Hey dude. I just wanted to say that you should not orient your CPU cooler that way. you DO NOT want the lines which connect to the radiator to be above the CPU pump unit. This ends up with air settling at the end of the lines in the radiator and your pump will suck that air in and it will ruin the pump over time. For someone who claims to know about PCs this is pretty bad advice.
@@haze657 as this is a high end aio, this doesn’t actually matter the pump will not suck in air. The only problem you could have is air getting trapped at the top of the rad which can cause a little bit of noise
That negative air pressure, the AIO will not be doing all that well its fighting for air flow and the entire setup will be sucking in massive dust through the back of the case....DO not do this you are going to get poor thermals due to vortexing airflow in the case. In this config- Top Mount -3x Exhaust , Side mount - 2x Intake, Bottom - 3x Intake, Back Mount - 1x Exhaust. If you want it too look pretty invest in some "reverse blade" fans for the bottom and the side, If you are watercooling EKWB makes a distro plate for the front but the fans on the side will have to be mounted on the backside so you have the room in the 7 slot config. Also SFX PSU, the ASUS ROG Loki 850watt Plat is perfect for this case, the only cable I could see being a problem would be the 600watt GPU12pin connector as you do not want a sharp bend in the wiring.
Gonna be hard fitting anything past a 4090 in the future. Hope Lian li revisit the mini by making it a tad bigger to accommodate 50 series cuz an 5080 I doubt would fit in at all
Update to this comment.. I got my Dynamic case about a month ago and holy cow is it easy to build it, I cannot stress this enough. Cable management was a breeze. The case itself has no sharp edges. It is nice and compact enough to fit on my desk with 2 ultra-wide monitors. 10/10 would recommend. Also, the white color is super classy ;)
I built my PC in the same case (black) 2 weeks ago. The big difference is that I have installed my 280 AIO watercooling on intake (pull) so the fins get fresh air from the outside. And as I have installed 2 120mm intake fans at the bottom that push fresh air directly on my GPU, it isn't affected by the hot air from the watercooling. I have 2 140mm fans at the top and one 120mm fans at the back for the exhaust and it is fine like that. specs : Mobo : B550 Aorus Elite CPU : Ryzen 7 3700X RAM : Corsair Vengeance LPX 2 x 16Go 3200MHz GPU : Aorus 5700XT AIO : BeQuiet Pure Loop 280 with 2 DeepCool CF140 fans on it Bottom and back fans : Deepcool CF120 Top fans : BeQuiet Pure Wings 2 140 (from the AIO originally but I swapped themp for aethetical reasons) PSU : Cooler Master V750 SFX Gold
I'm thinking about re casing my computer with this. Its a good size for people with 240 or 280 mm radiators that fit against the back next to the motherboard.
The way you put the fans in it is negative pressure which is more exhaust than intake meaning you will draw in more dust which isn't good. Should be either balanced, that is equal intake and exhaust or positive pressure meaning more intake than exhaust. The fans on the radiator should be the other way round.
is it bad to do intake top and bot and exhaust from rear and side of the aio ? im thinking i shouldnt intake from the aio but i really prefer to intake from bottom so im a little bit confused about it , not sure whats the optimal
@@ecosti Intake bottom and side, exhaust top and rear. On the AIO it is better to push the air through the radiator if it is at the side or the front of the case but then if it is at the side you won't see the RGB of the fans unless you do a push pull config. Next best option is to do a pull config so you can see the RGB of the fans if intake at the side. If in the roof you exhaust air through the radiator. You don't do intake if installed in the roof of the case, that would be counter productive. If you have more intake than exhaust, say 5 intake and 4 exhaust that is positive pressure. You can tweak the fan settings to balance it out, it will take a while and well it isn't really worth the effort.
Broll at the end convinced me to subscribe. Nice video tho bro just got the case, daisy chain fans and an sfx psu just need to put it all together now so excited
I used the NZXT Z790 with a 280 MM Arctic AIO, with this mobo you have to use a 90 degree angle adapter in order for the USB3 port to fit on 280mm radiators. Not fun finding that out mid build lol.
Nice vid ! Shouldn’t the cpu fans be set to intake instead of exhaust? Building this one soon and wasn’t sure which way the cpu cooler fans should be facing
Pull is better or push having the fans on the other side of the radiator. I heard there can be a 8 degree difference on radiators pulling air through the radiator to pushing hot air through out the case. Not sure there is any benefit to having a push/pull set up. Also he has the fans set to negative pressure which will cause more dust to enter the case. Should be either balanced(equal intake and exhaust) or positive(more intake than exhaust).
Thanks man, I haven’t built a PC in 10 years and have forgotten how to do things. Just missing the GPU, CPU, and motherboard. Bright side is I’ve installed everything else
I have seen some build with this case. People are using bigger PSU not the size recommend. Can you confirm that you can use a bigger one or a 1000w psu that would fit
In lian li mini, I plan to have 3 bottom intake, 3 side intake, top 3 exhaust. Radiator I plan to have on the side 240mm. Radiator tubes will be at the top. Now for pump tubes (the circle) should I have them below the AIO pump or the side of the AIO pump (white circle)?
Hey JD one question, Im looking into building a similar setup, 100i capellix (2 fans) + 6 unifans, how do you connect everything? I guess you connect all the 6 unifans into lianli controller and then use the corsair controller for the corsair fans.
Hey @JDTechGear do you know if Lian Li make any RGB strips that’ll be compatible with this case? I noticed they make the Lancool II strips but unsure if they’ll fit/work with it.
thank you very much for this video!! so much great info to help me prepare for my build. I have seen some others sort of 'custom mount' their 360 AIO Cooler to act as exhaust on the top of the case(where you had put your exhaust fans)...then also using the side mount(where you put your 240AIO) to put 3 intake fans for more intake fans than exhaust. My question to anyone is... is one configuration necessarily "better" than another? Or are there any preferences when it comes to having more/less intake than exhaust fans? Any help is appreciated, thanks!
It's fine to have it as exhaust. It would be preferable for intake however, that would mean mounting the rad to the bottom of the case and having the pump above it. That would cause a significant drop in longevity and performance since it would be forming air pockets in the pump.
Ok quick question cause I’m new to pc building, I was planning on pc swapping my case. And I was tryna put some upgrades like the cooler and fans. My pc is a MSI - Aegis SE 10th Gaming Desktop. Can you fit a 280mm aio in the case where you have yours with an atx motherboard because I literally just got a 280mm aio and it doesn’t fit in my case

I have a question, for what I'm seeing you have 5 exhaust fans vs 3 intake fans. Are they running at different speeds or how are you managing to get positive pressure in your case? I want to build something similar.
how did you make the addressable rgb work with the motherboard i have the same motherboard an i cant figure out how to make the Argb work with this mobo

Temps are bad lol, i sold this case because of that, your AIO should be mounted as intake but that wouldn't look good so by using it as a exhaust temps get worse.
