Meh tbh Arkham knight had great gameplay moments in terms of combat, open world and visuals but other than that everything is lazy..no boss fights, lazy dialogue (Conroy is old and it shows except in some of the beginning sequences),overused batmobile ( especially in the Riddler challenges and most of the open world challenges required it) and this game didn't even allow the player to switch characters like city did with Catwoman. It's not bad but it could have been way better than what we have got..oh and show me the dumbasses that didn't know who Arkham knight was from the opening fight. Lazy
I actually liked Arkham Knight's atmosphere more than the others. I mean Gotham City in the game is huge. But everything else, I agree. Arkham City had a better story & Arkham Origins had better boss fights.
Dan Truong i almost wanted to give Knight Better story too if it wasn't for the disappointment of Arkham Knight reveal and mysterious disappearance at the end of the game.. just slightly mildly les better than City's story
One major detraction I have is the serious lack of challenge maps, compared to Arkham City. I'd like to be able to use the seven other playable characters in more than just their fifteen minute campaigns.
This game was so fun. And one of the reasons for that was the way they handled all the side missions. You press one button and it brings up literally every mission in the game for you to see. It had percentages of everything and that just made it so fun to get them all done and 100% it.
1: Arkham Knight (I've literally played the story 3 times and I'm still not tired of it.) 2: Arkham City (The story overall is awesome and I love that they actually killed the Joker) 3: Arkham Origins (The boss fights are awesome and I love the Christmas setting) 4: Arkham Asylum (Its last on my list but still an amazing game. Can easily pass as a horror game in some ways if I'm being honest)
I think the story for Arkham Knight wasn’t as great, and the Batmobile was overused, but I still love it. It’s so nostalgic. I still remember when this game launched.
Gabriel is kinda right. You didn't really understand his comment Mark. I don't want to spoil the ending for anyone reading this but the endings are very similar.
Ok my ranking for the Arkham Games 1. City 2. Knight 3. Asylum 4. Origins (still good though) And for any who ask, yes I loved using the Batmobile. Why wouldn't I? It's only the car we've been wanting to drive since..... forever. Tank battles completely worth it
jaquan541 Really, I liked the Perfect Crime mission, the Man-Bat one, taking out those spotlights (no Deathstroke) and the Riddler missions. I mean it was well worth it to punch him in the face afterwards
I like city the most and then i would keep switching knight and asylum for 2nd place and i like origins the least. ( I still think origins is like a 7.5 or 8 out of 10 though) Btw if i had to say something bad about knight was the deathstroke and hush side mission. I still think knight is like a 9.5 though
I actually love the batmobile. To me I found it extremely easy to maneuver. But the riddler races fuck that. The camera changed and threw me off. I had to drive in first person view mode.
I think they put in the Batmobile Riddler Challenges to add variety to using it. Y'know, they didn't want to hype it like the Batwing was hyped for Origins only to find out it'll be used for Fast Travel. I love the fact that the studio didn't make it a pointless addition to the game though.
Arkham Origins (best feel) Arkham Knight (best graphics) Arkham City (best story) Arkham Asylum (best atmosphere) I love all four, but there's just something about Origins that made me love it so much. Maybe because it takes place during Christmas and it's always heavily snowing
1. Batman Arkham Asylum : absolute masterpiece 2. Batman Arkham Knight: a great conclusion 3. Batman Arkham City: great game with an awesome climax 4. Batman Arkham Origins: how it all began
Batman Arkham Asylum had the atmosphere, the paranormal stuff and the story. Batman Arkham City was sandbox, had tge best fights, had many villains and it had the perfect ending. Batman Arkham Origins had...... Deathstroke Batman Arkham Knight had the graphics, the Batmobile, bigger sandbox, and the conclusion.
MrBeef - Gaming & Sports u did it wrong way with using less signs. I agree City far better game, Asylum would be second spot for me then third game, just Asylum had great story, boss fights, i loved more closed in environment, felt so stealthy like the batman.
I’ve completed this game and got most of the achievements and I’m not trying to get the rest of them but I am playing it again because it’s amazing and a lot of fun to play through. It’s very awesome how dark it is and the writing and direction is flawless. Probably one of the best trilogy games ever.
My problems with the game is that there are waaaay too many tanks battles. I especially hated when I fought the Arkham Knight in his tank and in his giant drill. Plus I knew it was Jason the second I heard him talk, which sucked because I was hoping for a huge and shocking reveal.
I can't rank the trilogy, but Origins was defiantly the weak point. It was basically a reskinned Arkham City with a disjointed timeline. I think of it as a really big DLC for Arkham City.
***** I know what you mean. Rocksteady really polishes their games and I don't think WB did. I was really surprised that the PC version is haven't so many problems given RS track record.
***** The controls for origin doesn't seems to work. I remember I have to spam Y many times in order to assure that I will actually counter an attack.. Failing to press more than once will result in me not countering at all.. I just don't know why it's that bad
King91OM exactly what I was thinking. I could never keep a flow like in City. In City I could dominate everybody, but in origins I was always getting messed up no matter how good my timing was
***** Couldn't agree more.. City had a great control respond while origins is just messed up.. What's worst is that you have to face like 20 soldiers at a time.. Failing that and you can't avenge yourself after that.. The group of soldiers/thugs would just disappear after reloading (only sometimes they remain where they are)
The game was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!! - over usage of the Batmobile - no boss battles, just tank battles - the Arkham knight was a disappointing villain, he isn't a new character, his identity was just meh obvious. - CHALLENGE MAPS mode is gone. Just see rubbish AR challenges. - you can't play as Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman or any of the playable characters in actual challenge maps/ AR. - They say is the ultimate batman experience, then WHERE IS THE BATCAVE? (first Arkham game with no Batcave, lame!) - they made it seem like all the other villains will play a huge role trying to take down the bat, but nope, they're just side missions and not really good ones. (they disgraced deathstroke) - no martial artist type enemies, which origins had. It was even advertised in the ace chemicals trailer, but they removed it in the final game, - people complained about joker stealing the lime light in origins. Well rocksteady does the same thing in this, people complaining now. I had more fun with Arkham Origins then I did with this sad disappointment. Arkham City is the best of course.
Madez Totally agree. Even ignoring the intrusive and Batmobile stuff, the game was massively disappointing, meeting every positive with at least two giant negatives (some of which you've outlined above). But *with* the Batmobile stuff? Sucks all that trademark fun from the other games--including the underrated Origins--right out. (Why am I not roaming around beating up fools? Oh, because they're protected by an automated missile-launcher.) You don't change a formula that works...by which I mean you don't split your protagonist time between the goddamn *Batman* and a car. Worst game of the series, bar none--and, worse, a generally bad game.
MattyFizzle04 It didn't work because the overall mystery revolving around the game that RS overhyped sucked. Oh and they lied so yeah :/ Lying so people will buy your game is never okay.
TrolinGxTrag3dY if you didn't understand the true ending here's the deal: Batman fakes his death to protect his friends (knowing that all the criminals would attack them. And then he uses Scarecrow's toxin to become a new a "worse" hero. Cause u know, Batman got unmasked. A new hero to surpass Batman, the "fair" hero. Batman became more radical, that's it.
I admit i kinda cried at the end with The Joker. You'll know what I'm talking about people i don't wanna spoil the game for those who haven't played it.
Omen Well he is dead, dead as a door nail. He is used as a hallucination from both the fear gas and the joker blood from the previous game. It actually turns out to be really cool and funny at times!
I personally think that Rocksteady should create a Batman Beyond game. I'm not saying it has to be a franchise. But playing as Terry Mccginnis and flying around a futuristic Gothom would be something freshly new considering how there hasn't been a Batman Beyond game yet (Too my knowledge). I think Rocksteady could pull it off, if they aren't in the process of doing something else. Just a thought.
Gameplay wise my list is 1:Arkham KNight 2:Arkham City 3:Arkham Asylum 4:Arkham Origins but if I am basing it off story 1:Arkham Knight 2:Arkham Origins 3:Arkham Asylum 4:Arkham City In my opinion Origins had a wonderful ambiance to it and the handling of the Joker was really well done, my issue with the story of City is that it did not fit some of the characters motivations in parts. They tried to have too many twists I think.
Brent Z all this games are shit ...its not batman ..its a fucking child game ..made for childs ..super repetetive ..sorry ..i like batman and i want to play a serious batman game ..no one that he is a super heroe ¬¬
yeah lol, when nvidia gameworks is turned on it uses dx10..you should download it and give it a try with the config files ..make sure gameworks is turned on in the config files and launch it :p
***** Yeah, it's actually kind of stunning that for consoles it's one of the best games of the year, but for PC it's one of the worst. Actually amazing that WB pulled that off with the same game when you think about it.
Shadow Knight - Road to 100k subs nah sorry as you know I just had the elitebook and Im keeping that intact to sell Specs are gtx 960 i5 4690k 3.5 ghz and an msi gaming motherboard
Batman Have fun with it. Don't pay attention to the negatives in the game. This is a Batman game, and it's really good. Few years back we didn't have any good superhero games.
I heard when they were discussing the game before development the original title was to be: BATMAN: ARKHAM NIGHTMARE I prefer that title better. It's not named after a character who's not so great and it's names after the plot and the thing you have to stop
My biggest problem with the Batmobile in Arkham Knight was that it took away some boss fights that should have been hand-to-hand because of the character you were fighting. Like, the Knight is a very good fighter, so why did we only really get to fight him in the Batmobile. And the leader of the militia (not saying who because spoilers) is also a good fighter. Hell, I don't think he's ever used a tank in the comics, but his boss fight was also a Batmobile fight. That said, I did still enjoy it, though it did feel overused a bit, but it was very fun and enjoyable.
I loved playing this game so much, I've never spent 7+ hours multiple times in one sitting playing a game, but with this game time flew by! Everyone should get it!
I loved this game series so much. I really hate that it had to end with this game, but seriously, it's a great game to end on. I was with a few friends about two days ago, and we ended up talking about this game for a while. One of my friends brought up the point that since Rocksteady is done with their Batman games, he wondered if they were going to make any more DC superhero video games - to which we took to meaning "which superhero would be more fun to play as in a video game. Two of us mentioned how cool it could be to have a Superman video game, but others mentioned how overpowered and inevitably boring that would be. One other mentioned Nightwing, as it could be done almost identically to the Arkham games, which seemed like a good idea. Then I mentioned how much I would love to see a Green Arrow video game. Due to the popularity of the Arrow TV show, it would make sense for Rocksteady to help expand on an already great hero name such as the Green Arrow. Think about it: the combat can be very similar to the Arkham games in terms of how fun and fast-paced it is, but with the added fighting mechanic of shooting arrows. The Green Arrow was always known in the comics to have various different types of arrows which he utilized to take down his enemies, to which Rocksteady can expand upon by bringing back the Utility Belt function from the Arkham series. Call me crazy, but words cannot express how much I would love for Rocksteady to make a Green Arrow game
my ranking from worst to first (Their all great tho) 4. Arkham Asylum - I put this here cus i felt like it was the weakest, it had the worst fighting mechanincs, worst graphics of the arkham games, but it had a good story. 3. Arkham City - I put this here, because i loved how they introduced exploring gotham, but it was way too small, i felt like i would fly past a certain point, 2 minutes later i would loop back to the same place. I loved the story, and how the suit gets destroyed 2, Arkham origins - I put this here because i love this game all round. I loved the cinematic cutscenes, the story and open world. I liked the voice actors as well. i put it here because, i felt some places were sloppy storytelling 1.Arkham knight - I put this number one, because i loved everything about the game. The detail in th open world, the story, the side missions, and the freaking batmobile was great. My only negatives were the batmobile is relied on to much for fighting, it should only have been used for a few battles, and getting from one point to another.
Talking about the growing madness of Batman, i can't give it enough praises. One example is when you are looking at the street advertisement, sometimes you see a really bad guy (not spoiling) and when you turn around and see that same ad, you see it changed! Nothing can beat that feeling of getting crazy.
I actually played it on my PC and it was pretty much flawless. Anyway, here's my Arkham Games ranking: 1. Arkham Asylum 2. Knight and City (tie) 3. Origins 4. Origins Blackgate
impressed to discover another adult who is a LoK fan. definitely one of the most intelligent and compelling storylines in a video game series. your impeccable taste has earned you a new sub. well done.
Mizzah Tee Happy Belated Birthday. Yes I think the irony of this whole situation is the batmobile. The Wii U can't handle the Batmobile lol. Yeah how's that working out for you. I Jamie Butterworth was like what's the point of it when he can glide across the whole game lol.
The Knight’s true identity seemed obvious to me for the majority of the game. I didn’t like the Panessa Studios scenes that seemed to shove the Arkham Knight’s identity in front of your face and ask if you understood yet. It took all of the remaining suspicions I had left and obliterated them.
This game seems to have mixed opinions since AngryJoe and Gamespot said this game is not very good even though Jeremy and Chris Stuckman said the opposite.
I have no idea why angry Joe rated this game so low I love it if you want a great batman story that is shocking and takes frequent twists and turns get it.
True, but I think people that did not like this game is because it is 50% drones and 50% on foot combat. I mean if you are going to have The Batmobile in a batman game might as well put it to some dirty work. It would be kind of pointless to have the Batmobile if you are just going to drive it one place to the other.
RageGamerAustin it would be fine if it didnt feel forced. most of the ace mission is getting the tank from point a to point b by solving puzzles. also, why would the riddle make race tracks all of a sudden when the batmobile has been around since asylum.
Asylum: worth full price. City: awesometacular. Origins: full price. Knight: full price but close to awesometacular if not for the bat mobile and the PC port.
best review i've seen for this. subscribed. nice to see someone who appreciates rocksteady and batman do a review for this. even tho i knew who the arkham knight was almost as soon as i first saw him, i still love that they did that.
Arkham Knight was great but the overuse of the tank, the shitty boss battles, and the OBVIOUS Arkham Knight reveal make it behind Arkham Origins and the best of the series ( IMO) Arkham City
1. Knight (best gameplay) 2. Origins (great story and love the idea of the 8 assassins) 3. City (best story) 4. Asylum (a great game, just a bit too short)
Spoiler alert: The game was perfect, and still is a great game. But I just don't like the ending. Because They said this is the last Arkham game so why leave us with a cliffhanger showing a new Batman? Now everyone wants to know who the new batman is. The way they should've ended it- when the family is walking down the ally and Jim Gordon says "who will the criminals fear now that batman is dead" it should've showed the husband protect his family by beating up the crooks then showed a montage of normal citizens fighting back/standing up for themselves (similar to the Be the Batman commercial) A deeper meaning ,that Batman isn't dead. He lives within all of us. Perfect Ending !
Terrence Washington Perhaps a DLC that will adress what exactly happened after Arkham Knight, maybe some montage training for Wayne to become something else for Gotham. Something like that.
I keep hearing different explanations Some say it's Azriel, he came back after hearing of batmans death. Some say it's still Bruce, he faked his own death so he can batman full time with no distractions. And uses fear toxin on his enemies Some say it's a robot, that Gordon and gcpd are using android Batmans all over Gotham But the truth is, nobody knows for sure. And that's what I didn't like. This is the last Arkham game it should have a definitive ending not a cliffhanger
You sir unexpectedly gave the truest review of this game. I just finished it and as soon as i was done i began to see reviews to see how others felt. Some were good (mostly because they are biased) and others were bad (experience on the pc). I even went to Angry joe because nine times out of ten i agree to his points and he hits them right on the money. But the way i felt about the game as a video game (because i am a batman fan) was not being said, until i saw this video. The story was phenomenal, the plot, the twists, and the reveals (arkham knight to me feels a bit subjective if you know his background well enough). Batman has to me the best arc in this story than all the other games. I love the fact that you stated that boss fights are not really need to be good (although the ones that were there needed to be improved on *cough occupy gotham*) the batmobile i cannot say more because you said it for me. This game though to me is more fun than the previous entries All in all i was immersed all the way through and was invested in this game 100%. Everything that leads up to the end of the main missions and the true ending felt as if i played the last season of batman the animated series.
gtactwit Well even though he did mention the cons. It didn't detract his love of the game enough to lower the score and how he values it. It was more of minor nitpicks. But not enough problems in it to make him bored enough for it to anger him.
UniversalChaos931 Yeah I get that. I just didn't expect him to give that rating based on what he said. But to be fair, it would be hard to buy Arkham Knight on bluray so he had little choice :P
gtactwit i think its because he was comparing it to the other games in the series which are some of the best games of all time, so even if it wasnt as good as city, as a game its still amazing (broken on pc tho)
I was dissapointed in this game. The story's endings were so unsatisfying. Also Jeremy you didnt mention there are no challenge maps and you cant play with the other characters
Casey Shenery the reason probably why there aren't any side characters in the main game is because there are people who don't want to play as them and just want to play as batman....so for those who want to play as them have to buy the dlc...I know that sucks....but we are getting challenge maps and side character stories as dlc
I hated how much it required you to use a batmobile, I was expecting a better fight with Arkham Knight, I was expecting better bosses in general (Arkham Origins had the best bosses imo). I was expecting a better ending, I hated the ending, I personally disagree with you, I kinda liked the game but it's not that great imo.
Jeremy, man, great channel you have here, great reviews. I subscribed recently and saw that you did a while ago reviews for Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy Vl, so I want to ask: Do you have in mind playing to review more games like those?, if you do I highly recommend playing the Fire Emblem series :), all the games have everything you loved from Chrono and Vl. Keep the great work!
*SPOILERS* I honestly thought this game was the weakest of the Arkham Trilogy and possibly even weaker than Origins... The bat-mobile would have been cool if it made a small appearance in a mission or two but I think overall it was a terrible addition. Every boss fight is underwhelming and most consisted of shooting waves of "drones" in the bat-mobile until a cut-scene is triggered in which batman punches the bad guy in the face. The dual-play feature was hyped up way too much as it hardly made any appearance in the game. The Arkham Knight's identity was so obvious and predictable that people nailed it months before the game was released. This made the big reveal yet another massively underwhelming moment. The Joker. I love the joker, he's my favourite villain of all time along with Black Mask. However, we've already had 3 Arkham games focusing almost solely on Batman's relationship with the joker... We didn't need another one. This game could've been an amazing opportunity to delve into Batman's relationships with his other adversaries but instead it turned into another joker fuck fest upon his reveal. All of the side missions were shitty, even though the developers promised they'd be more like branching stories akin to that of the main story just slightly shorter. They weren't. They were side missions. Deadshot. If you played the Deadshot side mission and know anything at all about the character you'll understand my disappointment. One punch. Need I say more? Finally, so many great characters were missing from the game... Bane, Killer Croc, Black Mask, Zsasz, Calendar Man, Scare-face... The list goes on.
Manny Manchester 1997 I accidentaly called Deathstroke Deadshot, my mistake. Also, that reminds me, Deadshot didn't make an appearance either (I don't think), neither did Solomon Grundy...
***** I can't be arsed. When you're talking in vague one sentence comments and giving no reasons whatsoever I really don't see this conversation going anywhere.
***** It's very underwhelming, it doesn't feel epic enough, the introduction to the game is horrible, the ending is also horrible. What is there to like?
Dick Grayson had a dispute with Batman Jason Todd died Tim Drake convinced Batman he needed Robin There was a 4th girl one for like 2 minutes And Damian Wayne is batman's son nailed it
Ever felt that you play a game and couldn't judge whether it's good or bad and watch jeremyjahns videos to get a sense of clarity? This is one of them for me, thanks jerry.
1. Arkham Asylum 2. Arkham City 3. Arkham Origins 4. Arkham Knight Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are among the best games ever made. no flaws. Origins had great side quests and a very well told story and good level design but a bad map. Knight had a good map but average side quests, a pretty poorly written and poorly told story also it has the worst level design in the entire series (it's really bad), it's no longer a stealth game at least not as much as the old games. the combat is great though. also it has a bad plot twist. SPOILERS!!!! In my opinion Ra's Al Ghul should have been the Arkham Knight. I mean there is some time between raas al guils death and the destruction of the Lazarus pit so he could have been revived. and of course he is mad at Batman because he blames him for Talia's death since he couldn't bring her back. it would also explain the ninjas the Arkham Knight has.
+Longshots well I personally like Arkham knight it is my second favorite Arkham game ( ARKHAM CITY IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST) but I see where your coming from and I respect your opinion but personally I like Arkham knight a lot
1. Arkham Knight (Realistic suit and very nice ending) 2. Arkham Origins (I always like an Origin story and Troy Baker does a hell of a Joker) 3. Arkham City (Nice plot and first open world) 4. Arkham Asylum (Overall a good game, didn't like the suit tho)

Arkham City 10/10
Arkham Origins 8/10
Arkham Knight 10/10
I slightly prefer Arkham Knight tho
Asylum deserves a 10/10 too. It’s my favorite out of these amazing games.
I think the story for Arkham Knight wasn’t as great, and the Batmobile was overused, but I still love it. It’s so nostalgic. I still remember when this game launched.
The death in the family scenes were so brutal and dark, I'm shocked you didn't talk more about that
Probably wanted to hold off on specific plot points for the spoiler talk.
Best part was having Conroy get to have another go at the "I am vengeance. I am the night. I am Batman!" line. Loved it.
You need to do a spoiler review for this!!
Aramis Hall No he doesn't, go watch his spoiler talk for the dark knight rises because it's literally the exact same ending
Gabriel Peraza Yeah you are completely wrong. Neither Bane, Talia, or Rah's are even in this game.
Gabriel is kinda right. You didn't really understand his comment Mark. I don't want to spoil the ending for anyone reading this but the endings are very similar.
I would also like to see a spoiler review
Aramis Hall Kudos
Ok my ranking for the Arkham Games
1. City
2. Knight
3. Asylum
4. Origins (still good though)
And for any who ask, yes I loved using the Batmobile. Why wouldn't I? It's only the car we've been wanting to drive since..... forever. Tank battles completely worth it
+jaquan541 Why should boss fights dictate a game being good or not?
jaquan541 Really, I liked the Perfect Crime mission, the Man-Bat one, taking out those spotlights (no Deathstroke) and the Riddler missions. I mean it was well worth it to punch him in the face afterwards
lowkey asylum is the worse cause you can’t glide and free roam
Ben Wasserman perfect crime was awesome
I like city the most and then i would keep switching knight and asylum for 2nd place and i like origins the least. ( I still think origins is like a 7.5 or 8 out of 10 though) Btw if i had to say something bad about knight was the deathstroke and hush side mission. I still think knight is like a 9.5 though
Way to much Batmobile for my tastes. Batmobile riddler challenges.. come the fuck on..
I actually love the batmobile. To me I found it extremely easy to maneuver. But the riddler races fuck that. The camera changed and threw me off. I had to drive in first person view mode.
AgentCell I loved it at first but it just became so monotonous later on in the game and ruined the Arkham Knight boss fight
I think they put in the Batmobile Riddler Challenges to add variety to using it. Y'know, they didn't want to hype it like the Batwing was hyped for Origins only to find out it'll be used for Fast Travel. I love the fact that the studio didn't make it a pointless addition to the game though.
AgentCell were you like "oh shit there is a first person mode?" Cause that shit surprised me during the race

Arkham Origins (best feel)
Arkham Knight (best graphics)
Arkham City (best story)
Arkham Asylum (best atmosphere)
I love all four, but there's just something about Origins that made me love it so much. Maybe because it takes place during Christmas and it's always heavily snowing
1. Batman Arkham Asylum : absolute masterpiece
2. Batman Arkham Knight: a great conclusion
3. Batman Arkham City: great game with an awesome climax
4. Batman Arkham Origins: how it all began
Venom snake I agree! Wish I didn't have to scroll so far to find someone that liked Asylum the best haha
Batman Arkham Asylum had the atmosphere, the paranormal stuff and the story.
Batman Arkham City was sandbox, had tge best fights, had many villains and it had the perfect ending.
Batman Arkham Origins had...... Deathstroke
Batman Arkham Knight had the graphics, the Batmobile, bigger sandbox, and the conclusion.
Arkham asylums atmosphere felt like it had a lot more depth than the others. The little tune that would play in the background is so nostalgic for me.
It was darker. That's why.
But in Origins he was a boss fight quite interesting and here it's a stupid ass tank.
Jeremy Jahns. The peoples reviewer. Thank you, Jeremy. Thank you.
3:41 I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't give a shit about the lack of bosses in this game
mine would go Arkham city>Arkham knight>Arkham asylum>Arkham origins definetly one of the best trilogies ever not counting origins
You did that the wrong way around if you are saying City is the best.
Steve stevenson yeah fool those are less than signs.
MrBeef - Gaming & Sports no, he means you used < when you should have used >.
oh my bad imma hold this L
MrBeef - Gaming & Sports u did it wrong way with using less signs. I agree City far better game, Asylum would be second spot for me then third game, just Asylum had great story, boss fights, i loved more closed in environment, felt so stealthy like the batman.
kinda surprised he gave this awesometacular considering how many gripes he seems to have
I’ve completed this game and got most of the achievements and I’m not trying to get the rest of them but I am playing it again because it’s amazing and a lot of fun to play through.
Dude spoilers!
It's a disappointing spoiler. Plus it's already scattered all over the comment section, so meh :P
Come on man...
MovieMan Ryan your fault, not his.
I figured Jason Todd and Knightwing01 said it too !
I can't rank the trilogy, but Origins was defiantly the weak point. It was basically a reskinned Arkham City with a disjointed timeline. I think of it as a really big DLC for Arkham City.
Tom Miller I also don't know why, but the combat in origins didn't feel the same as the others did. It felt off somehow.
The group of soldiers/thugs would just disappear after reloading (only sometimes they remain where they are)
1. Arkham Knight
2. Arkham City
3. Arkham Origins
4. Arkham Asylum
The game was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!
- over usage of the Batmobile
- no boss battles, just tank battles
- the Arkham knight was a disappointing villain, he isn't a new character, his identity was just meh obvious.
(first Arkham game with no Batcave, lame!)
- they made it seem like all the other villains will play a huge role trying to take down the bat, but nope, they're just side missions and not really good ones. (they disgraced deathstroke)
- no martial artist type enemies, which origins had. It was even advertised in the ace chemicals trailer, but they removed it in the final game,
- people complained about joker stealing the lime light in origins. Well rocksteady does the same thing in this, people complaining now.
I had more fun with Arkham Origins then I did with this sad disappointment. Arkham City is the best of course.
No one cares what you think bro lol.
is that supposed to make it better? something that was in all the other games is now beign sold separately as dlc. thats nonsense.
Madez LOL no martial artists? You clearly haven't played the game...
I love how all of your issues are superficial and only matter to your spoiled self
Arkham City: A+
Arkham Knight: A+
Arkham Knight DLC (as a whole): B+
Arkham Asylum: A
Arkham Origins: C-
Arkham Origins Cold, Cold Heart: B+
Arkham Origins Blackgate: B
Someone tell me who the Arkham Knight is. Please?
Jason Todd I see what you did there XD
You
Jason Todd Not a new and original character like what Rocksteady said he would be.
MattyFizzle04
lol the Arkham Knight original? He's Red Hood with a different costume.
MattyFizzle04
It didn't work because the overall mystery revolving around the game that RS overhyped sucked. Oh and they lied so yeah :/ Lying so people will buy your game is never okay.
Arkham city is the best
*opinions*
asylum*
Mine was Asylum too.
salman Batman and Robin on Super Nintendo is the best!
TrolinGxTrag3dY if you didn't understand the true ending here's the deal:
Batman fakes his death to protect his friends (knowing that all the criminals would attack them.
That whole sequence was amazing. So trippy and psychological.
Tici Toty Tony That ending made up for the whole jason todd plotpoint.
Omen Well he is dead, dead as a door nail. He is used as a hallucination from both the fear gas and the joker blood from the previous game. It actually turns out to be really cool and funny at times!
Omen yeah he's dead but in Arkham Knight he's a constant hallucination of Batman's mental state due to the fear gas.
***** yeah i was disappointed with the Arkham Knight revealed as
Spoilers
Jason Todd ( ͡° ʖ̯ ͡°)
I personally think that Rocksteady should create a Batman Beyond game. I'm not saying it has to be a franchise. But playing as Terry Mccginnis and flying around a futuristic Gothom would be something freshly new considering how there hasn't been a Batman Beyond game yet (Too my knowledge). I think Rocksteady could pull it off, if they aren't in the process of doing something else. Just a thought.
My favorite thing about this game were the boss fights. Oh wait...
They had some
@@linkheroofspiritsakatrains4812 not proper ones though
@@fortunelekoto6704 Yeah
if ben affleck adopted the arkham game series he'll overcome bale's batman
Definitely. and snyder already did that in bvs. affleck knows what to do. he wont screw it up.
the deadpool I don't think a batman that kills can be the best batman
Stone cold Steve austin he's already the best
Ben Affleck's Batman would probably murder Bale's Batman. I'm not a fan of that.
Kevin Conroy will always be the best batman.
Gameplay wise my list is
1:Arkham KNight
2:Arkham City
3:Arkham Asylum
4:Arkham Origins
but if I am basing it off story
1:Arkham Knight
2:Arkham Origins
3:Arkham Asylum
4:Arkham City
In my opinion Origins had a wonderful ambiance to it and the handling of the Joker was really well done, my issue with the story of City is that it did not fit some of the characters motivations in parts. They tried to have too many twists I think.
I agree. The Origins story was a cool twist that I honestly didn't see coming. I liked the Christmas music in that game also.
absolutely the joker theme was PERFECT
Brent Z also bane was such a cool villain. The only game where they nailed bane
Brent Z all this games are shit ...its not batman ..its a fucking child game ..made for childs ..super repetetive ..sorry ..i like batman and i want to play a serious batman game ..no one that he is a super heroe ¬¬
Ckyntosh lets play a game I like to call "Troll or Moron". Lets all guess which one you are!
I loved this game so much I actually 100% completed the game TWICE!! Once on New Gane and New Game Plus and I have NEVER done that before!!
I agree with the reveal, I was underwhelmed. My reaction was "wtf" for the wrong reason
Make a Spoiler Review. I want to hear what you think of the Arkham Knight's identity and ghost Joker.
I'm willing to bet Jeremy caught on to Arkham Knight within about a few hours.
I knew who it was before the game even came out /: the only thing that had thrown me off at first was having a Red Hood dlc
***** The first sentence he said. "Time to die old man" I immediately guessed who it was. It was painfully obvious.
***** The question is why including the bit of Jason Todd DLC. Not that I'm mad, but it sounds odd..
But the pc port tho....
yeah lol, when nvidia gameworks is turned on it uses dx10..you should download it and give it a try with the config files ..make sure gameworks is turned on in the config files and launch it :p
nahhh imma wait
just built a new pc and i still get shit preformance
nice..what specs? and do you have a gpu you're willing to sell?
***** Yeah, it's actually kind of stunning that for consoles it's one of the best games of the year, but for PC it's one of the worst. Actually amazing that WB pulled that off with the same game when you think about it.
Shadow Knight - Road to 100k subs
nah sorry as you know I just had the elitebook and Im keeping that intact to sell
Specs are gtx 960 i5 4690k 3.5 ghz and an msi gaming motherboard
This game is 8 months old and i just got the time to finish it :o damn i'm getting old !!
+Abd -L-Azeez Alkalidy I've had it since August and I'm not even 50% in
+hazzerMovieInk I got it 3 weeks ago and I'm 93% in. very disappointing
Olahcomestasimiahjuanmartines It's nu,ber three on my list for the Arkham games
Just got it last week.
Batman Have fun with it. Don't pay attention to the negatives in the game. This is a Batman game, and it's really good. Few years back we didn't have any good superhero games.
why do people keep spoiling the game in the comments???? the fuck is wrong with you people??? even on non batman related videos???
was that necessary?
I dont understand why people think they are cool for spoiling the game.
Your arent cool you are just a douche
When you commented the game had been out for like a month soooooo
+Solid Snake Next people are gonna be saying that Pliskin is Solid Snake.
"This thing handles better than any Grand Theft Auto car"
Oh, hush.
1. Arkham Knight
2. Arkham City GOTY
3. Arkham Origins
4. Arkham Asylum
5. Artkham Origins Blackgate
6. Arkham City Lockdown
GrandJediMaster7860 Blackgate is on PC btw ;)
Oh sweet list
☣EDcraftMC☣ I like Asylum but I felt it's too simple
Sometimes I need a challenge
☣EDcraftMC☣ good point there ;)
Delon Luu I would put Arkham Asylum ahead of Arkham Origins.
Tyler Christou well I do love Asylum but I added origins slightly ahead because I enjoyed the story and the 8 Assassins storyline despite it's flaws
I heard when they were discussing the game before development the original title was to be:
BATMAN: ARKHAM NIGHTMARE
I prefer that title better. It's not named after a character who's not so great and it's names after the plot and the thing you have to stop
I agree, that is a way better title!
It would be cool if it was BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHTMARE instead.
1) Batman: Arkham City
2) Batman: Arkham Knight
3) Batman: Arkham Asylum
4) Batman: Arkham Origins
Based on story and not side quests:
City
Origins
Knight
Asylum
All of them are pure genius mind, despite the glitches in Origins.
0:56 Petition to make Jeremy Jahns the next Batman.
Jeremy! You should review "Me, Earl and the Dying Girl."
You would love it!
An criminally underrated movie.
my ranking from worst to first (Their all great tho)
I loved the story, and how the suit gets destroyed
2, Arkham origins - I put this here because i love this game all round. I loved the cinematic cutscenes, the story and open world. I liked the voice actors as well. i put it here because, i felt some places were sloppy storytelling
1.Arkham knight - I put this number one, because i loved everything about the game. The detail in th open world, the story, the side missions, and the freaking batmobile was great. My only negatives were the batmobile is relied on to much for fighting, it should only have been used for a few battles, and getting from one point to another.
martianmilktv i also think people are overrating city
Talking about the growing madness of Batman, i can't give it enough praises. One example is when you are looking at the street advertisement, sometimes you see a really bad guy (not spoiling) and when you turn around and see that same ad, you see it changed! Nothing can beat that feeling of getting crazy.
Arkham City is in my top 3 favorite games of all time. The other Arkhams I love all the same.
I plated it on PC with a gtx 970. I didn't have any major problems at all.
you are one of the lucky few
That's because it's final fixed. Ever since the recent steam sale anyways
thats because they fixed it straight after the backlash it recived
Your impression of Batman in the shadows is everything
I actually played it on my PC and it was pretty much flawless. Anyway, here's my Arkham Games ranking:
1. Arkham Asylum
2. Knight and City (tie)
3. Origins
4. Origins Blackgate
Arkham knight flawless on PC?!?! Well that's rare
IKR? I was lucky, I think. :)
+Cullen Johnson had to be luck
1. Batman Arkham Knight (Better gameplay)
2. Batman Arkham City (Better story)
Never played Batman Arkham Origins or Asylum for some reason
Play them!
Asylum's the best one.
Venom snake Nah, city is. Talia and catwoman plus
I'll try to find some really cheap copies then :D
I didn't like Arkham kinights story it's way to predictable
impressed to discover another adult who is a LoK fan. definitely one of the most intelligent and compelling storylines in a video game series. your impeccable taste has earned you a new sub. well done.
Okay... Now I *neeeeeeeeed* to get a PS4!!!
Yes, yes you do.
James Nierle I wish I could afford it though :(
Its on the xbox one too
***** Xbox one? Never heard of it ;D
No no no! Build a PC trust me so much better and less expensive in the long run
What about the Wii U version? 7.8/10 too much Batmobile for the Wii U to handle- IGN
LOL!
Like Jay said and I predicted months ago, it is basically Burnout.
Because this game is 50% shooting tanks.
Efrain Manriquez yes it might be one of it short coming but it a great story overall
0:40 did Jeremy predict the future?😂
Hunter Rogers yep
I kinda wanted to see Jeremy's reaction to the Man-Bat jumpscare
1.city
2.knight
3.asylem
4.origins
perfect list
Cam Pinedo thanks
Asylum: worth full price.
City: awesometacular.
Origins: full price.
Knight: full price but close to awesometacular if not for the bat mobile and the PC port.
Just the bat mobile the port has been fixed
+Sneaky Toast
Not really, the port is now playable not fixed, it's still 30 frames and crashes from time to time but at least it's playable now.
best review i've seen for this. subscribed. nice to see someone who appreciates rocksteady and batman do a review for this. even tho i knew who the arkham knight was almost as soon as i first saw him, i still love that they did that.
Arkham Knight was great but the overuse of the tank, the shitty boss battles, and the OBVIOUS Arkham Knight reveal make it behind Arkham Origins and the best of the series ( IMO) Arkham City
1. Knight (best gameplay)
2. Origins (great story and love the idea of the 8 assassins)
3. City (best story)
4. Asylum (a great game, just a bit too short)
Shout-outs to Soul Reaver 2 💛
Goddamn, I loved Raziel's scenes with Kain in that game. They had such good dialogue between them.
Spoiler alert:
The game was perfect, and still is a great game.
But I just don't like the ending. Because They said this is the last Arkham game so why leave us with a cliffhanger showing a new Batman? Now everyone wants to know who the new batman is.
The way they should've ended it-
when the family is walking down the ally and Jim Gordon says "who will the criminals fear now that batman is dead" it should've showed the husband protect his family by beating up the crooks then showed a montage of normal citizens fighting back/standing up for themselves (similar to the Be the Batman commercial)
A deeper meaning ,that Batman isn't dead.
He lives within all of us.
Perfect Ending !
Terrence Washington I felt like it was: "Wait for the DLC, fuckers!"
What does DLC have to do with the ending?
Unless they're making a DLC for an alternative ending
Terrence Washington
Perhaps a DLC that will adress what exactly happened after Arkham Knight, maybe some montage training for Wayne to become something else for Gotham.
Something like that.
I keep hearing different explanations
Some say it's Azriel, he came back after hearing of batmans death.
Some say it's still Bruce, he faked his own death so he can batman full time with no distractions. And uses fear toxin on his enemies
Some say it's a robot, that Gordon and gcpd are using android Batmans all over Gotham
But the truth is, nobody knows for sure. And that's what I didn't like. This is the last Arkham game it should have a definitive ending not a cliffhanger
Terrence Washington If it were a perfect game you would've liked the ending.
1. Arkham City
2. Arkham asylum
3. Arkham origins
Asylum and origins can swap places for me
connor mccartney He might not have played it yet
connor mccartney if u are PC player u didn't really play it much or not at all.
kyotheman69 It's not like it's happening to all pc players.
kyotheman69 100% it on pc without any real problems.
atticus0011 Congrats on having a rig thats powerful enough to run that piece of filth Arkham Knight.
This game though to me is more fun than the previous entries
All in all i was immersed all the way through and was invested in this game 100%. Everything that leads up to the end of the main missions and the true ending felt as if i played the last season of batman the animated series.
Didn't expect "Awesometacular" since you pointed out a number of cons...
gtactwit Well even though he did mention the cons. It didn't detract his love of the game enough to lower the score and how he values it. It was more of minor nitpicks. But not enough problems in it to make him bored enough for it to anger him.
UniversalChaos931 Yeah I get that. I just didn't expect him to give that rating based on what he said. But to be fair, it would be hard to buy Arkham Knight on bluray so he had little choice :P
gtactwit i think its because he was comparing it to the other games in the series which are some of the best games of all time, so even if it wasnt as good as city, as a game its still amazing (broken on pc tho)
gtactwit he has a different rating system for games
Andrew Papucci I was kidding, obviously...
I was dissapointed in this game. The story's endings were so unsatisfying. Also Jeremy you didnt mention there are no challenge maps and you cant play with the other characters
Casemir Solid V Why because it wasn't mgs v?? I see you on every vid praising mgs v and hating on any other game
***** I didnt even mention MGS and I was expressing my disappointment for this game not hating.
Casey Shenery the reason probably why there aren't any side characters in the main game is because there are people who don't want to play as them and just want to play as batman....so for those who want to play as them have to buy the dlc...I know that sucks....but we are getting challenge maps and side character stories as dlc
A minor thing, but I do miss the kinda fiveaclock facial shadow he had in Asylum & City, it just showed how much time had passed and how tired he was
my order is Arkham City, Arkham Knight, Arkham Origins, Arkham Asylum
.......cough.........FUCKING ARKHAM ASYLUM LAST!?!?
lol since trollin is in your name youll under stand this phrase very well "Problem?"
Asylum over Origins for me. Origins was really boring for me.
Alfonso lmao I haven't played Arkham Knight yet. But out of the rest I think Arkham Asylum as the best atmosphere. It's kind of scary.
TrolinGxTrag3dY they are all so awesome in my opinion. Origins improved bane but the riddler challenges sucked balls
I want Rocksteady to make a Flash game ;_;
Antony Devita i know
Surprised James Doritos
I finally found someone who loves the riddler trophies as much as I do
Also like it , especially in knight
1. Arkham City
2. Knight
3. Asylum
You forgot Origins
*SPOILERS*
I honestly thought this game was the weakest of the Arkham Trilogy and possibly even weaker than Origins...
***** what did I fuck up?
***** It's an opinion, mate. Prety impossible to fuck up an opinion.
Guys why there are so many Robins i don't get it?
You can't have a gay pride march with just one guy...
Two quit, one faked her death, and two died and came back to life.
her??
Dick Grayson had a dispute with Batman
Jason Todd died
Tim Drake convinced Batman he needed Robin
There was a 4th girl one for like 2 minutes
And Damian Wayne is batman's son
nailed it
I'm just asking why batman always gave them that alias should have been anything rather than robin cuz IMO robin is a pretty lame alias lol
Ever felt that you play a game and couldn't judge whether it's good or bad and watch jeremyjahns videos to get a sense of clarity? This is one of them for me, thanks jerry.
1. Arkham Asylum
2. Arkham City
3. Arkham Origins
4. Arkham Knight
Arkham Asylum and Arkham City are among the best games ever made.
Arkham Asylum 10/10
Arkham City 9.9/10
Arkham Origins 8.9/10
Arkham Knight 8.5/10

And I wrote 'bat' instead of 'but' intentially.

So the Arkham Knight is like the Winter Soldier
The arkham game without riddler would be perfect,😂😂
Tanks frighten me. It's time my enemies share my dread.
I'm Tankman.
1. Arkham Knight (Realistic suit and very nice ending)
2. Arkham Origins (I always like an Origin story and Troy Baker does a hell of a Joker)
3. Arkham City (Nice plot and first open world)
4. Arkham Asylum (Overall a good game, didn't like the suit tho)
I loved Arkham Knight!
My list is:
1. Knight
2.Asylum
3.City and Origins (I loved them equally)
Origins < Asylum < Knight < City Worst to best. But they're all AMAZING
Arkham Origins is still my favourite
=(
Lee Clattermole high five bro. I'm reinstalling it right now.
Lee Clattermole Nice troll.
I liked arkham origins but the thing is it had way too many bugs and freezes and it was like it needed a huge patch
