My one came with all toyota/subaru harness and it`s plug and play. No additional hard wiring is required if that`s what you mean. After market reverse cameras might need to be wired.

The screen does get very close to wiper switch, but the switch is not touching the screen. I think on right hand drives like mine, these is a small gap like 1-2mm between the two. Not sure about all the twin on other side of world unfortunately.

Hi, just got time to actually measure the screen. It s about 300mmx150mm. For me as long as the screen doesn't block the air vents, it s good enough for me. I believe you can adjust screen heights by moving the four back clips that holds the screen in. Can only adjust up and down tho. Hope it helps.

@@javierico4462 Hi mate, don't think my 86 has a middle speaker. If you mean the two speakers on the dash or doors. They all work on mine. Even connecting to Android Auto.

Update: I still can’t get it to work despite trying multiple wire configurations. I thought I had it right a couple of times yet it didn’t work. Let me know if anyone gets it to work, otherwise I might just buy the joying reverse camera.

@@Tomskaa10 while in revers, tap the screen, go to the camera menu and choose ntfs, then go to general settings and turn off reverse camera ahd. u might need one change or both of the changes done

I think the Toyota 86/ brz harness has connectors for steering wheel control. Unfortunately my 86 is 2013 and doesn't have swc. I'd say send joying an email and confirm with them, just in case im wrong.

It s my pleasure. Volume button works as mute if pressed.

I believe you can. Can also set as parking monitor if I'm correct.

I think single din is mainly for older model vehicles. (Pre 2010 when cars come with only cd players, no screens). Let me know if you think otherwise

Hi Max, In the video i used NGK LZKR6B plugs. It was the cheapest at the time about AU$4 each and good for 60K Kms( according to the menu). Or you could go with Denso IXUH20I which is Iridium platinum. It`s good for 150k kms according to denso. A bit more expensive too. Let me know if I can help more.

Idoing offered to send me a new cable but I thought about it. I already have two USB cables in the glove box anyway, don't really need to have the factory one retained.

@@maxbulkyhulkjust installed it and i’m having a problem with the display. It takes 5 minutes for the display to turn on but the buttons and sound still work even tho the screen is black☹️

Mine don’t what you did? Mine is a brz 2016 I picked the head unit wit Toyota and brz logo. My Oem can reverse don’t work and door speakers don’t work . Also the usb original is no longer working so I guess is part of the installation.

I believe if it works for Android Auto, it works for Carplay. They are basically the same thing with different brand name.

Who has a problem with door speakers and Oem back up camera no signal . Or I’m missing hardware?

@@bumperxpert9564 for door speakers find settings for amp on or off something like that google it and for camera probably missing hardwer

It can be set in settings. I have it set to reduce volume when reverse.

@@angelruano5743I think you can wire speakers directly to the head unit. Just need to figur out the wiring. I`d say contact Joying directly. They are the expert. Their email is in description.

The head unit can be removed from the trim. It's being hold there by 4 screws I think. However, unlike the original head unit, being hold in place with brackets and 4 bolts. This one will need to be inside the trim piece provided to be able to be mounted.

Yes, just tested it this morning. While using android auto, you can make phone calls and use navigation apps at the same time. Music automatically stops tho.

Unfortunately this dash cam doesn't have built in battery. For it to work, a 12v power is required. The wire can be hidden behind A pillar, so it s really not that bad.

It was about 10 days from when it was sent till it showed up at my door.

Unfortunately my 2013 86 doesn't have factory backup camera. I have a aftermarket camera from joying. Stock camera should be plug and play with the canbus provided with the harness tho.

@@jayyalann I think for factory camera, you need to select Cvbs-N in reverse camera system. Does your harness has a canbus?

Indicators for mine is on the other side of the wheel. The screen is quite close to the wiper switch. I have no issues moving the switch up and down tho. Let me know if you have more questions about the head unit

It s reliable so far but nothing beats a Toyota

I'm sure it will fit bro. The screen and the head unit itself are two pieces. The head unit works in even in my i20 where the whole dash is curved

@@maxbulkyhulk installed it today, fit perfectly! I just wish i could remap the bottom buttons to open zlink or other installed apps that aren't joying's oem apps though but that's the only flaw haha

Think someone told me dayco makes belts for Subaru. I could be wrong tho. Thanks for sharing the knowledge

@@maxbulkyhulk Is it still working? My non-OEM Dayco belt died after 6 months. When I bought the OEM belt the difference was obvious. The OEM belt felt like a sand paper while the regular belt was soft. I am wondering if your Dayco belt was the same as the OEM belt?

@@mikman7219 mine is still holding up after 2years. I think the belt was soft. It has been quite a while tho.I can't really recall it

In the end, I just put a little bit of electrical tape on the clips and it should work just fine with stock clips

There is an option in setting about what happens after ignition off. It might be a longer time on yours. Let me know how you go.

Do you know where exactly in settings it says this? I tried looking around and I never found it in the settings.

@@maxbulkyhulk yeah I am, I’ve tried formatting it many times in my laptop but it’s still asking to format the sd card when I turn the power on in my car

Yes, for me rotating the drive shaft fixed noise but it didn't quite sound like from centre console. Car felt a lot harder to take off tho
