I love your mods. I found your channel when I was looking for ideas for my 23 Outback onyx. But then I got more inspired by your camping vids and will be going out more as a result. Thank you! I learn tons from your channel, more than most others I watch, and I appreciate what you do. And Scottie says hi to Pepper.
Beautiful Subaru!!This car comes from the heart, a lot of attention to sensible details with very good taste. Thank you for a calm and very confident video!!
Great video. The best thing about mods is that it makes your car your own. I have a 2016 Crosstrek with 200,000 miles and many mods similar to yours and I’m ready to retire it. Seriously looking at the Wilderness Crosstrek. You have a super nice car. Keep bringing these great videos. Be well..be safe.
Wow I love how that looks! I’m not a huge fan of the outback wilderness styling in general but you really made it look great. The wheels and tires I think made a huge difference more than most any of your other mods. Liked and subbed!
Great videos - thank you for putting them together. Picked up a 24 OBW last weekend and your channel has given us so many ideas on what to accessorize our car with. And 100% agree, that piano black center console is bonkers... Time to get some carbon fiber wrap material! 👍👍
I got lots of ideas from your videos, so thank you! I did have one possibly useful tip for you- there is a company called Cascadia 4x4 that makes lightweight very durable solar panels that go on top of your hood, and run power directly to your battery. It would help protect your outback against the worry of draining your battery. I have one on my Forester.
I’ve never owned a Subaru and in all honesty thought they were “wannabe adventure vehicles.” This build is SICK and has changed my view. Love all that you’ve done and can’t to check out the other mod clips. Any thoughts at putting lockers in? I feel like even though this is no rock crawler, it still may very well be worth the time.
Thank you very much! I tried. I don't think I need a locker just yet. I am mostly on forest roads and it's been great. Might think about it when I put her through more difficult terrain.
Love all the mods! Thanks for sharing. My wife and I enjoy your videos from Florida. The Outback wilderness is our first Subaru as well, and I can’t wait to mod it. 😊 subscribed
What a great overall video covering all your mods. I’m totally jealous in a good way! You’re so correct - so many of these companies are having awesome holiday deals. Now is the time to take advantage. I bought the WeatherTech shades- they fit like a glove and store nicely under my x-ped air mattress. You got me hooked on getting the tint job. Can’t wait to see your 2024 mods. Enjoy your Christmas brother! Would love to meet up once I head West next year. 🤙
Thank you for sharing your Subaru Outback build. I have the touring version XT. I've been hearing a lot of rumors that Subaru will be bringing back the Brat or Baja in late 2025.
Okay, I have a couple things I’d like to suggest... I sleep in my OBW all the time and I love the Visual Autowerks window vents to prevent condensation in my car. (I even installed little 50mm computer fans to circulate air, and it’s all kept completely dry by my OEM wind deflectors.) Also, I tell everyone I work with that my Her Necklace grill lights come on because my camera has a motion detector and is watching them. It works! Lastly, my Perrin shift knob is a GAMECHANGER for me. I absolutely love it. It serves absolutely no purpose, but it feels nice.
I’m eyeing a 2024 OB Wilderness and have started looking for mods that I could do(outside of tire change, roof rack and weboost). So this is a great reference, def the lights. Thanks!
Awesome vid! Got a 22 forester I’ve been slowing making more capable. Wanted the wilderness but it was out of my price range. Thanks fully I work at a car shop so I’ll be doing an Ironman lift soon.
Looks great! Excited for new trips. Has a 2016 Tacoma then a 2013 Prius V (got totaled) Rocking a 2017 Highlander now and excited for my road trip in November Granted 22-23MPG with v6 hybrid isn’t great but can fit my foam mattress in the back
Hi. Great video. Really like what you done to modify it. I am thinking of getting a Wilderness as well. Has yours been reliable? Any issues with the CVT transmission? I heard they can have issues.
I need to catch up on your videos always love and appreciate your videos and family adventures that is a beautiful outback, Subaru should use your car as their prime example of what the outback can be god bless you and your family
great video. i wish this would be possible in germany too :) half of your modifications would get me in trouble with the law (for some reason). very reasonable is your screen protection and interior wraping might do this as well. thx for this content - love the camping stuff also.
I have an xt outback. I might trade up in the next couple years but idk. Curious to see it when you put the lift on it. Looks awesome! Thanks for the video
Thanks, a lot of good tips. I put an Ironman 4x4 lift on my SOB. I like it. Tires - yeah, you just can't put very big tires on the OB. Even with 3PMSnowflake rating, I carry some snow socks... socks won't tolerate any rubbing though.
wow, you did a very nice job on this outback, you are prepared as if for war, I love Subaru, I drive a 1st gen Crosstrek here in Cyprus, imported straight from Japan and I liked it so much that I don't think about a new one best regards and have fun🌲🤝
Hello. Love your videos. So professional and intimate. I just purchased a Wilderness. I am blown away by all the improvements you have made to your rig. I have one question. I recently visited a dealer in the Northwest. I inquired about changing to larger tires. The service rep. told me that changing to a larger tire can screw up all the settings to the vehicle. Did the tire change you made cause any issues for you?
Nice! Relativley, this is supercheap stuff compared to 4WD vehicles and what people do to their outlanding vehicle. Your result looks perfect for most people! How did you know how to do the electronics? Did you teach yourself or have prior training?
Those wheels and tire set are what I’m looking for - QQ: with the 20mm offset does that mean you don’t have wheel spacers? I used some 20mm spacers to get the same wider stance so hoping I won’t need them if I get the LP1’s 20mm offset :)
Great video, great looking Outback. I’ll have to look into Yakima now for roof rack mounted accessories, they look more sturdy than other options. I’m curious if 235 tires would get rid of the rubbing.
Any changes to the backup lights or interior lights to LED? I know people do the backup lights because it makes the backup camera clearer in the night.
You've got the light bar fixed in the front 'recovery' points? I was looking to do that as well but Subaru says that using those points for anything will delay airbag opening in the event of an accident. I wonder what that would do to car insurance.
Thank you. I was also considering that too but I went with the Subaru because it's slightly bigger and has proven offroad capability. plus was planning to move to PNW and every time I used to visit PNW, I saw so many Subarus compared to other states so I figured it was the appropriate car to get. LOL
Informative vid... I just purchased a '12 outback 3.6R Limited... Stock wheels are 225/60/17...without a lift do you think I'd be able to put on the Baja Boss 245/65/17 with a narrower offset? I like the stance your OB has but I'm concerned about rubbing issues over time. Thanks for any advice you or your followers may have. ✌️
Thanks for the comprehensive video. Quick question. Does the magnetic phone holder affect the screen protector at all? It looks like you have it attached on top with no issue. Just wanted to check before I installed both in my whip. Cheers!

What a truly amazing breakdown of everything you've done. Thanks for spending all the time on this.

That 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness is a beast!
Wow I love how that looks! I’m not a huge fan of the outback wilderness styling in general but you really made it look great. The wheels and tires I think made a huge difference more than most any of your other mods. Liked and subbed!
Thank you!! appreciate your support! and yes, the wheels and tires made the most difference; it was the first big upgrade I made to the car.
One of these best videos. Very thorough and informative! Exactly what I was looking for!
Thanks, glad you found it helpful!
Screen protector would be a game changer! The fingerprints on the glossy screen and the glare are one of my pet peeves with my Forester Wilderness.
yes they are!
Man!!! IT looks amazing!!! One of the best Subaru Ever! Great job!!!
Thank you! Much appreciated 🙏
You do an amazing job showcasing what is possible to do with a vehicle to get the most out of it! Thank you!🎉
Thank you! Hope it helps you out~
I have a Jl Rubicon overland build. Your Subaru build is probably the coolest non Jeep build I’ve seen. Mad respect man, well done 👍🏻
Thank you very much! I apperciate it.
And half 1/3 of the price
That carbon fiber wrap definitely elevates the aesthetic of the touch points especially for something that gets dirty from use. Nicely done man
Thank you! I Love dry carbon fiber look!

first off, congratulations on your purchase and I am glad I was able to help out!~ if you have any questions, feel free to ask anytime.
I e been considering the Outback but this vid locked it in! Your mods make it even cooler than a 4Runner when you consider the Toyota tax
Thanks for the compliment! You can't beat the utility of the Outback!

really, now I gotta look into that~ thanks for the recommendation.
What about glare issues?? 🤔
Bro, outstanding video! The Subi is looking great, keep pumping them out. We really need to plan a meet and greet someday. 🤙🏼
Thank you! and meet and greet sounds good to me!! if I am ever in your area, I will definitely hit you up!
@ChasingAdventuresCO Likewise brother.
I love this video. I also bought a 2022 Forester Wilderness. I might do the same setup like yours. I love the simplicity.
Thank you. Yeah, it should work well on the forester
If the wilderness ever comes to Australia this would be my ideal modifications.
I hope they do!

Nice in-depth video of your outback. Nicely done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks, Cool Namja!!
I've seen a few people build out their subarus. Honestly pretty cool to see more and more of it.
Thank you.
Excellent build brother. Can't wait for the lift kit!

Okay, I have a couple things I’d like to suggest... I sleep in my OBW all the time and I love the Visual Autowerks window vents to prevent condensation in my car. Nice! All great suggestions and the absolute no purpose mods are some of the best mods because it make you feel good~~ 😉
This is one sick looking Outback and all i heard was money money money till the end 😂 . I wish one day i will own one
Thanks and it took a while for me to outfit it as is.
Bad ass build, dopest Subie I've ever seen! 👍
Thank you very much!
I just got my black wilderness, love your channel! Going to try the carbon wrap modifications
Congratulations!! You should definitely do it!
I’m convinced he has hidden machine gun and rockets hidden somewhere on that Subaru lol

How’s the wind noise been from the window rain guards and the crossbars?
Surprisingly, there is none.

Great looking Outback and thanks for sharing. Do you have a part number for the awning mounts. Those are the best ones I’ve seen! Thanks again.
Thanks and the mount came with the awning. I don't know if they sell just the mount.
Those high plies mean less flex at equally low pressure. You want soft, flexy sidewalls...so long as you don't puncture.
these have good flex to them and handle very well in all terrains! I feel very confident to run them on any type of terrains
Nice man.. great choice of mods to compliment each other and your needs!
Thank you!
Go with ADF skid plate. I used CAtuned front brush bar which is great. Vantru cam looks good.
Thanks for your suggestion and the CAtuned brush bar does looks good and love the simplicity of it.
Been looking forward to this video, great stuff as always!
glad you like it~!
Soooooo glad I clicked on this. I'm not a fan of the shifter, it's a finger print magnet. How's the wrap holding up?
glad you enjoyed it! the wrap is holding up just fine~ it was worth the long, tedious hours applying the vinyl.
It looks really good 👍🏼 congratulations mine is different but similar to yours mine is the 2021
Appreciate it! It's a fun car to modify.
Gorgeous Subie. Can’t wait to see what else you do to it!
Thank you! I am pretty satisfied with the current setup. Maybe an cold air intake?
Hi. Great video. Really like what you done to modify it. I am thinking of getting a Wilderness as well. Has yours been reliable? Any issues with the CVT transmission? I heard they can have issues.
Thank you! Mine has been great to me without any issues. CVT transmission is working fine too without any issues
3:27 Subarus used to come with a built in tray from factory! My 2006 Impreza Wagon has one but my 2011 Legacy just had a cover like yours
right, I don't understand why..

Perfect video, as it answered all of the questions I had.. Thank You!!

Awesome build! See you on the trails 😎
Thanks! see you~!
Great video with lot of inspiraton for my new Outback Field👍
Great to hear! Thank you!
Nice! Relativley, this is supercheap stuff compared to 4WD vehicles and what people do to their outlanding vehicle. Your result looks perfect for most people! How did you know how to do the electronics? Did you teach yourself or have prior training?
Well said! and yes, I thought my self on TH-camversity~ LOL
Really like this dude, nice set up, handy and looks really good ✌️🤘
Thank you! 😊
Hahaha I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw 38th St Tacoma. Love the vid for that alone. U local?
Hi! Yes I am local. You also in Tacoma?
What do you recommend for rock sliders
I got aFe Powers rock sliders th-cam.com/video/VeU915l9CaU/w-d-xo.html seems pretty good.
Awesome video! Awesome looking Subaru ! As well.
Thank you very much!
All those lights are cool... But what about the battery and alternator
it's fine.
Love the mods, will be doing some of the same mods to my outback.
Thanks! Go for it!
Wow! Thank you for the ideas.
Glad I could be of help~!
What a highly functional & practical/fun adventure vehicle. Props2U🙏🔥
Thank you for your compliment!
great video! why not mount the light remote control in the drop drown coin tray on left side of dash? give it some james bond flair haha
Haha. That would be cool and I also thought about that but I didn't want anything permanent
Unlocked every outback wilderness achievement
haha, Thanks!!
Awesome Video! Very informative. Thank you for this.
Thank you and appreciate it 🙏
Incredible video! Does the space for the spare fit a full size tire? Thanks!!
Thank you and Yes it did come with a full size spare and to fit my current tires, I had to air down
the orbis molle. did it come with the straps when you bought it?
yes, it comes with one long strap so I had to cut them to tie down top and bottom
Those wheels and tire set are what I’m looking for - QQ: with the 20mm offset does that mean you don’t have wheel spacers? I used some 20mm spacers to get the same wider stance so hoping I won’t need them if I get the LP1’s 20mm offset :)
Yes, you do not need spacers and that's the same reason why I got the 20mm offset wheels
Really nice Wilderness 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you!~ 😊
Great video, great looking Outback. I’ll have to look into Yakima now for roof rack mounted accessories, they look more sturdy than other options.
I’m curious if 235 tires would get rid of the rubbing.
Thanks and Yakima is a better choice I think altho Thule has better looking Cargo boxes and if you get 235, it should have any rubbing issues
GREAT looking Outback .
Thank you!
Any changes to the backup lights or interior lights to LED? I know people do the backup lights because it makes the backup camera clearer in the night.
No, I haven't changed it. For me it's bright enough and the back up camera works well in the dark
Great build 🙌🏽
How much did this project cost you ?
Thank you. I don't even want to be reminded, but I think all in all, it was around 7k
Love your content, i just purchased the same Subaru outback wilderness, question with those rims and tires did you buy a lift kit so they can fit?
Thank you. I am riding on factory suspension
You've got the light bar fixed in the front 'recovery' points? I was looking to do that as well but Subaru says that using those points for anything will delay airbag opening in the event of an accident. I wonder what that would do to car insurance.
Hmm, never thought about it. Now I am wondering too.
Great video! Been itching for mods on my 22 OBW.
Thanks! Should do it!!
Good looking rig. Trying to decide between the 2024 Mazda CX-50 turbo or the 2024 Outback Wilderness myself.
Thank you. I was also considering that too but I went with the Subaru because it's slightly bigger and has proven offroad capability. plus was planning to move to PNW and every time I used to visit PNW, I saw so many Subarus compared to other states so I figured it was the appropriate car to get. Informative vid... I just purchased a '12 outback 3.6R Limited... Stock wheels are 225/60/17...without a lift do you think I'd be able to put on the Baja Boss 245/65/17 with a narrower offset? Thank you and I've heard that you wont have any rubbing issues with the stock wheels and upto 35mm offset with 245 65 17
You should take a look at Ironman4x4’s ATS 2” long travel kit with heavy load coils to lift and deal with that weight.
great recommendation will look into that~
Planning to save up for the next year or two to buy a new Outback. Now I’ll need to save for these accessories as well 😛😍

I made the bar with aluminum angle, and its held on by the tow hooks but I wouldn't recommend it. it rattle too much.
