Hell PSA even grades misprints worse just because they are misprints but are in fact worth much more because of that misprint. So yeah send your cards in until you got that 9 or 10 it will happen sooner or later as long as the cards didnt run a military field exam.

That is so awesome. As a kid I could only ever pull Exodia limbs. I always wanted to get the whole set but I didn’t know anyone who had the 3 pieces I needed!

I ended up selling them like 10 years later as I don't play anymore but the memories are clear as day. I just discovered they reprinted LOB packs. I might have to go find some to relive this once again!
I remember I used to duel saturday mornings at books-a-million, and I had enough money for one 1st edition pack of lob one time, I was so stoked, my uncle was really into the game at the time and gave me book value for it which I remember was a crisp 100 dollar bill at the time, he still has that card actually.

Not sure if you know already knew this, some of the older packs would have a very subtle marking (eg, black/red dot in yugi's hair/face/cheek) to indicate it has a holo inside. This isn't always the case, but I personally did with holo packs from my magic ruler box. Try scanning over them to see if you could find any markings. Awesome vid btw!

When I was a kid back when yugioh came out I collected a ton of them and I never wanted to play with them I’ve always been a collector, I have like 12 blue eyes probably 6 red eyed blacks and all sorts of cards in never played with condition plus lots of other cards from those sets I have no idea what it all would be worth.

John Wright I am clearly about views.. that is why I have had a channel for over 2 years with over 250 videos and almost all of them have under 1k views. Stop kidding yourself man, I do this for the love of the hobby, not for money. Nobody would open an LOB box to make money, because it almost never happens. How in the world could I plan my pull from a sealed box? Also- in reference to resealing stuff. I am a well known seller on Instagram, have 100% feedback on both eBay and TCGPlayer, and have never had an incident as a seller.
This is why I always preferred collecting Pokemon and Yugioh cards; they're surprisingly valuable assets whereas playing the actual games physically is a huge liability (sleeves, driving to tournaments, paying tournament fees, etc.)

the design of the old cards are so much cooler. The design had lower resolution making them more simple and easier for the eye to understand the image and also the monsters seems to be more zoomed instead of the todays monsters!
You could have opened the first 4 packs from either side, when you open the first holo, count 4 down two times, and the holos are mirrored on the other side. Secret rare was bottom left. I did thia on all my boxes until it was switched up. Great opening. I watched 1st edition LOB boxes being put on the shelves. ❤

My favorite pack pulling memory was when I won a sealed pack tournament at my local mall when I was 13. 1st prize was the gold binder collection with 6 promo cards and 1 of the 1st six packs in the series. The LOB pack had a Tri-Horned Dragon and the MRD pack had a Gate Guardian. Not 1st edition, unfortunately but I still have those in near mint to this day. I could not believe my ridiculous luck to pull 2 secrets in 6 packs.

I checked out the video the day it was posted, and I don't remember seeing the last part of the title. Maybe I didn't see it though, but that's good because I was surprised as well when you pulled the Red--Eyes on the last pack. That last pack had some magic. I felt for you because the pulls were not the greatest, but that last holo pull sure did make up for it. It would have kind of sucked to pull an Exodia limb for the last ultra, considering what else you already got. This was a Legendary opening, and I want to say thank you for allowing this video to happen.
I changed the title after the first day to make it easy to search. Actually the pulls were very very good. 3 of my supers (2 polys and flame swordsman) are in the top 3 supers in the set. Monster Reborn is a mid tier ultra and Red-Eyes is the second best card in the set. Not to mention I got a Pot of Greed and 3 Trial of Hells. Overall, this box was stacked. Thanks man, it was fun!
I just stumbled upon this video today so Im a bit late to reply, not sure how involved you were with Yugioh back in the early early days, but unfortunately this is how the boxes/packs were. It was a nightmare trying to pull anything higher than a rare back then, and even when you did it was still very rare to get something valuable to use/play with honestly. It wasn't until a few years ago that Konami increased the pull rate of foils in their packs, because getting only a rare-value card per pack was overwhelmingly disappointing. But it was really fun watching your box opening regardless! A lot of nostalgia!
Well I know back when I was in the game I ran a Exodia Chaos deck that at that eventually got destroyed by the ban list 40 cars deck of which at 1 point 25 cards were on the ban list. At one point I was trying to work to shift out the cards for 1st edition orginal set versions and I had replaced a lot of the cards Monster Reborn, Pot Of Greed, Painful Choice, a couple of the Limbs of Exodia, Chaos Emperor Dragon, Black Luster Soilder, Dark Magician of Chaous, Dimension Fusion, Monster Reincarnation. While every card was from the orginal set that they came from I hadn't gotten my hands on all of them 1st edition. I have since lost all my cards but even if I still had those cards they still wouldn't have much value as the cards were definitely well played with and would not have graded well at all.
Under Rated Projects i did tho i remember most of these in great condition in a binder straight to the trash along with my mtg/pokemon collection didnt think they were worth anything 🤦🏿♂️
Each to their own, I don’t see any point at all in keeping sealed product, yes it will go up in value over time but you could find a thousand things that make a much better investment than yugioh product
Worst part is: Once when we moved homes my mother did throw away all the stuff she believed her son does not need anymore. She throw away my Yu-Gi-Oh card Deck which was the only thing i wanted to keep from my Yugioh times.....there was Red Eyes first edition in there aswell. MOM ! I need my 3k back !

They’re really on valuable if they’re PSA graded 9/10. Other than that, wouldn’t be worth the time trying to sell. Plus, he’s only posting EBay sales and not the actual value of the cards.

Scaling is only scummy if you do scummy things with the light packs. Otherwise, there is no reason to open every pack of such a rare set. The Pokemon community literally scales every single box and sells the packs as light and heavy. Its actually a lot more transparent than guessing from every seller whether or not the packs have been scaled

I checked out the video the day it was posted, and I don't remember seeing the last part of the title. Maybe I didn't see it though, but that's good because I was surprised as well when you pulled the Red--Eyes on the last pack. That last pack had some magic.
I felt for you because the pulls were not the greatest, but that last holo pull sure did make up for it. It would have kind of sucked to pull an Exodia limb for the last ultra, considering what else you already got. This was a Legendary opening, and I want to say thank you for allowing this video to happen.
I changed the title after the first day to make it easy to search.
Actually the pulls were very very good. 3 of my supers (2 polys and flame swordsman) are in the top 3 supers in the set. Monster Reborn is a mid tier ultra and Red-Eyes is the second best card in the set. Not to mention I got a Pot of Greed and 3 Trial of Hells. Overall, this box was stacked.

I just stumbled upon this video today so Im a bit late to reply,
not sure how involved you were with Yugioh back in the early early days, but unfortunately this is how the boxes/packs were. It was a nightmare trying to pull anything higher than a rare back then, and even when you did it was still very rare to get something valuable to use/play with honestly. It wasn't until a few years ago that Konami increased the pull rate of foils in their packs, because getting only a rare-value card per pack was overwhelmingly disappointing.
But it was really fun watching your box opening regardless! A lot of nostalgia!

Well I know back when I was in the game I ran a Exodia Chaos deck that at that eventually got destroyed by the ban list 40 cars deck of which at 1 point 25 cards were on the ban list. At one point I was trying to work to shift out the cards for 1st edition orginal set versions and I had replaced a lot of the cards Monster Reborn, Pot Of Greed, Painful Choice, a couple of the Limbs of Exodia, Chaos Emperor Dragon, Black Luster Soilder, Dark Magician of Chaous, Dimension Fusion, Monster Reincarnation. While every card was from the orginal set that they came from I hadn't gotten my hands on all of them 1st edition. I have since lost all my cards but even if I still had those cards they still wouldn't have much value as the cards were definitely well played with and would not have graded well at all.
The lightest pack in the box is the best one

Each to their own, I don’t see any point at all in keeping sealed product, yes it will go up in value over time but you could find a thousand things that make a much better investment than yugioh product

Yes, if you have the 1st edition version then they are valuable! The unlimiteds not as much
They’re really on valuable if they’re PSA graded 9/10. Other than that, wouldn’t be worth the time trying to sell.

Scaling is only scummy if you do scummy things with the light packs. Otherwise, there is no reason to open every pack of such a rare set.
The Pokemon community literally scales every single box and sells the packs as light and heavy. Its actually a lot more transparent than guessing from every seller whether or not the packs have been scaled

Hey what is the difference between the Yugi and Kaiba original starters and the reloaded starters released in 2013? Are there big differences visually?
Can you do a video going over how to eye grade cards, i have no idea about centring etc.. - just got back into yughio cards i have some from 2002 and trying to find out which are worth anything.
