They're totally asses as game developers.
no matter how we feel about Origins. we can all agree that they had the hardest and most impossible to win boss battle in the history of the Arkham games, any games even... Electrocutioner
No one could make a good super-man game he is too powerful. I f you limit his powers that just squanders the character, no matter the talent of the studio they couldn't do it.
HerbieChuckNorris nothing is impossible in the gaming world bro! They can do it! Doesn't have to be on earth! there are tons of villains and heroes who can take supes heads on!
When u said ur bit on how arkham city's riddler trophies wanted to make u quit, that touched my heart in a way no other youtuber has connected with me, UR MY FAV JEREMY!
Jack Nelson-Griffith Yeah. And i'm "sad" he didn't say Roger Craig Smith regarding Batmans' voice. I mean, Ezio Auditore, dude. He has deserved the basic title of his Name atleast.
Jack Nelson-Griffith Really? In my opinion, they were the weakest parts. They were either recycled from the previous 2 games or gave too many hints till the boss fight just seemed pointless. What's the point of boss fights if they aren't going to be a challenge? And don't even get me started on the terrible "boss" fight with Black Mask, the supposed main villain in the game. The only boss which I thought was alright was the fight with Bane.
Sean Yap Dude.Have you forgotten Copperhead and Deathstroke? They were CRAZY hard to beat on New Game Plus. Cant imagine what im gonna do on I Am The Night.
Grimlock Skeleton Honestly, and I don't want to sound like I'm bragging, but I didn't have that much of an issue on New Game Plus. Maybe died 2 times more than on my original run for each of those bosses. But regardless, bosses should be challenging WITHOUT having to up the difficulty in my opinion. If not challenging, at least unique. Copperhead's fight was recycled from Arkham City, and Deathstroke's fight is just like how you'd fight normal thugs: hit attack till you have to counter, that's it.
arkham knight was not awesometacular, little to no fist fight boss battles, 60% tank battles, batmobile being overused, disappointing arkham knight/Jason Todd boss battle, and last upon least NO DEATH STROKE FIST TO FIST COMBAT. Atleast arkham origins had original boss battles.
I think Knight would be much more enjoyable with Alcohol, or for me, Apple Juice

Amrit Singh Arkham Origins is copy of Arkham City and Arkham Knight there is nothing original about it since they annouced Origins... Arkham Knight was already in development and have best combat and stealth mechanics from all three games story was much darker than its predecessors i think most of the dissapointment and complaining comes from the comic book fans i didnt know who was Jason Todd until i saw some animated series... maybe thats i im more satisfied with the game... and Batmobile was great finally something new... i was getting tired Arkham Origins was boring shit and very weak story with no build up or tension ...i was very dissapointed in 2013 when it came out i was like WTF?! i want something new not copy of great Arkham City!
if the other games weren't real eased it would be given about a 8 or a 9 by others but it just don't live up to people's expectations because city and asylum were debatably top 5 games in both years
@@Mohamad-m7md because it's has many bugs and glitch and had very tight budget so they had to copy Arkham city blue prints . But I m fucking excited for Batman court of owls. WB gave them budget this time 😍😍😍
As standalone game, Arkham Origins is one of the best superhero games ever. It has a great story, challenging boss battles, exceptional voice acting and amazing graphics. As a successor to Arkham City, it pales in comparison to its predecessors. This is not because it reuses the same game play as Arkham City but because it fails to successfully build on its foundations. What I was really looking forward to was Gotham City itself. This would have been a great opportunity to finally introduce a proper Gotham City to franchise, full of civilians, vehicles, taller skyscrapers blimps and more iconic architecture from the comics, instead Arkham Origins barely offers any of the above. All it is Arkham City with a bigger, more empty map.
I can't stand that they relied on The Joker as the main bad guy... again. Black mask as a main bad guy was the thing that drawled in, and they took that away. Grrr
I agree. I was pretty excited about black mask leading assassins to try and kill batman and when the joker came in, it was kind of like Arkham asylum and Arkham city all over again.
i also agree. i was like yay blackmask is the central villain. then i was like NO WHY ARE YOU RELYING ON THE JOKER TO DRIVE THE STORY.....AGAIN??? that was quite lazy
Meh, I actually really liked it. Did it suck that they acted like the game was going to feature Black Mask as the main villain, only to have him be a side mission boss? Yeah, but then again the twist wouldn't have been nearly as shocking if they hadn't. Plus, it wasn't like it was a cheap story line, it was actually pretty well developed and I thought it was MUCH less cluttered than Arkham City's story was. If they had just made the Joker the main villain in this game because it's easy to dislike him, and they didn't develop him at all...I could see where people are coming from. But, they actually used him quite well to show the first moments of the Joker and Batman becoming "soul mates" in this really odd love/hate relationship. Plus, his scenes were excellent, and the whole hotel section with his "fun house" is definitely my favorite part of the game.
This is actually my favorite of the series and for no other reason than the feel. You know, it's Christmas Eve, it's snowing, you have your spy-esque music playing while you glide around and stop villains and solve cases. It's great!
I think the game gets too much shit. Yes, the gameplay is basically the gameplay from Arkham City. That doesn't make it bad though, it's still a thrill to play.
The best part was the story it could stand right alongside the others. I liked how they made Batman seem like a genius unlike the others. The gameplay wasn't that good, and like the dude said it did have some glitches that still haven't been patched to this day.
Ah man, casting Troy Baker as the Joker couldn't have been a better pick. I'm a huge Troy Baker fan and he should get more credit for his voice work. Awesome dude.
Arkham Origins is a very good game. The Complete Edition is a lot better with all the DLCs. Hoping they were on the disc not codes to download the dlc, but still. Don't know why people trashed this game so much. It's good, very good! Don't care about the tower bug crash, I just don't. Happend to me one time, that's it.
Agree with Tails The Awesome Fox :D I still remember when many disliked the game and when you asked why ? You got a bunch of answers like: Its not Rocksteady (rolling eyes).. / Problem with Arkham Origins (at least for some) it was that it came after ARKHAM CITY.. a game that many think its THE BEST.. so their expectations where HIGH Overall.. I think Origins is a good / solid game. Maybe not great as City.. but good and enjoyable (set in winter / X-mas Eve.. good boss fights)
Keep in mind though, that this game was pretty much made as a distraction to keep us fans occupied while they made Arkham Knight, hence the easy puzzles and lack of extra variety, but despite it being a quick cash-on, they did it pretty well. I mean, wow. It was a distraction, all right. But it was an incredibly effective distraction. That's what I think, at least. I loved this game very much.
Ram Sridhar Despite it being a quick cash-on it was actually better than the game it was meant to distract us from, lmao. My respect for this game and its writing rose so much after the hours I've played Arkham Knight.
Jon Ericson I like playing online but u need internet to play it, for example whenever my family and go to a hotel I would bring my ps3 and play it. in single player u can play it whenever u want so I like single player better.
Jon Ericson Totally with you on that. I was a huge Assassin's Creed fan but when they introduced multiplayer it was the stupidest shit I've ever played. & I still don't think they've changed a damn thing about it. But nowadays it's pretty rare to find a new game with no mp. They think the only way they'll keep us playing their game is adding something you can just keep playing on and on. But it's a stupid theory seeing how games like GTA and Call of Duty are the only ones getting a reputation for multiplayer, to be honest. Battlefield stuck their foot in and got a spot too. Other games get a short time of fame, then in 6 months you won't find a single person in matchmaking lol. Soon it will be nothing but online.
It's like the case of the first two new super mario bros. games the first one on the ds didn't really focused on the multiplayer sure you had mario AND luigi but for the story mode you had to choose ONE of them. And then came the fucking wii version which focused HEVILY on the four player multiplayer and sucked all the fun on finding the star coins which were important for 100% completion err fuck this game!!!!!
oz pardo Yeah I like solving narratives in games, I'm not a big fan of mindless zombie killing with friends online like the majority of gamers that the industry targets. I guess I'm still stuck in the 90s.
I like the fact that in Arkham: Origins the Enigma Packs aren't that hard, because it shows Nygma actually got SMARTER as he got older, and thus more dangerous. It'd be disappointing if it was harder in the origin story.
Bad plot, even worst Knight identity reveal, characters acted out of character, bad Deathstroke fight, bland and repetitive missions, batmobile being forced, game wanting to be edgy by killing off Oracle but bringing her back because of cowardice to compromise, the Joker appearing every 5 minutes and being irritating. Arkham Knight looks great, but it isn't at it's core. Also, worst PC port in who knows how long.
A character, no matter how good, gets tiresome after the 30th time it pops up just to make a dumb joke that falls flat. Writing, both plotwise and dialog, are horrible in this game. The ending was intriguing, I'll give it that.
My opinien: Arkham Asylum: 8.5/10 Arkham City: 10/10 Arkham Origins: 7.9/10 Arkham Knight: 8.8 Arkham Knight was a great game but it had its proplems like: •Batmobile tank missions waay too much •Arkham Knight identity was clear from the start •Batmobile puzzles and the Riddler tracks,... •Ending being a little ehhhh, not bad but i just found it lacking... •Scarecrow is my favourite villian but he does not get that much screentime to be honest... •PC port.... Nuff said.... the good: +The graphics are STUNNING! +The Joker is genius in this game... +Scarecrows design looked so badass man.... +The multi takedown.... +Enough missions to keep you busy +The new character models look great +The intro is awesome +Aaaand IM BATMAN!!!! (Voice actors)
Maybe Enigma intentionally made the packs relatively easy to find (and to taunt those who tried but were out of the attemptor's hands but within sight) because he never expected anyone to find them (Batman was just starting out), but in Arkham City, he intentionally cranked up the difficulty on the collectibles because he knows Batman found all his trophies/packs on 2 separate occasions and to test and then laugh at the player rage quitting.
Batman isn't the only one in his early career, who's to say Enigma didn't evolve his ways also? For once, I didn't mind that the collectibles were easier, there's ike 200 friggin' data packs!
***** "weak design" you say? If anything that game was over-designed. They tried way too hard to link challenges, gameplay and story into one. Not so hard to get Enigma packs is basically a compensation for the annoyance the Dark Knight challenges provided.
Fraser Souris No, they clearly just didn't know what to really do with the data packs. Please don't make excuses for things that are so obviously flawed.
+Ainslie Hunter I would give Arkham Knight an 8.5 because the Batmobile, and lack of boss battles. I kean really, fighting Deathstroke and the Arkham Knight with tanks? Probably 2 of the very few that can actually match Batman's hand to hand combat?
More people should see this review. This is EXACTLY right. People go around bashing me and everybody who says they love this game, but you talk about exactly why I love it!
They claim its to stop "threats" and "harassment". The real reason is because they want to expand Google+ by forcing us to make accounts so we can use this site.
Here's a list of things that I would really appreciate if you could review Mr. Jahns! -Arrested Development -Seinfield -Assassins creed 4 -GTAV How I met Your Mother -Scrubs -Beyond Two Souls -Elf -Jingle All The Way -Family Guy -Monk -Psych and last but definetely my favorite WONDER YEARS! Thanks, this is just a list of things I reccomend you play or watch, in case you're not sure what to review!
I got the game two days ago and beat it yesterday. The game did feel shorter than the other ones. I agreed with everything you said. Grappling was limited and annoying at times, cut scenes were laggy. But, I still loved the story and the game itself. Arkham City was still the best one out of the three though.
Am I the only one who watches these reviews, then realizes I completely agree with everything he says? Excellent work my man. My go to guy for entertainment. Keep up the good work!
I loved this game however (SPOILER ALERT) I'm as big of a joker fan as Jeremy but I really wanted Black mask to be a stand alone villain. And he started to be really cool. And It would have been better if Black Mask and Joker were separate
Im here because of the new Batman AK which is such an epic game and probably GOTY 2015. I am about to play all the previous Batman games as well thanks to Batman AK.
***** i haven't played AK yet but it doesn't look that bad of a game. The batmobile is the main addition to the franchise so of course its gonna be used quite a bit but i do understand that people don't want to use the batmobile like 24/7 in the game. Still i can't wait to play it :)
SPOILER I dont get why people dont think this is literally a arkham asylum origin? At the end of the game they create arkham to contain all the criminals that batman captured.
Except in that game it's is said Arkham has existed for decades because Amadeus Arkham used to treat patients there. So why is it closed in Arkham Origins? Quincy Sharp is implied as Amadeus' descendant, why doesn't he know what Arkham Asylum is? Harley Quinn met Joker in Arkham Asylum because she was an intern there, but they retcon that for no reason. Little, big, things like that... This was a good story, but it was such a bad origins story.
***** Just spitballing here, but it might have been closed due to poor funding, or maybe some kind of health concern. Or maybe they weren't treating patients correctly. All those could work. And I don't think Quincy is Amadeus' descendant. I believe in the first game it was established that Sharp believes himself to be the reincarnation of Amadeus Arkham. And I don't know if in the Arkham games they specifically said that Harley met Joker at Arkham. Also that's a pretty minor detail. I think the title was good because it made a lot of sense. Gotham Origins wouldn't have worked. This game was explaining why Gotham felt they needed Arkham Asylum.
***** It's hinted that Sharp has some sort of split personality disorder, the other persona believing itself to be Amadeus Arkham. Also, I don't think it's mentioned that Harley met Joker in Arkham in this universe.
Even though Sharp's not Amadeus, it's hinted he suffers from a similar disorder because they're relatives of some kind. A second point: There's are fucking tapes in Arkham Asylum that narrate Harley/Joker's encounter by voice, so yeah. It's mentioned in the games.
***** I said the same damn thing you did and nobody believes me. Thank you for being awesome. People should go back and play Asylum. It's all right there. Plus, the Amadeus storyline is directly lifted from the Serious House on Serious Earth story, where Joker takes over Arkham with Batman alone inside.
I absolutely adored this game. I'm sort of new to your channel Mr. Jahns but man I find we have a lot of the same opinions. As for the game, yeah I had a few glitched but those are patchable so they don't affect my judgement personally. I loved this game, I loved the mechanics, the multiplayer, the enemies. One of the biggest complaints I hear is about how little innovation there was but you know what? We as the fans ASKED specifically for them not to mess with it, so I completely understand. I feel like the multiplayer was fun, but a miss step. I do hope that instead, in future arkham games they'll design the game for the campaign, but then maybe let other players come in as sidekicks, I mean geeze Batman has plenty of them, let your friend come in as Red Robin, or Batgirl, There is a tone of innovation that can be done on a co-op mechanic alone, tag-takedowns, team counters? That's the golden goose right there. Let me know if you agree!
Most annoying thing - when you click on the time, like: 5:30 Instead of it jumping to that time - a whole new video opens in a tab for you. If I have to open a new tab to go to a different time, then I'll just move the time-slider. And stop notifying me "YOU HAVE PUBLICLY LIKED THIS COMMENT" idiotic Google.
Haven't played it, but I've watched it played. Other than citing issues with the combat being stiffer than previous games, the Deathstroke boss fight is AMAZING. It reminds me of Ra'as Al Ghul from Arkham City, and how great that fight was.
Played and finished; I had the following problems: 1. The gang fight that starts the bird questline? I never got it. 2. I feel like they underused the assassins; I feel like deathstroke, at least, should have had at least 3 boss fights in 3 different areas. 3. The joker was Black mask all along. While cool, I would've preferred to fight the enemy that I was told I'd be fighting; i.e. Black Mask
When Arkham City came out, I was disappointed with the Robin, Catwoman and Nightwing portions... before the DLC. I'm hoping the third game's multiplayer is everything I wanted for 2: the option of a versus mode, setting you and a friend in competition to see who can take out the most enemies the fastest with the most creativity. Also, when they make a number 4, I'd like to see a story unfold differently depending on who you pick to play: Batman, Catwoman, Nightwing and Robin. Each one has their own portion of Gotham to cover and thus has a portion of the whole story. Maybe Arkham has been completely destroyed by a villain, resulting in city-wide riots and chaos. Scarecrow, Croc and Hush return, with Hush posing as Bruce and Scarecrow spreading fear gas everywhere so even normal citizens have become violent. I have called this imaginary game, "Arkham Unleashed".
Apart from Troy Baker, Roger Craig Smith deserves praise as the voice of Batman in this game. He was great as young, angry, impatient yet badass Batman. Plus he was Ezio in Assassin's Creed.
I agree with pretty much everything you said. I think it was great with the story and the characters. Roger Craig Smith was the perfect voice for the younger Batman and Troy Baker was terrifying as the Joker. I can definitely see that they are going to grow into the voices we are so familiar with from the other games and the tv series. The gameplay was a little bit disappointing in comparison to Arkham City since it was HUGE and had so much content, but it was still really enjoyable to play and the improvements to detective mode were pretty cool too!
Even though the gameplay could have added more and included glitches (after 2 patches might I add), Arkham Origins is fun and is definitely the best overall story of the 3 games
I'm finding that the combo system doesn't allow you the ability to utilize the quick fire gadgets. Also if counter attacking isn't your high suit, then you are doomed to complete ALL boss battles.
The gadgets still do quickfire, just some of the button configs changed. So far my highest combo is 367 (100 to 1 challenge map). Regarding boss battles, LOL, yup.
Just one point, when we cross through the Pioneers Bridge we can easily grapple onto the wires and then dive-bomb consecutively to cover up the distance till the next wire/ledge.
I think WB Games Montreal did a pretty good job with Arkham Origins. I am not gonna be sad if there making another Arkham or Batman game. If they learn from the mistakes what they made in Origins, then they would make a good game. That's my opinion.
I know you guys might hate me on this but Arkham origins in my opinion is the best in the series then Arkham city then Arkham asylum then Arkham knight
the longest credits goes to "Grand theft Auto V"...by far i took a nap woke up took my dog out for a walk came back made dinner and was still going.....
How you tried Assassin's Creed end credits? Takes forever and then some. At least there was something pretty to watch during GTA V end credits, instead of the usual black screen. Not defending, just saying.
I think this is the best Arkham story also I feel like the assassins weren't a huge focus and then once the Joker joined the party they vanished besides side missions. I don't know maybe that's just me
I need your help here. I've 100%'d all other Arkham games, played all 3 of them twice (hard mode each time & new game +) and I am already aware of some major spoilers for Origins. Shall I get it anyway? Plus, I've heared that the MP servers were shut down years ago, meaning I won't be able to get the platinum trophy.
Grappling sucked. Sometimes I'd simply fall in the water and the grapple works, but not on the bridge On the bridge, you just gotta dive bomb to a level below the wires, and grapple works. I liked the fact that I could collect all datapacks, unlike riddler trophies. Due to glitches, my map still shows a datapack, which is a bummer.
Actually, Kevin Conroy said he will return as Batman in the sequal for Arkham City (Yes, it is happening, he announced via Twitter) but it's unknown if Mark Hamil will return. The game is made by Rocksteady, also. It's unknown when it will come out though, as it hasn't been fully announced. Kevin Conroy did announce it though, and so did Rocksteady (Likewise, on accident on Twitter)
This Game is Great! It's NOT a Arkham game for me! It's a great normal Batman game for me!! I think the Title is a misser. Because it's not about Arkham nor is it an Origin story
It is about the origins of arkham asylum because of the events that happened in arkham origins the asylum was open cause if not for that night blackgate might have been the seting of arkham asylum
Actually, the events of the game is what leads up to Arkham Asylum. Quincy Sharp even states that in the end credits. So basically, it is Arkham Origins.
Olahcomestasimiahjuanmartines Arkham Knight was one of the best games I have ever played so if you are trying to slag it off you can do better than that...
I enjoyed the game quite much, more than Arkham Asylum and a little less than Arkham City. The basic gadgets and combos are very familiar, but then I'm thinking, how different should it be? I'd love to explore new sets of gadgets and combos, but I'm content with what I have. Plus I love using Remote Claw.
Let's not give Arkham origins such a hard time. Rocksteady didn't want us to wait 4 years till their next Arkham game without nothing, so they told another studio(WB Montreal) to give the audience something in the mean time I know how there's some glitches here and there, but they had a short time to do this game. I also know how nobody liked how joker was the plot twist to being the person who hired the assassins, not Black mask. Trust me, I'm also really bugged out about that as well, but it gave a real purpose for joker to be there. All of joker's scenes where awesome and it needed to have purpose. Batman might sound a lot like Christian Bale at some times, but they wanted to show a more raw and inexperienced batman. They wanted to show the side of him we didn't know.
Well, this was a funny moment - I just finished the game and started googling reviews to see what other people thing, while the credits were still rolling and rolling... :)
When I first started playing this game I wasn't really into it. The mechanics felt too familiar and lacked innovation and nothing interested me for the first few hours. The Deathstroke battle was way overhyped in my opinion. The first time was challenging because I didn't quite know what to expect and I was trying to get the trophy for never failing a counter. The real highlights in terms of boss battles were the fights with Bane. He was the only real boss that made me question if I could really beat him. Aside from fighting him, he was overall awesome. He had a cool voice, he was intimidating and he was modeled perfectly. At one point I actually wished he was the main antagonist of the game. The major plot twist at the bank was great but at the same time it was kind of a lame cop-out. It was so cliche for a "Arkham" game that I should've known the story would go that route. These games have always had some of the best-written boss battles and this game is no exception. The settings for some of these boss battles are so clever! I thought is was pure genius to set the fight with firefly on a bridge. It brought a whole new meaning to the phrase "burning bridges". I loved Joker's intro cutscene. I can watch that cutscene over-and-over and still get chills and grin from ear-to-ear. I got chills again when he was psychologically evaluated by a certain somebody... It was awesome to see that character before donning the iconic image we all recognize. I thought for sure this game would let me down due to all the mediocre reviews and even though it took me a while to enjoy it, it improved vastly over time especially when Joker came into the picture.
Update as of June 2018: If you get the Backwards Compatible version for Xbox One, all those glitches he mentioned are gone! No weird cutscenes or anything, it’s pretty cool finally seeing and hearing after 5 years.
Big glitch: I beat an Enigma radio tower and unlocked the Batwing fast travel, but not the locations of the relays. I spent HOURS walking around the streets looking for them just hanging on buildings and then, by accident, I grappled past the radio tower only to hear Enigma taunting me as if I hadn't already beat that tower. So then I had to beat it again to get the relay locations. Happened twice.
This is personally my favourite of the Arkham series the story, voice actors (Troy and Roger 🤩), the gameplay and it just has a special place in my heart for being the first Arkham game I played
people don't understand that this is ARKHAM origins its the origin of how Arkham came to be. If you listen to Quincy Sharp during the end credits he talks about fixing Arkham up again to house the more criminally insane rather than just putting them in blackgate due to what happened in the game. So technically it is the origin to what we know as todays Arkham Asylum

its not underrated its just not as good as the other batman games. its still good
Rocksteady needs to make a Superman video game or a Justice League game, that would be awesome.
YES!
No one could make a good super-man game he is too powerful. I f you limit his powers that just squanders the character, no matter the talent of the studio they couldn't do it.
they're probably are developing it for next gen
HerbieChuckNorris nothing is impossible in the gaming world bro! They can do it! Doesn't have to be on earth! there are tons of villains and heroes who can take supes heads on!
Alexred94 Yeah, most likely.
When u said ur bit on how arkham city's riddler trophies wanted to make u quit, that touched my heart in a way no other youtuber has connected with me, UR MY FAV JEREMY!
I really enjoy the Venom Bane boss fight, was scary as fuck
Eddie Rattlehead And the music wasn't helping. It was scarier than Asylum Killer Croc.
Eddie Rattlehead And the music wasn't helping. It was scarier than Asylum Killer Croc.
***** Deathstroke fight was cool but i enjoy more Bane boss fight
+Khalid Abdalla It's TH-cam, most users don't watch their language
this game had the best bossfights of all the arkham games the rocksteady ones had all shitty bossfights except for the mr.freeze bossfight in city.
I thought it was really cool how they showed the joker going through his obsession with batman in this game. I loved how it built their relationship
to be honest im surprised he didn't mention DeathStroke and Deadshot
Im kinda sad that jeremy didnt touch on the boss fights, those were the best part of the game
Jack Nelson-Griffith Electrocutioner's first "fight" reminded me of the final fight with Mysterio in Spider-Man 2.
Copperhead's fight was recycled from Arkham City, and Deathstroke's fight is just like how you'd fight normal thugs: hit attack till you have to counter, that's it.
only complaint about this game:WTF ELECTROCUTIONER
Yeah!! Electrocutioner was SOOO hard I broke my controller beating him!!
I always wondered why he was in the game; the only purpose he had were his gloves
Ikr HARDEST BOSS EVER! >:(
The fight just demonstrated his character cocky
LaptopGamingDude My game glitched so I stuned him, punched him once and he just died like an idiot. so yeah.....not so hard for me lol!
I hope the next Batman movie is like Batman Arkham Origins. I want to see villains like Black Mask, Deathstroke, Deadshot, etc.
***** cut them some slack, they were probably rushed to release it since rocksteady is going to announce the new one really soon
Vincent Nguyen looks like your dreams came true
Well, they all have made an appearance on the big or small screen now
As a story, this one is my favourite.
Same
Best boss fights too. Just a very dead city tbh
yep
i know RIGHT!
+Stud03Muffin
What is your opinion on the boss fights of Arkham City? =) The Mr Freeze boss fight seems to be a fan favorite.
Arkham Asylum = Awesometacular
Arkham City = Awesometacular
Arkham Origins = Buy it full price
Arkham Knight = Awesometacular
That is the same ratings jj gave em
Origins may be better. Knight was such a disappointing game.
arkham knight was not awesometacular, little to no fist fight boss battles, 60% tank battles, batmobile being overused, disappointing arkham knight/Jason Todd boss battle, and last upon least NO DEATH STROKE FIST TO FIST COMBAT.
Damn, I really wanted him to say "buy it on blu-ray"
how can u buy a game on blu-ray? I think you meant " Worth buying , even at full price"
Emir Al-hamawandi It was a joke...
Emir Al-hamawandi Well, the PS3 uses Blu-rays :P
Emir Al-hamawandi PS3 blu-ray
soz didnt see it that way
Even thought
It's the worst of the series, if it came out before Arkham Asylum it would've been called the best superhero game ever.
It would
if the other games weren't real eased it would be given about a 8 or a 9 by others but it just don't live up to people's expectations because city and asylum were debatably top 5 games in both years
Aaronstark19
Origins is Waaaay better than Asylum it’s a fact I don’t know why people keep ignoring that
@@Mohamad-m7md because it's has many bugs and glitch and had very tight budget so they had to copy Arkham city blue prints .
I know right!
mc_macapaca Even though it was quite lazy, I still loved what they did lol. That story man, loved it. Also the cutscenes were just gorgeous!
It boggles my mind how people hated this game it was the best one
i love open worlds so I thought city was the best
The best part was the story it could stand right alongside the others. I liked how they made Batman seem like a genius unlike the others. The gameplay wasn't that good, and like the dude said it did have some glitches that still haven't been patched to this day.
Lol no kiddo
The best? Nah, City>Knight>Origins>Asylum. Origin doesn't deserve the hate it gets, but it wasn't that great either.
+borek921 nah fam it's
City
Asylum
Origins
Knight
All Batman games are 75% off on Steam, lasts until 22nd September (2014)
I got the entire batman: arkham series for 17 dollars
I got all 3 for £16.50 at my local game shop.
Ah man, casting Troy Baker as the Joker couldn't have been a better pick. I'm a huge Troy Baker fan and he should get more credit for his voice work. Awesome dude.
I was IMPRESSED with Troy Baker as the joker. I grew up with Mark Hamill but god dam that man is talented!!!
People mainly hated it because Arkham Origins was made by a different company instead of Rocksteady.
Agree with Tails The Awesome Fox :D
I still remember when many disliked the game and when you asked why ? You got a bunch of answers like: Its not Rocksteady
(rolling eyes).. / Problem with Arkham Origins (at least for some) it was that it came after ARKHAM CITY.. a game that many think its THE BEST.. so their expectations where HIGH
Overall.. I think Origins is a good / solid game. Maybe not great as City.. but good and enjoyable (set in winter / X-mas Eve.. good boss fights)
Batman: Arkham Asylum: 9.5/10
Batman: Arkham City: 10/10
Batman: Arkham Origins: 8.5/10
Arkham Knight: 9/10 (My opinion)
Asylum 7/10
City 9/10
Origins 9/10
Knight 8/10
Asylum : 7.5
City : 9
Origins : 6.5
Knight : 8
Knight: 8/10
Jason Strom Knight >>>> origins
+DarkSaborComa yeah it's better than knight just because of the dumb tank shit that takes up half the game
I thought I was the only person that doesn't buy a game for the multiplayer.
Hell no, I'm a serious SP gamer. Dont get me wrong, I love team ups or FFA stuff, but dont shoehorn co-op/MP just for the sake of doing it.
People say this game sucked just but I don't know why this game is amazing
Sure they overused the joker but u got admit Troy baker was awesome as joker
joshua powell he does sound like hamill a little bit
Continuity issues ????
Yeah but this is a different interpretation of batman they can change things around
Oh you mean that yeah definitely errors in continuity
I like the fact that in Arkham: Origins the Enigma Packs aren't that hard, because it shows Nygma actually got SMARTER as he got older, and thus more dangerous. It'd be disappointing if it was harder in the origin story.
Asylum 95/100
City 100/100
Origins 85/100
Knight 100/00
james RM Knight was the worst.
Anibal Morales too much batmobile? Lol just messing...why u think it was the worst
My opinien:
Arkham Asylum: 8.5/10
Arkham City: 10/10
Arkham Origins: 7.9/10
Arkham Knight: 8.8
Arkham Knight was a great game but it had its proplems like:
•Batmobile tank missions waay too much
•Arkham Knight identity was clear from the start
•Batmobile puzzles and the Riddler tracks,...
•Ending being a little ehhhh, not bad but i just found it lacking...
•Scarecrow is my favourite villian but he does not get that much screentime to be honest...
•PC port.... Nuff said....
the good:
+The graphics are STUNNING!
+The Joker is genius in this game...
+Scarecrows design looked so badass man....
+The multi takedown....
+Enough missions to keep you busy
+The new character models look great
+The intro is awesome
+Aaaand IM BATMAN!!!! (Voice actors)
Dude you have one of the most legit, honest, and entertaining reviews/vids out there. Thoroughly enjoyable. Cheers!
For once, I didn't mind that the collectibles were easier, there's ike 200 friggin' data packs!
i beat the riddler in all three games and perfected all three games, i am a huge batman and wanted to take it to the max
Arkham Asylum: 9/10
Arkham City: 10/10
Arkham Origins: 8/10
Arkham Knight: 7/10
Arkham Asylum: 8/10
Arkham City: 10/10
Arkham Origins: 7/10
Arkham Knight: 9/10
7/10 with Arkham Knight? Wow.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂nice joke
+Ainslie Hunter I would give Arkham Knight an 8.5 because the Batmobile, and lack of boss battles. I kean really, fighting Deathstroke and the Arkham Knight with tanks? Probably 2 of the very few that can actually match Batman's hand to hand combat?
Heck no
More people should see this review. This is EXACTLY right. People go around bashing me and everybody who says they love this game, but you talk about exactly why I love it!
Troy Baker was awesome as the Joker and I could hardly tell the difference of the voices between Mark and Troy =)
why google messed up the comments
***** They have completely ruined TH-cam in the past three years, I think we're entitled to some rants ;)
They claim its to stop "threats" and "harassment". The real reason is because they want to expand Google+ by forcing us to make accounts so we can use this site.
They've been shitting on this site for a while now, but this time they really fucked it all up lol
***** Google are cunts.
If he plays games strictly for single player then I'd love to know his thoughts on Battlefield.
Here's a list of things that I would really appreciate if you could review Mr. Jahns!
-Arrested Development
-Seinfield
-Assassins creed 4
-GTAV
How I met Your Mother
-Scrubs
-Beyond Two Souls
-Elf
-Jingle All The Way
-Family Guy
-Monk
-Psych
and last but definetely my favorite
WONDER YEARS!
Thanks, this is just a list of things I reccomend you play or watch, in case you're not sure what to review!
and malcomm in the middle
I got the game two days ago and beat it yesterday. The game did feel shorter than the other ones. I agreed with everything you said. Grappling was limited and annoying at times, cut scenes were laggy. But, I still loved the story and the game itself. Arkham City was still the best one out of the three though.
the longest credit ever is AC3 cant even skip it
Deathstroke was wasted in the game for me. He was barely in the game and I honestly just wanted more Deathstroke.
Vincent Nguyen I wanted more Electrocutioner
Not as much as Arkham Knight, I mean you don't even fight him.
Deathstroke was a fuckin embarrassment in -City- Knight, At least in Origins they portrayed him (a bit) better.
When was he in City? I remember Deadshot but Deathstroke?
Oops, I meant Knight. Fixed it. Deadshot was wasted in City as well though.
Absolutely loved this game. Dare I say it, more than the other games. Maybe it was the fight with Deathstroke, who knows. It was awesome.
Am I the only one who watches these reviews, then realizes I completely agree with everything he says? Excellent work my man. My go to guy for entertainment. Keep up the good work!
Why did they remove the thunder sound when you defeat the last enemy in a fight?
I loved this game however (SPOILER ALERT) I'm as big of a joker fan as Jeremy but I really wanted Black mask to be a stand alone villain. And he started to be really cool. And It would have been better if Black Mask and Joker were separate
Im here because of the new Batman AK which is such an epic game and probably GOTY 2015.
I am about to play all the previous Batman games as well thanks to Batman AK.
Arkham Knight was kind of a disappointment, but you should still play all the others :)
***** i haven't played AK yet but it doesn't look that bad of a game. The batmobile is the main addition to the franchise so of course its gonna be used quite a bit but i do understand that people don't want to use the batmobile like 24/7 in the game. Still i can't wait to play it :)
Its going to be fallout 4 not knight lol.
***** Fair enough
***** AK reveal, i knew it a mile away cuz of those *stories* in batman mind if u know what i mean cuz i dont want to spoil anything
Haha your Buffet analogy to the grappling mechanism was hilarious. And spot on btw.
Most annoying thing - when you click on the time, like: 5:30
Instead of it jumping to that time - a whole new video opens in a tab for you.
If I have to open a new tab to go to a different time, then I'll just move the time-slider.
And stop notifying me "YOU HAVE PUBLICLY LIKED THIS COMMENT" idiotic Google.
troy baker is also doing the voice for ocelot in MGS5
And Delsin in Infamous: Second Son. I think Troy Baker is becoming the Tara Strong of video games!
I guess that's because he's "pretty good"!
This is the worst commenting system I've ever seen.
***** Yeah, I don't think they understand the concept of "If it ain't broke don't fix it."
***** Google wanted to unify Google and TH-cam account I think.
Manav Mehta And still all of the world hate it.
Haven't played it, but I've watched it played. Other than citing issues with the combat being stiffer than previous games, the Deathstroke boss fight is AMAZING. It reminds me of Ra'as Al Ghul from Arkham City, and how great that fight was.
Played and finished; I had the following problems:
Black Mask
Say what u want, I loved Arkham Origins and I think it's the best in the series
,loved toó its amazing I dont enjoy BAC as i enjoy this one
damian piedrahitavega me tooo
Me too
Me too
Souhail A. Same
When Arkham City came out, I was disappointed with the Robin, Catwoman and Nightwing portions... before the DLC.
Dang! You predicted Arkham Knight good!
@@grimes558 he did predict gotham knights tho
Will you be doing a review of assassins creed 4?
God Jeremy is so funny I laughed so hard "I locked into this game for days just playing it and hours would go by and im like -im bbaattmmaannn"
I fucking hate Google+
***** Yeah. Had the same problem this morning. Forcing TH-camrs to use Google+ is a bad, bad idea.
***** it's in the video manager at the bottom not that it's gonna do you any good now . . .
I hate it so much,I hate facebook to but trying to destroy a very succussful buissnes like TH-cam for some Facebook rip off is just a bad idea.
www.change.org/petitions/google-change-the-youtube-comment-section-back-to-its-original-form#share to stop this nonsense
NielsScholtenAlt Thank you for this, have my signature,With this rate of success it will probably change back quite quickly.
Even though the gameplay could have added more and included glitches (after 2 patches might I add), Arkham Origins is fun and is definitely the best overall story of the 3 games
I just want Rocksteady back on board.
Oh I agree. I think they took the game to another level each time. Despite the writing, the mechanics are just a rehash of AC
By the way, I am number 29 on the endurance combat map...abt 1.4 million
Origins had the best story and boss fights of the Arkham games to me. Nothing else in the series put me on edge as much as the hotel fight with Bane.
Just one point, when we cross through the Pioneers Bridge we can easily grapple onto the wires and then dive-bomb consecutively to cover up the distance till the next wire/ledge.
personally after playing Asylum and city I think this has been the best one
I love the fight with Deathstroke.
I think WB Games Montreal did a pretty good job with Arkham Origins. I am not gonna be sad if there making another Arkham or Batman game. If they learn from the mistakes what they made in Origins, then they would make a good game. That's my opinion.
The SomeGuy i agree but Rocksteady is making arkham knight, that game is going to be boss
Troy Baker was also Yuri Lowell and Greed in FMA:B and he ROCKED in both of those roles.
It made no sense that the grapnel boost gun was in this game, because it was unlocked as a prototype in Arkham City
Peace walker is SICK! Cant wait for ground zeroes
Have you*
***** No i haven't I will let you know once i finish it...lol
I think this is the best Arkham story also I feel like the assassins weren't a huge focus and then once the Joker joined the party they vanished besides side missions. I don't know maybe that's just me
I need your help here. I've 100%'d all other Arkham games, played all 3 of them twice (hard mode each time & new game +) and I am already aware of some major spoilers for Origins. Shall I get it anyway? Plus, I've heared that the MP servers were shut down years ago, meaning I won't be able to get the platinum trophy.
JT -117- worth they play through, if you can get it for cheap
Arkham Asylum 8/10
Arkham City 10/10
Arkham Origins 8.5/10
AA 8
AC 9.5
AO 8.5
Arkham Asylum fedfs/346
Arkham City Shit/Piss
Arkham Origins 1111/0
Asylum 9.5
City 10
Origins ... still playing, feeling like a solid 8 so far.
it needed the batmobile
We're gonna get it in Batman Arkham Knight! a couple more months!
I saw so excited
Jeremy can you review metal gear rising or black flag?
It is an origin story genius. They tell how Batman met Gordon, Oracle and his relation ship with then. And of course, Joker.
Actually, the events of the game is what leads up to Arkham Asylum. Quincy Sharp even states that in the end credits. So basically, it is Arkham Origins.
I buy games for single player also lol
Reason original cast never returned for this game > because they were working on a better Arkham game ;)
something that isn't called Arkham knight
yes it is, arkham knight is amazing it just got allot of hate thanks to the shitty pc port.
Olahcomestasimiahjuanmartines Arkham Knight was one of the best games I have ever played so if you are trying to slag it off you can do better than that...
It astounds me that kids will actually say this incoherent mess is better then knight, I know they are in the minority but still....
+theinsanitygamers007 I'm a PC player, the port is way now than it was at launch, I love knight it's my second favorite arkham game next to city
Rocksteady didn't want us to wait 4 years till their next Arkham game without nothing, so they told another studio(WB Montreal) to give the audience something in the mean time
I know how there's some glitches here and there, but they had a short time to do this game.
They wanted to show the side of him we didn't know.
im attracted to Joker from batman arkham origins
Who isn't?
ItAlex ikr
Well, this was a funny moment - I just finished the game and started googling reviews to see what other people thing, while the credits were still rolling and rolling... :)
Yep, this was the second review I watched and I read another one, all before the credits ended.
Arkham Origins is good but not as good as the first 2 games.
The Joker Agreed though Joker I'm surprised you didn't pick Arkham City instead cause that's where you died LOL
LOLLOLOLO-yeah that's not funny.
WhaleShark You have no sense of humor sure it was a bad joke but still get a sense of humor
+The Joker Agreed.
If you're going to like a game because it have more than you don't even know what a good video game is.
Do ac4 review
This is my favourite Arkham game. Come at me.
