Vintique Motors is thrilled to present this 1966 Yamah YL1 Twin Jet 100!
This 1966 Yamaha YL1 Twin Jet 100 is finished in red with silver fenders and a partially chromed gas tank. It is powered by a air cooled 97cc two-stroke parallel twin mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The twin cylinder engine features dual Mikuni VM15SC carburetors and Yamaha’s Autolube system which automatically blends the two-stroke fuel mixture using a separate 1.2-quart oil tank. The kick-start-only engine was factory rated at 9.5hp and 6 lb-ft of torque, with an advertised 153 miles per gallon at 19mph with a top speed of approximately 70mph.
The chrome handlebars sit behind a 90-mph speedometer and indicator lights for low fuel level, neutral gear selection, and charging status that are integrated into the top of the headlight housing while the five-digit odometer shows 6,256 miles. It features a pressed-steel frame, 1.9-gallon fuel tank, side and center stands, full-coverage fenders, a chrome dual exhaust, and a two-up seat. Wire-spoke wheels are laced with 17″ chrome steel rims and fitted with older tires that show minor cracking in the sidewalls. The suspension consists of a telescopic fork with chrome external springs and dual rear shocks mounted to the swingarm. Braking provided by front and rear drums.
Don't miss out on this rare jewel!

My very first bike was one of these. It had been converted to a “dirt bike”, by taking off the lights & cutting off the rear fender before I got it. It was a great bike for a beginner. Thx for showing a nice one!
