Rachel, I don’t know how you are getting all of these things done! Your enthusiasm is such an inspiration and your joy and happiness is so much fun to watch! I hope you are soon able to do this full-time! The world needs more examples of people just like you! Thank you for spreading your joy!❤
Rachel, in my book you have earned the “Amazing Quilter Award.” Your finished projects and the progress made on other projects this past couple of weeks is remarkable. I can’t believe how much you have accomplished! You inspire me to press on with my own WIPs. Thank you!
Hello Rachel. I just discovered your TH-cam Channel and want to share how much I am enjoying learning from you. You are absolutely lovely and inspiring. Thank you!
Lots of fun! I love your colour and print choices. And your cheery smiles as you enthusiastically tell us of your sewing adventures. Very inspiring! Thank you for reminding us to make time for the joy of quilting!
I thoroughly enjoy watching all your videos, your enthusiasm and passion for your crafts is inspiring. I find it refreshing when you point out the mistakes you make which makes me feel better about my own, and I do a lot! Thank you
Hi Rachel, love your quilt/sewing projects. 💐 your little bag , i have made a similar bag last year at a class and right from the start i put my sewing stuff in there. From a quarter inch ruler, some clips, snips, biro. A few different fabric makers. My roller , 2 different size rotary cutter and a pack each of blades. Snips, scissors, a small container of pins. . A small notebook. The container of sewing machine needles and hand embroidery needles. So handy to grab and go better than my biscuit tin I was using. Lol
Oh you precious girl!!! You have been so busy. Everything is just lovely and so well made. I do hope you are able to be full time in the near future. As I love your videos and you always make me smile. I am obsessed with the Alice quilt. Just finished the quarter square triangle section, thank God!!! On to diamond in a square which will be so relaxing as I already know how to make them. The quilt is going to my 4 year old granddaughter Bella and her mom said she is so excited! I told her it had 100 squares and she told me she could count to 100 now too!!!! What a joy. You keep up the good work, I love the variety of things you show . Jean Colorado USA
I love that name. Better than my basket of “small wrecks to be repaired.” Lol. I think i will adopt that! Sometimes projects on hold in the “naughty corner” can be quite fun as warm up exercises to get creative with, when we haven’t been sewing much, to kind of get back into the swing of things.
WOW - you really have been a busy girl!! I love all the things you shared - & everything looks so professionally done! Good Job, Rachel! You should be very proud of yourself!👏👏👏👏👏
What fabulous projects. I haven’t attempted a zipper pouch but you have inspired me to try. I laughed when you said about making a quilted handbag so when you left the house people would know you were a quilter. I went to the quilt show in Birmingham with my sister, who is not a crafter at all, and everyone she saw with a quilted bag, jacket, brooch etc she would say ‘there’s one of your friends!’ We did have a laugh. Thank you for sharing and enjoy the festival.
What a wonderful lot of sewing you have done. The cross-body bag is great. I love the zips you bought, have never seen anything like them before. Love all the quilts & bags.
I've seen other bag makers bind the top edge of the bag first to cover the raw edge then sew the the fancy zippers on top, then the whole super cute zipper shows. Super cute!
Fabulous projects! You made me laugh out loud talking about you and your machine. Glad you are friends now😆. You do beautiful work. Greetings from Alabama, USA.
Rachel, the best friend bag was fabulous! I just sewed my 1st zipper ever. I've done 3 now. I'm giving them all as gifts. I can't wait to see Hannah the hedgehog. Have a wonderful week.
I’ve been wanting to make one of these rugs for ages and have all the supplies, may have to change the jelly roll as it doesn’t match the decor now, so your video was a great incentive to actually get round to making it. Hopefully mine will turn out as good as your looks.💕
Oh Rachel you're such a day of sunshine (despite our British summer!!!). Love the bags. I've just been making a few little phone bags to take just a phone and maybe credit\debit card. They're very sweet. Not however as sweet as your tiny little duffle bag. That's super cute. You deserve to realise your hope for the future.
So much to love in this video. Your bags turned out so beautiful! I also love the houses. I definitely want to try making something with the houses. Even if it's just a little row on a wall hanging. 🌻
Love your videos. I’m 71 years old and love all things sewing and patchwork. I used your vip code to buy some Tula fabric from rainbow fabrics. Your hedgehog doll is gorgeous. Actually every single thing you have made is lovely. Warm regards from NSW Australia 💗🌸💕
Thank you for a wonderful video. Your fat quarter materials are beautiful. Was looking at the lampshade in the background and now found your video for this so going to have a go at making one.
Adorable micro duffle bag, Rachel! Might be fun to make matching pillowcases for you and your sister when you have sewing getaways out of the “Best Friend” fabric.
Great video! Thanks so much for sharing the pattern for the crossbody bag. My 10 year old granddaughter mentioned to me yesterday that she wants to make a crossbody bag with me and that pattern looks perfect. I would be doing most of the sewing, right now she is most interested in picking out the fabrics😊
Lovely work as ever Rachel . I asked my son to order Alice’s Sample book for me & I met him for coffee yesterday & brought it along . But best of all he wouldn’t take pay for it . What a lovely son I’ve have . Can’t wait to look through it now . Tomorrow Tuesday is my free day as such . So large pot of coffee & sit & look at it . Looks lovely though. ❤
Rachel I really enjoyed your video, I loved seeing all the things you have made everything is beautiful. I love seeing your purchases too. All very inspiring thank you.😊
You are so clever Rachel and seem to have made so many lovely things. I love your beautiful fabric purchases too. By the way you could sew the zips to the outside of the fabric so you won't hide the design. I have some lace zips that I do that way. Take care xx
Rachel, love watching your videos. you are so inspiring. I have started to hand stitch since I have been watching you. I have been machine sewing quilt tops for over 25 years. The one piece of advice my mother taught me is to always use a 1/4 inch seam unless otherwise stated in the pattern. I wish we were closer so we could sew and quilt together. Keep up the good work. Carol in California USA 🧵🪡🧶👝🎒
So enjoyed this -seeing all your projects and ideas. You're fun to watch and inspiring me to use all those fabrics that I've bought, admired but not cut into yet!
Love your videos. Cute bags! I was actually making a tote bag when your video popped up. I have a fat quarter of the second piece of fabric you showed with the children on it. I haven't decided how to use it either. I've had it for a few years now.
We must have the same in fabric! its hard to know what to use it for because I dont want to cut into another of the children.. the perfect project will come along!
Fun video. I laughed because once you start sewing bags it’s hard to stop. They’re fun to sew and very useful. I’m not sure how you quilted your duffel bag but if you quilt back and forth you tend to get those ripply areas. If you quilt top to bottom or left to right etc then you shouldn’t see those wrinkles. Unless it’s a fabric or stabilizer type issue. I cut my fabrics an inch or so larger if I’m doing a bunch of quilting. Then if It gets a bit weird I can trim It to size. Usually if you’re using a walking foot and not tight matchstick quilting the fabric should stretch very much. Your houses are darling. Perfect size in my opinion. Not large houses with too much sky. Your fabrics are so cute. Happy sewing!
Hi Rachel! Oh my I love everything you are making especially the large Tula bag. There is an acrylic precut insert to put on the bottom of that bag so it would not sag if it were full which I love. If you are interested just msg back and I can give you that information. The sock and yarn you are using is beautiful. I only wish I knew how to knit. Maybe someday. Too many quilts to make for now🤗 thank you for catching us up on your progress!💕
Lovely projects! If I might stumble across you at the Festival of quilts next week I hope it would be ok to say hi (if my little introverted self might find the courage 😂). Have a wonderful week till then.
I love your bags! Your sock is so cute! You might want to consider doing a short row heel like the shadow wrap heel, otherwise a heel flap and gusset will mess with your micro stripes. ❤
Enjoy your podcast and appreciate your video in hand quilting, I have a quilt basted and ready to go and just need to make the jump to start. What is the little mushroom wall hanging behind you on this video? So cute!!!! Love your bag…… must make one! So much inspiration
Rachel, your videos are amazing. You have such wonderful taste in material. Note; when ever I make something kind of different or something I may not make in a while I will write up a note to remind me to watch out for specific “problem” areas so that when I make the item at a later time I will be reminded to take care in what I work on so I can avoid costly mistakes. Do you ever do things like that? Cute comment about your sewing machine. Thanks
Hi Louise, I've never done that but its such a good idea because I often make little changes to patterns and I suspect I'd forget when I come back to make the pattern again.
Wow you’ve been busy! I’m not surprised you’re behind on your temperature quilt. I have to agree something like that is easier to do in small batches rather than one a day. You might still get to use the hot colours, the summer isn’t over yet. Is it your fault we’re having a bad summer because you really wanted to use those hot colours? (Just kidding) 😉😂 I love the mini houses, they are so cute and the colours are lovely. Those zips are gorgeous the floral one has a very Cath Kidston vibe to it. Rainbow fabrics has some fabulous fabrics at amazing prices.
Nice job on your zipper pouch. Lovely bag, duffle I am guessing. I could use it in two weeks. I enjoy seeing your projects. OMG the crossbody is just fantastic!

I'm glad to have inspired you 💕💕
Where can I buy beautiful liberty fabrics in UK. I live in Florida US. Thank you
Hello Rachel. I just discovered your TH-cam Channel and want to share how much I am enjoying learning from you. You are absolutely lovely and inspiring. Thank you!
You are so welcome! Welcome to the channel 💕
You have a very pleasant demeanor, making it easy to watch the videos. And for your age you are so very talented a knowledgeable and skilled sewer.
Lots of fun! I love your colour and print choices. And your cheery smiles as you enthusiastically tell us of your sewing adventures. Very inspiring! Thank you for reminding us to make time for the joy of quilting!

I am with you on the paper subject. Of keeping them on until sewn together. Looks stunning❤ Can’t wait to see the finished quilt.

Hi Jean, how precious! I'm sure Bella will treasure the quilt for many years and she will have fun counting all 100 blocks. Happy stitching!
I loved your “naughty corner” comment, I have a couple of projects to put in the naughty corner.
me too! lol
I’m guilty also 🧵
I love that name. Better than my basket of “small wrecks to be repaired.” Lol. I think i will adopt that! Sometimes projects on hold in the “naughty corner” can be quite fun as warm up exercises to get creative with, when we haven’t been sewing much, to kind of get back into the swing of things.
My goodness, those houses are beautiful! That first bag with the little girls on it is just adorable, the fabric just so so cute!
Love your duffle bag. Just finished that one too. And your mini one is soooo cute❤
WOW - you really have been a busy girl!! I love all the things you shared - & everything looks so professionally done! Good Job, Rachel! You should be very proud of yourself!👏👏👏👏👏

I think your bags are adorable ❤

Rachel, the best friend bag was fabulous! I just sewed my 1st zipper ever. I've done 3 now. I'm giving them all as gifts. I can't wait to see Hannah the hedgehog. Have a wonderful week.
Hi Rachel you are such a creative lady, I love all your makes and purchases. I love your channel ❤❤
Thank you so much!
Everything is beautiful. Love those different zippers.
Thank you so much! Yeah I couldn't resist the zippers... what to make with them 🤣
I’ve been wanting to make one of these rugs for ages and have all the supplies, may have to change the jelly roll as it doesn’t match the decor now, so your video was a great incentive to actually get round to making it. Hopefully mine will turn out as good as your looks.💕
I really enjoyed looking at all of your 'makes' and purchases. I hope to bump into you at the Festival of Quilts x
I hope so too!

Rachel, you are a creative power house! I enjoyed seeing all your projects! All very I aspirational! I need to make a bag! ❤
That retro French fabric would make a fab apron!
You are lovely ❤ very inspiring 🤩
Really beautiful projects

beautiful projects you have created.. I always feel tempted to try but haven't tried..😊
All your projects are so cute . Love them all.😊
Adorable micro duffle bag, Rachel!
Might be fun to make matching pillowcases for you and your sister when you have sewing getaways out of the “Best Friend” fabric.
That would be a funny prank because I think she is allergic to pink lol!
@@stitchwithrachel 😂😂😂
Love, love, love the Liberty hexagons. Then the house blocks. They would look nice together. Houses in the middle surrounded by the hexagons. ❤
Hi Rachel love your podcast ❤️ and all your bags are so Georges and unique I loved 😍
Thank you so much and welcome to the channel xx
Great video! Thanks so much for sharing the pattern for the crossbody bag. My 10 year old granddaughter mentioned to me yesterday that she wants to make a crossbody bag with me and that pattern looks perfect. Aww that will be a lovely project to make with her, I suspect she will be desginer and supervisor whilst you work on the production line... have fun!!
Lovely bumper episode showing amazing makes. All of your work is absolutely beautiful.
Keep feeding that bag addiction. Love to see all of your projects. I leave your channel so inspired. Thank you
Thank you! Will do!
Bags perplex me - partly because some of the patterns are awful. I’ve had to redo most of them so that I can make a bag without so much swearing 😅
I love your content and really hope your dream can come true and you can go full time. Can’t wait to see your hedgehog doll!
Thank you so much! 💕
You are amazing!😊
Thank you! 😃
Lovely projects Rachel! You are a busy gal😊

Thank you so much! I'll have a look at sewing the zips on the outside, it would be nice to see the zips!
I love your videos.
Thanks!
I enjoy your videos and quite often learn a thing or two. I hope you get to realize your dream and continue quilting. Jane
Thank you very much Jane. I truly appreciate your support 💕
Wow! You HAVE been busy. Everything looks amazing!! ❤❤
You amaze me with your sewing. Love love love your mimi top with chap stick. I also love your cross body tote.
Rachel, how do you get all these beautiful things completed. You are a joy to watch, and I hope you realise your dream.
I don't have a life lol!.. I just do small amounts each day and the time seems to add up. Thank you so much for your wishes xx
Yes! The Lilly Rose stand at the Festival of Quilts was magical. I'm not quite ready for that detail of sewing, but when I am ---- I can't wait!
Love the cute bags and epp! ❤🎉
I love your videos Rachel, keep going .I too am going to the festival of quilts with my daughter.❤😊
The Knot and Thread Duffel is the best!!! Try using your scraps and making the patch work version with the trolley sleeve ❤❤❤
I'll certainly be making a patchwork version next!

Luv the big bag. I am afraid to start one
You are wonderful I do hope you can reach your Dreams soon…💕

Hi Rachel,
I have just discovered your channel, and I love it! You are so sweet and creative! I wish we were neighbors!
I love all what you made and making great video
Boy!!
You are busier than a one armed paper hanger😂😂
Enjoy our chats
Jan from Jacksonville Florida
Rachel, your mini mini tote is the cutest!! 💞
Lovely projects! If I might stumble across you at the Festival of quilts next week I hope it would be ok to say hi (if my little introverted self might find the courage 😂).
Have a wonderful week till then.
Absolutely, I'd love that.. even if it's a smile and wave, whatever you are comfortable with. I hope you have a great time at the FOQ 💕
I love your bags! Your sock is so cute! You might want to consider doing a short row heel like the shadow wrap heel, otherwise a heel flap and gusset will mess with your micro stripes. ❤
Thanks for the tips! I'm hoping I'll have enough of the contrast mini to do a different colour heal so I won't need to worry about the stripes
(Just kidding) 😉😂
I love the mini houses, they are so cute and the colours are lovely. Those zips are gorgeous the floral one has a very Cath Kidston vibe to it. Rainbow fabrics has some fabulous fabrics at amazing prices.
Great work, Rachel!
Your projects are precious 🎉
Thank you ❤️❤️
You make some beautiful things, my 1st visit to for this year, going Thursday x
This was so fun!! Thank you!!
Nice job on your zipper pouch. Lovely bag, duffle I am guessing. I could use it in two weeks. I enjoy seeing your projects. OMG the crossbody is just fantastic!
Thank you so much! The cross body bag is so nice to wear, feels like a great sense of achievement 💖
i only remove the papers in the seam allowance. you can still match up...just less bulk
I’m thinking about the wavy zipper. Maybe the zipper needs to be sewn on the grain where there’s no stretch as opposed to the width where there’s stretch. So, the fabric pieces where the zipper will be installed, try cutting the pieces on the grain.
@jojorey6886 that's a very good point, one of my wavy zips was on a patchwork edge so maybe I had stretched it. I'll keep it in mind, thank you!
Love your fabrics
Your work is lovely Rachel, thank you for sharing. I can see you have been very busy. Wish I could be as clever. Gosh your big bag is big hehe. I hate putting zips in. How do you think is the best way to become very confident in sewing, I am fairly new at this. I get by but want to become so much more able and my work to be much more of a higher standard.
Great job!😊
Beautiful bags
