Very, very organized camping set-up. Without committing to an expensive full trailer. Nice set of equipment for those to see, then to begin their own research and start accumulating. Just too much ‘black’ though; needs more color. Good Job.
I’m here for Pepper, that distinguished gentleman 😊 I had a black poodle named Pepper as a kid. Great fun, lots of cool stuff. Only thing I didn’t love was that awesome cook set is aluminum. Another great video! I’m thinking of getting the same kampkeeper tent but what happens if you close your hatch while the tent is set up? Do you leave it open the entire time and just close the walls of the tent to sleep?
Thank you and it will drape down a bit but if you're not camping in the rain, it will be just fine. I normally just have the hatch open for support and close the tent doors while sleeping.
Did you disconnect the battery on the Outback? The battery would normally drain if you left the tailgate open, right? Would love to hear what you did! GREAT VIDEO!!
Yes, it would normally drain if you leave the hatch open, so bring the hatch close to closed position and use a key to close the latch and the car will think it is closed. Once you do that, you can open the hatch up manually. And use the key to unlatch it when done it. Hope that makes sense. I will make sure to show how I did it next time I car camp with the hatch open.
Another great video as always. I’m always worried about leaving the rear hatch open on my OBW due to reports of it possibly draining the battery. What do you do to fix that issue or is it really something to be concerned about.

Mission Mountain sucks when you need customer service. I had a cot leg break easily, I’m 175lbs. I called for 15 days during business hours and NEVER got an answer. I did get some unhelpful emails from Winnie. When I told her I needed to buy a cot leg, she sent me a list to fishing reel replacement parts. I told her that it wasnt right, she told me not to worry. But that was it! No corrected link, no part number, nothing. I gave her all the info she needed, answered at HER leisure and after 15 days worth of back and forth friendly emails, I’m no closer to solving my issue. I just threw the cot in the trash after hanging onto it thinking it’d be an easy replacement. It’s not worth the time or frustration. This has been on par with trying to cancel a cable contract. Disaster. BUYER BEWARE!
@@ChasingAdventuresCO Consider yourself lucky. My 2021 Outback began experiencing hard shifting at 34,000 miles. I was religiously allowing the dealer to perform all maintenance. At 40,000 th we shifting was so bad the car couldn’t be safely driven. Subaru couldn’t fix the CVT because they really aren’t repairable. I was forced to pay for an entire new CVT. $11,000. You’re all in for a surprise. This is common on Subaru.

How do you keep the tailgate open without draining the battery?
Glad you ask. th-cam.com/video/LcjkWe39pvA/w-d-xo.html
@@ChasingAdventuresCO Thanks, that was exactly what I needed. Also, thank you for making great content. I bought the KampKeeper tent after watching this video and I'll be trying it for the first time next week.
awesome! glad to hear it. hope you like it as much as I do.
❤
А ты ни как не фиксируешь заднюю дверь? Она с привобом или просто руками открывается и зкарывается?
It's electric, so it opens by itself, and I put a telescoping pool to support the hatch
@@ChasingAdventuresCO Так тент же может сломать привод двери
@@iljama no.. it needs to be attached to the car.
What cut of beef was that?

Oh no! Sorry to hear that!
I bet you cried too.
Жаль что в россии эти авто стоят не минуемых денег для обычных работяг, придется копить 4 года, так что на рыбалку буду ездить на своем civic 5d😂
It's a lot of money here, too! ~
Do people still trust these Subarus after all of their CVT issues? I don't.
Like what? I haven't had any issues with the CVT
@@kerplunk38880 oh wow. I am sorry to hear that. but you are still under the powertrain warranty period so I don't understand why you had to pay out of your pocket?
@@ChasingAdventuresCO Warranty was denied because they claimed it had taken it off road. Untrue. It’s never even been on a gravel road. Currently fighting in court.
That's not good.. hope you get it resolved in your favor right away!!
That tent setup is way too complicated and time consuming 4me.......especially in the rain. There are so many other ones much quicker to set up.
yes there are, but I was looking for a black tent and it is not too bad to set up
Too much work for one night. For 4 days or so, understandable...but you can't leave this kind of stuff unattended and the car unlocked, so useless for base camp for hikers. Also, you are eating IN your tent..as in: bears?!
Also, bees and mosquitoes? Looks like a sales demo to me😂
I do wish I could stay for more than one night but I only have 2 days off so gotta make the most out of it. No bears around here and bees or mosquitoes during colder days. sales demo? its for entertainment for you guys.
