With my head unit, there are + and - on the left side of the screen as volume up and down. Also on home screen, you can tap on the horn icon and adjust the volume from there. A remote control works too but might need wiring done. Let me know if it helps.
Idoing offered to send me a new cable but I thought about it. I already have two USB cables in the glove box anyway, don't really need to have the factory one retained.
Do you think it would work with factory reverse camera? Also, how did you make the factory usb connecter to make it work? Thanks for all the replies and appreciate your help man
@@minthulwin140809 I think the factory camera will be plug and play as well. Just to be sure, I think it would be better you can contact idoing media on IG. The connector for factory USB doesn't work Australian ones. At least it doesn't work with my 2013 86. Hope it helps, man
Hey max, I’m planning on buying this but does the plastic trim on the head unit itself come off? I have the suede interior so the piece around the original head unit is 1 long piece so I don’t know how I’d get this to work unless the plastic comes off the head unit. Thanks!
The head unit can be removed from the trim. It's being hold there by 4 screws I think. However, unlike the original head unit, being hold in place with brackets and 4 bolts. This one will need to be inside the trim piece provided to be able to be mounted.
@@maxbulkyhulk thank you so much I’m gonna order it and give it a go see if I can buy or make some type of bracket to get to to be held in place or even try attaching it the the trim I have and see if that works! Thanks again!
I believe it can do both wired and wireless android auto and carplay. I used android auto. For wireless connection, you will to pair Bluetooth with the headunit and start car link app( a green icon that comes with the headunit) and it should connect automatically. Let me know how it goes
Nice one mate. i want one
Hey Max, do you have any idea to fix volume function? I can neither increase or decrease the volume.

Did you have any problems with the front speaker?
No, all speakers work on my 86
How did you get the front speakers to work?
I think the 21 pin or 24 has all the speakers on it. Can't remember exactly. Mine is Australian. It doesn't have amps.
My front speakers also not working any suggestions what should i do?
Did they send you the USB retaining cable or did you buy it separately?
Idoing offered to send me a new cable but I thought about it. I already have two USB cables in the glove box anyway, don't really need to have the factory one retained.
Hey Max, my head unit stays on even when turning off the ignition, do you know what could be the issue?
There is an option in setting about what happens after ignition off. It might be a longer time on yours. Let me know how you go.
Do you know where exactly in settings it says this? I tried looking around and I never found it in the settings.
@@ZiggyZAE I might need to have a look on it after work. Get back to you soon
Did you use the harness that you used for joying head unit or did you remove that as well for idoing?
Idoing is plug and play. It plugs straight into the original Toyota harness. So yes, I removed joying harness for toyota

I’ve been searching for a headunit for my 2017 Toyota 86 I’m sold on this one
Did you figure out how to keep the head unit in place? My headunit didn’t want to lock in with the clips
In the end, I just put a little bit of electrical tape on the clips and it should work just fine with stock clips

Yeah man! Love idoing ! This is it. It s staying !
What trick did you do with the pins to get the headunit sit in tight? My pins keep coming of the headunit
Just make sure you hear a click when push in the connectors. Push them in all the way. Let me know how it goes
Did you ever figure it out?? I’m having same issue
How can you make the Panel "Buttons" glow all the time and Not only at night?
Honestly, the buttons are on since I have the headunit installed. Maybe have a look in the settings, see if yours is triggered by time or headligh
Will this work in my 2019 model BRZ?
I think it should work. Idoing has one for BRZ on AliExpress.
