The Mrd packs are European. It says on the back of the pack Printed In Belgium. They are from 2008-2010 as the logo is around then. They will probably have the Mrd-e000 code which is a bummer..

How can you tell if booster packs themselves have been resealed? I want to get packs from older sets, even if unlimited, just to open old packs but I am worried about packs being resealed.
Is there anything I should check on booster packs like Invasion of Chaos, and such to determine if the pack is resealed?

Wow Ruxin. I'm sorry that happened. Our community is to good for people like the person who tried to scam you or the guy you got them from to be able to do this. We don't need stains like that in our beautiful Yugioh community.

hey dude, i was thinking of buying a sealed case from ebay but it looks similar to this one, very tight seal, but seller is 132star 100%.... would you be able to look at it and see if its fishy, not going to buy anyway but curious.

The lines in the wrap comes from the boxes being stacked on top and under each other after the wrap is heated

I really wish it was easier to get the older packs that I grew up with. I honestly don't like a lot of the newer stuff. Great video as always, I've been watching for a few weeks and I really enjoy your reactions to opening older sets like LOB or IOC.

The wrapping in that MRD is too new as you said. No matter how well stored it was, the film will get stretched and "weak" with time. And that's before seeing the actual packs... that's too sad, honestly. Good thing the seller let you pay them afterwards, let's hope he can accept it and solve it properly! Let's hope they're not scaled at least. Nice save right there!

I just looked...and they would've likely been resealed in 2004-05 at the earliest, since that's when the red Konami banner was first applied. Latest it could've been sealed was 2011...but it's most likely from 2005, since that's when Metal Raiders packs were most abundant, in that style.

I think the word you were searching for was crinkled wrapping? If it crinkled then it's not resealed.

weirdest reseal iv seen
one time for me I found a loose 1st edition toon chaos blister and was thinking I scored. Took it home and opened it and the first card was call of the haunted and I was like "huh, didnt think that was in there" then the next was a deskbot....
inspected the pack and saw a melt line on the bottom of the blister and the glue on the seam of the pack
ALWAYS CHECK before buying
once i saw that wrapping on the metal raiders i honestly felt it was resealed! the wrapping on old box usually have the crinckles on the side or is semi loose. but maybe the title made me think that way if i saw the box i wonder if i would have any doubts from the gecko. Also one big big indicator is the box has dents in it on the back BUT the wrapping has no wear usually a box almost can never have a small dent/crease without the original wrapping taking some hits

You can seal something and have it not be tight my work had a machine that seals package and if you don't heat it as much it is not as tight

Hope you'll get a very strong price discount on the metal raiders box. I think that back in the days konami didn't care too much about their products (see for examples the promos not sealed in the 2002-2005\6 tin) and those booster boxes without the logo on the box plastic.
Metal raiders is overshadowed by lob but it has just as many classic cards if not more than lob
I think it has more than any other sets than the original

battle of legend armageddon Not sure if Konami switched the secret to the back of the booster pack, but the first two boxes I have ordered didn’t have that. The outside plastic packaging was loose and had small holes in the top. I noticed on each pack that there were small holes a bit to the right of the middle and while flipping the middle there was a tiny hole to “maybe” release air from a repack. Seems like my booster box it was tampered with. Of course everyone is after the two evolutionary lottery cards.

Those are definitely 2010 LC packs...you can tell by the foil effect on the pack and the lack of ratios/Upper Deck logo on the packs.

At least the LOB isn't resealed. I'm purchasing a "factory sealed" 2006 Neos tin and stuff like this has me really worried because I want that mint promo and being sealed is very important for that lol. I know it's not nearly the same price though so it's probably fine. Love the videos though and hopefully I'll be able to join in on some of your box breaks soon.
I have some 5Ds sealed product, this is Why i dont get into the older yugioh stuff, because i am scared of getting scammed because i dident grow up with these boxes and could not tell the difference. This is an informative video in a way, so thanks Ruxin!

The Metal Raiders Display is resealed that is such a bummer.
If you measure the pecks with a micrometer you can easily tell a thicker ones have foil

Even for people (like myself) who arent knowledgeable about the different types of skrinkwrap, just seeing scratches/residues underneath the wrap is a pretty dead giveaway because it meant someone had it sitting for a while, accumulating dust, and didnt properly clean it before resealing it
