    Nicely done. But, did you install the risers for the motherboard, or did it not need it?
    PS: One other thing I would suggest to viewers (unless I missed you saying it), is to back up your data, before starting this process.

      Thank you, the risers were already installed, but yeah sometimes you may need to add some or remove some.

    Thanks for sharing. I’ve been thinking about doing the exact same change over. Did you find the thermal take case had vibrations and rattles in it when it warmed up? Think the lian li looks like a better case and would be nice to know exactly how it’s all pieced together by doing it myself.

    • @BuildsWithV
      @BuildsWithV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine didn't have any weird noise and was a decent case but this Lian Li case is definitely the better case. It's always fun to experiment and learn

    • @ByronTrzeciak
      @ByronTrzeciak 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BuildsWithV I identified that where the gaps are in the front panel, for the air flow, there's two plastic slide in strips that protect the gaps from dust. When the fans rev up it's make them rattle. I've just pulled them out. There's a bit more gap but i couldn't handle the rattle. I'll still go to the lian li, it's just a sexy looking case. Thanks for the response. Alot of inspiration from your build.

    Could you try do part comparisons / tastings. This could bring more people to your youtube channel as alot of people can't decide what part they want because they may not know which is better or more worth the price. Also it could help you upload a bit more regularly because it won't cost as much to make the video as you won't be having to buy the parts to build a whole pc, only one or two. Other than that your doing good 😁

    Was your rear exhaust fan and top exhaust fans blowing air in? I'm talking about before you took it apart. I only ask because it looks like the round stickers that are considered the framed side and that's when you feel air coming at you so it seemed like you had all your fans blowing air in. I'm probably completely wrong because you seem smart and I've never used those fans before.

    • @BuildsWithV
      @BuildsWithV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The old case had the rear fan and the top two fans as exhaust. You're correct that the air exhausts through the framed side of the fans but the framed side in my case was facing out of the case. Hope this makes sense.

      Yeah you can do it but you might need some fan splitters or a fan hub. Also you will need an rgb hub if your fans have rgbs. Keep in mind the type of RGBs you use since there are different ones out there like the 5v ARGB or the 12v rgb. Also make sure your motherboard has a specific RGb header. The easiest way would be to open your case and see if you can see the brand and model of your motherboard and just look it up. Otherwise you can check, If it has only 1 or 2 gpu slots then you have either a mini itx or a micro ATX. If it has 3-4 gpu slots then you probably have a normal ATX board. You could also probably measure it and look at other dimensions.

    • @iMidnight_
      @iMidnight_ 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Id say its better off building a pc as prebuilts from hp and other manufacturers have different proprietary mounts built for each pc so it may not be compatible with an atx case and sometimes some cables are a certain length and may not reach so you may run into some difficulties.
