears.
i think its look like famicom disk system version
So smb1 sounds like smb3 and smb3 sounds like smb1
And that's because SMB1 uses the 50% duty cycle and SMB3 uses mostly the 25%, and those are the ones that are swapped in those famiclones
same thought
Could you change the first timestamp to 00:00 so we get the chapters? It’ll help a lot
Done!
Except you'd never find it on an early bootleg console or multicart since the MMC3B mapper was too complex.
How early do you mean? Some of the cartridges in this page are as early as 1991 at least, all bootleg. videogamebrasileiro.fandom.com/pt-br/wiki/Super_Mario_Bros._3
I posted the video because that's how I listened to this soundtrack since I first got my famiclone back in 1991.
@@chirinea I do mean the pirate multi-game consoles and cartridges that predate emulator boxes.
I guess they could pull it off on single game carts because there is no conflict between the game switcher and the ROM mapper.
@@soundspark early pirate carts had pirate mappers that could replace the original Nintendo ones. The MMC3 mapper has many pirate variants, the MMC5 however is another story. I never saw a pirate Castlevania 3 back in the day, for instance.
In any case, the point of those videos (I also posted the entire SMB1 soundtrack) is to show how even original games sounded when played on old Famiclones with the UMC CPU that swaps the duty cycles.
Famiclones work on 50Hz
Not all of them, Brazilian famiclones work at 60 Hz.
thanks, i hate it
You're welcome!
