From first appearing in the first Thor movie not doing much, to having his own series more than a decade later, Clint Barton deserves respect for being a guy with a bow and arrows.

After doing this analysis I came to appreciate the character a lot more. It's a shame he was relegated to second fiddle within his own MCU show. I would've preferred a deep dive into his time as Ronin.

Finally a video to know the fighting style of one of the most underrated under appreciated character that has actually proven to be too cool without superpowers. Hawkeye is actually a better superhero since he is a highly skilled and trained, which I am so glad his mini series allows to dig explore his character arc. Really can’t wait for the channel’s newest video of how many fighting styles falcon knows since he has a unique fighting style with his wings.

I agree with you man I liked Hawkeye for years he's always underrated and undervalued he's been the leader of the West Coast Avengers in the comics he's even been trained in hand-to-hand combat by Captain America even shang-chi has giving him props for his hand to hand combat
Yeah, both him and captain america are my favorite MCU characters.
In terms of fighting style, I find Clint to be one of the coolest. Most of the heavily superpowered Avengers can deal with enemies in one blow or head-on. Hawkeye relies on his skills since he has no superpowers. This makes his fight scenes very unique and creative in the tv show. Great video! They really stuffed up the opportunity to have Clint facing Kingpin in that 1st season of Hawkeye. Hope we have another chance to see that if they make a season 2.

Hawkeye is my favourite Avenger. He is like the pinnacle of normal human combat skill, along with Black Widow. His greatness is often being ignored because of his super-powered colleagues. But if you think about it, his talents makes him a badass. Even RDJ likes to play character

He surely has firearms training too. He makes some use of pistols in Avengers 1 and Age of Ultron. He had a whole wall of guns to pick from during his intro in Thor at the SHIELD facility.
I would guess that all SHIELD field agents are trained at least as rigorously as the FBI.
No doubt he does, but it isn't part of his fighting style. He doesn't pick up a gun and start shooting people, he uses his bow and arrow 90% of the time and punches people 10% of the time haha. Black Widow has much more of a focus on her handguns if you'd like to see more about that, I've already analyzed her, she's on the playlist in the description!

Hawkeye, the hidden MVP of the Avengers. The scoreboard is pretty clear: When he is on your team, your chances of success are significantly higher.

Liked the video! Has to be one of my favorites as I’m much a Japanese/Chinese/Asian style of martial artist. I recently posted a request of how many styles fighting Faith Conners know in the Mirrors Edge franchise, to which you replied it was mostly karate. It really reignited my passion for the martial arts of the series. As such, I’ve seen karate, parkour, judo, boxing, Krav Maga, combat shooting (from the first game) as well as taekwondo. Sorry, I’m rambling. I just love your channel! Your Shang Chi video my favorite, with this a close second!

Can you do Trevor Belmont from Netflix's Castlevania? I finally finished it and just wow highly recommend!
I thought you'd also give him Jojutsu since in Civil War his make shift staff less was shorter then 6ft. Bo's are normally 6ft plus while Jo's are 3 to 5ft. Especially since Jojutsu training is different then Kenjutsu (my Jujutsu dojo also teaches Jodo I'm so lucky!)
I didn't watch the series glad that they addressed his hearing issues as he has those in the comics. Speaking of comics he wasn't an original Avenger in the comics but an original MCU Avenger.
Yeah, original MCU Avenger, wouldn't be talking about the comics. Have not seen that series yet, but since it's 2D animation I can't analyze it as the animation is too inconsistent (frames are skipped, intentionally blurred)

How do you know so much about fighting styles? I assume research and experience in fighting. Are there any websites or books you'd recommend someone check out if they wanted to know as much about fighting as you?
Yep! The good old experience and research combo. In terms of books there are a couple ones out there that are very good, just try to stay with books that were written by actual practitioners in the style.

I’d be interested in a video on Spike from Buffy the Vampire slayer( maybe the others too but spikes the one I’m most interested in.) the choreography hasn’t aged the best but during its time it was some of the best in western television.)
It's funny 'cuz I was just thinking about him analyzing either Buffy or Faith. But of course, trawling through a long series to find info on specific fighting styles is way more work than doing it for a film or three. But yeah, I'd love to see Spike's style analyzed, and maybe see how it differs from Buffy's.

Have you considered a video on Buffy the Vampire Slayer Characters and a fight scene breakdowns from that? Spike I confess is the character I most want a breakdown on, but Buffy, Angel, Giles and Faith are all great candidates as well!

Hey, i was wondering what you think about the “Mexican martial art” of Xilam, I’ve been interested but idk if it’s just a mix of other martial arts or if it really is native to Mexico.
