Bought this for just over $700 on Amazon. Says 4 stars, but that could be because Amazon consolidates multiple models under one review page, which includes the G8 Ultrawide. Regardless, I'm excited to try it out with Stalker 2.
I recently picked it up. Love it. Blacks are pretty deep. Deep as oled blacks? No, but the brightness blows away any oled I’ve tried, and I’ve had more than enough that I’ve tried. Image clarity is a thing to behold.
This is my main monitor. Bought it at $1k over a year ago. It's an awesome awesome panel. I have an LG 27'' OLED right next to it, and this hands down has better image quality.
Can you disable DSC on it? To use DLDSR? I just noticed that this monitor apparently has a very good BFI implementation, and I'm gaining interest on it.
I use my Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 now for 3 Months.. and i dont realise the curved anymore.. its just fantastic bro.. but i change my brightness from 100 to 50 .. its just to bright for my Eyes
Hey, do you think it is a good monitor for productivity? Mostly, I want to use it for reading text and media consumption, then maybe try ps5 at some point .. those productivity monitors don't have colors and 100+Hzlike these and oled burns and text clarity is worst on those so
Of course, i enjoy it every day lol. Neo G8 and Neo G7 are kings monitors otherwise yes too many memories, really something else lol Those almost like Masterpiece and still does today. I look forward coming next later generation of monitor with 10.000 or 20.000 Mini LED local dimming. I heard 4.000 local dimming zones of monitor will coming in this year or next year.
crazy. this video was made 3 months ago and its NOV 24 today. These places are having black Friday "deals" and saying 42%, was 1300 now 739 is bullshit. But the price has always been 739?
They always try to make it seem like a better deal then it is. But I have never seen this at $699 for example.. Always around $739-799 on sales. Usually $850.
Still a great display as I bought one new and kept it even though I have purchased many other monitors over the years. Looking forward to the new BenQ mini LED as well.

@@dr.sharkmonk374 it’s a good display for productivity being 4k but some people don’t care for a curved display for mainly reading text but I am used to it. Text is very sharp on that display
Im planning on buy this monitor but i am afraid that since is a VA panel it has black smearing that is basically the textures flickering when you use sharpening/antialiasing or high contrast in some games, is there a way u could test that or tell me your experience?. Again, it only appears when you apply some sharpening like from the nvidia or amd drivers
Getting a Samsung OLED G8 this monday as upgrade to my Neo G8. Will be interesting to see how it compares. Still think the Neo G8 is amazing but I've noticed my 4090 struggling in newer titles that use Unreal Engine 5 with having really bad stutter and 1% lows. VA panel technology can't handle this very well. OLED is a lot more consistent. So I expect a huge benefit in motion clarity. I will keep my Neo G8 for my racing cockpit setup however. It's replacing my old regular G7 which has served me well. I got a huge discount on the OLED G8 through benefits at work program at my new job. I used to pay full price haha.
If this hit 400, it would be a must buy. It’s getting very close to that with Samsung EPP pricing. I hope Samsung releases a 27 “ 4k 240hz miniled soon. It would make a good stacked monitor choice.
Hey Viktor, I bought the og g7 last year after watching your videos about it and I still love it but I wanted to try 4k and I got my eye on neo g8 but I don't know if it's worth upgrading from og g7 to neo g8 ? is it really that better and crispier? Also I've seen others suggesting that buying oled is better but unfortunately in my country (Iran) there is no burn in warranty for oleds and many models are unavailable here , and oleds are way more expensive . So do you think is it worth upgrading from og g7 to neo g8 or I should wait for better oleds without burn in in the near future to become available in my country? Ty
@@sejudie7391 I would say wait for next yrs OLEDs or get the Benq EX321UX. I will be getting that soon and its the best mini led monitor on the market. Very bright better vs the Neo.
I been looking at getting a new monitor for my ps5 pro to get the best picture and performance out of my console. There's so many but I do keep looking at the neo G8 Qled 32" monitor. I'm a casual player but wouldn't mind getting an oled if I could get a 32" under 1000 bucks but I have seen so many different monitors I can't choose lol

I watched your vids for the last ~7 days to buy the KTC M27T20 but then I was bit reluctant because of the VA panel so I thought of KTC M27P20 which is IPS, 4K (More Expensive) but then saw a video that mentions it's not worth the price etc... @dr.sharkmonk374 very nice blacks. Colors are amazing. Clearity is great because it has the mini LEDs. I use it for gaming and is great for everything. I just got the Neo Oled G8 (G80sd) and there are definitely some features that i miss from my old mini-led monitor (QLED G8). One of them being the brightness as it made the colors really stand out in hdr. I also never experienced scan lines and blooming is rarely noticeable in text and in some game menus. Suffice to say i might just end up keeping my Neo G8 as a second monitor so i highly recommend it.

G8 mini LED 240hz display is the best 4k LCD display because it has just 2.8ms average response time which is insane even 540hz 1080p TN zowie monitor has like 2.5ms average response time.
