  • REPUBLICAN candidate RISKS IT ALL: Goes into CHI-TOWN and does THIS!
This political candidate is going where most politicians are unwilling to go.
This week, I'm giving my reaction to GOP Presidential candidate, Vivek Ramaswamy's recent visit to south side Chicago to spread his campaign message.
I'll explain why his decision to go down there is so important.
That's not all. I'll also be giving my reaction to Ramaswamy's recent appearance on The Breakfast Club show and his showdown with one of its hosts, Tezlyn Figaro. You DON'T WANT to miss this episode.

and it makes me mad bc he's right and it makes me want to jump ship. then i remember 17 of the poorest 20 states in the country are red states and a majority of the poorest 100 counties are republican. so the GOP keep doing the whole "what have democrats done for you?" thing and it's a fair question but then don't have receipts on improving the lives of poor whites in their district. if they ain't doing much for them, they certainly ain't gone do much for us.

Undoubtedly, this guy is very smart and quick on his toes with any sort of question hurled at him, including insulting his youth, race, family background and what have you. He already has 65,000 donors of small amounts. He is prepared to go all the way on his own dime. Did you notice that he is willing to join absolutely anyone who invites him for a podcast or an interview? He is getting the kind of exposure to the public that would otherwise require millions and millions of $ by way of advertisements. I can bet he won't even have a PAC or a Super PAC kind of illegal donations going for him because he is not going to need it. Regardless of the fact that he may or may not get support from the bipartisan congress or the senate there are a number of acts that he can perform which would be in his power by way of issuing executive orders. He is going to slaughter the other candidates in the debates. Just watch.

Vivek is not just a business man, but also a politician, and he knows how to play the audience. And of course he is confident, as he has had all the advantage of an elitist upbringing. He is a first generation American born of college educated Indian Brahmin parents. He has had the best education that they could afford, and the opportunity of contacts that his Brahmin Caste could give him. He or he and his parents probably also gained benefit from Affirmative Action, due to their minority status, even though he personally is against it.

    • @pmshah1946

@@extinction_event_5217 You really are something. Apparently you have very short attention span or comprehension issues. He mentioned that he went to a back majority school for the first 8 years. Nothing elitist about it. FYI I too have lived in US for many years in the 70s and 80s. Let me tell you that you will as good as never find a single mother UNLESS the father died due to some mishap. We also DO NOT avail any special benefits or even apply for them. You can bet your ass that not he nor his parents were beneficiaries of Affirmative Action. What we do is place very high priority on education. That is something nobody can take away from you. So don't go assuming anything. You also missed a point that he made. That was even if a black man gets a job purely on his qualification and abilities, fingers will still be pointed at him by those white persons who were rejected on the same grounds. Believe me you have to clean the dirt from your fogged glasses and not the mirror when your reflected face appears dirty. Grow up.

I agreed with a lot of his positions (not all, of course- there is no one in the world who you will agree with 100%). What I really appreciated, though, was there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t touch. So many politicians get mealy-mouthed about controversial subjects, but he wasn’t afraid to take a firm stand and explain his position fully. I don’t know how viable some of his ideas will be, although I liked a lot of them, but at least I know where he actually stands. I'm old enough now to have been let down by politicians from both major political parties. When you understand the game, then things begin to make more sense. Every politician will tell you what they think you want to hear. They'll make promises to get your vote, then walk away from you once they're in office. That is, until the next election cycle comes around. Politicians make empty promises. This is a rule, not the exception. What I've learned is to vote with the one who is most transparent, because he's less likely to make promises he can't fulfill. No candidate thus far has been as honest and transparent as Vivek. This man has been making the rounds, willing to talk to ANYONE. This is a grassroots movement I can get behind. Things can change, but right now he has my vote.

RFK Jr has been honest to a fault it actually hurt his approval rate. If that’s not honest I don’t know what is. Trump already tried to shut down the department of education and failed despite hiring and firing so many people. I don’t think Ramaswamy is being honest about his ability to make that happen. I also don’t like this idea that people should pass a civics class before voting. That’s going to infringe on our rights to vote and civics class or not, people are going to have an agenda so that doesn’t seem to be a sensible solution. I Can undertake immigrants having to take it but not our citizens.

I wish we were at a point in time where, we could just respectfully agree to disagree. Now if you don't agree with somebody, you're called everything but a Child of God. You're a Racist, Homophobic, Transphobic, Sexist, Misogynistic, etc. If you don't agree with somebody, that's fine. That's not the issue. The issue is when you Viciously attack them for their own personal beliefs. The Breakfast Club were too in toned with their emotions & how they felt about him personally, rather than at least trying to understand him & where he's coming from. They just used ''Racism'' & ''Oppression'' as there Number 1 argument instead of being logically. @alcrawford4160 I'll say that to anyone. IDGAF about color and what I said has nothing to do with it. I'm Native American and a woman so quite a few of my ancestors couldn't vote either for a time. Also, what you're describing was in the south, in the north, they could vote. I never said someone shouldn't have the right to vote, I said they should take it more seriously and treat it as a responsibility and a privilege. I said 'privilege' because people tend to appreciate and treat privileges with more seriousness than they do rights, for one. For two, there are places still today where people don't get a vote, yet here in the US so many voters just go vote for whoever has the right letter by their name and do no further research or considering beyond that. They don't vote in primaries or get involved to research policies. Then they show up and vote in the exact same stuff they've spent the last cycle bitching about because they didn't bother to really look into it.
Treating voting as JUST a right, even though it is a right we have, but treating it as simply a right, rather than one of the most important responsibilities citizens have, is part of that problem.
So I'll say again, it has nothing to do with skin color, you and a couple others are the ones determined to view it that way.

This interviewer on the breakfast club needs to read the history of this country with a microscope in her hands to see how many different ethnic groups built America with their sweat and blood. Here's my answer to Tezlyn the intereviewer, Yes, black Americans played a big part, so did the Chinese, the Irish, Italians, Jews, Latinos and many others who came here to build their dreams, but also build America. By the way Ramaswamy's ancesters did the same as well. Most Indians who migrated from India came here with higher education, got more educated here to teach, practice medicine, build infrastructure. Look around universities, hospitals, local politics, law professions, buisnesses etc. Recent emigration of IT professionals are great examples to build big corporations, local companies so they can perform in excellence. They all have contributed to build this great nation which has been known as the MELTING POT throughout the world. Let's get that straight.
On the other note, Tezlyn needs interview skills and some basic understanding, since she likes to ask basic questions. Respect the interviewee is one of them. Relevance of the question to the nature of the interview is second. When someone goes to apply for a job, a skilled interviewer will not ask the applicant to juxtapose an elementary school participation to the job he/she is applying unless the applicant wants to bring some past childhood experience into the conversation. The experiences that are counted as relevant are from the last 10 working years. A presedential nominee means application for the job to be elected as the president of the United States.

That Breakfast Club interview was so insulting. It was the most cringe interview ever - the moment she said she was being as respectful as possible was the moment you knew she was lying and was a pathetic individual. How VR handles himself in these interviews has got my vote for him. He holds principles, whether you agree with him or not - and he sticks with it. He isn't playing games to trick people. That level of honesty is rare in politics.

The other politicians go where their fundraisers want them to. Vivek Ramaswamy is funding his own campaign, he decides where he wants to go. That's my take on this. Articulate, speaks with convictions, no sugar coating. How he will run his governments is on the table for everyone to see. Vote him to see major changes or Vote him out to stay pretty much where we are is upto us plus how the votes will be counted. There are too many skins in the game is my understanding since 2016 election.

The fact that she pops off saying she's a veteran of the US Air Force, says a lot where the conversation's gonna go. You're not special sweetie. I'm also a veteran of the US Army, was in combat in Baghdad, Iraq from 04 to 05, but I don't lord it over anyone on any subject being talked about. This type of mindset always grinds my gears when any of my vet brethren try to put out there as though it's supposed to give you legit points or give you some advantage. Just cause you've served in the Armed Forces, doesn't make you Jesus Christ ok? All you did was a job that you willingly raised your right hand for and committed to it in the best of your ability. Point blank and period. Stop treating your service as though you are owed something in return by the people you "supposedly" defended. Also, a résumé of a person's past jobs and accomplishments doesn't always make them what they are at their present state.
I apologize for the rant above even though this video was about Vivek. But damn, veteran's and even active duty people like her that do this just really make me shake my head in embarrassment. I think I'm gonna keep a close eye on Mr. Ramaswamy some more since this and a few more vids on him seem to have popped up on my news feeds. He seems cool to me.
