Great video! I can say from my own experience that these exercises would put CPAP manufacturers out of business, if apnea sufferers could be bothered doing them daily. I was classified as having 'severe' apnea. I would wake up constantly, and my partner said I would sound like I was choking. This really stressed her and meant I had to sleep in the spare room a lot. My parents and sister also have apnea and on CPAP. Apparently my throat is very narrow and according to 'experts' my only option was CPAP. Well, I cured my apnea by doing these mouth/throat exercises daily, I lost all excess weight and drink 2 quarts of water a day (for sinus and respiratory well being - look it up). Now I sleep all the way through the night, no snoring, no apnea. Personally, I don't believe the weight loss alone cured me, to be honest i think most of the cure had to do with the mouth/throat exercises. I do them in the shower every day now without fail. I also practice holding my breath for longer periods, which helps (look it up). I've tried to convince my sister to do it, but she just doesn't believe it, although to be honest I think she would prefer to use a machine than make any life changes. :-/ oh well.

That explained waking up with a dry mouth. I have been doing Dr Adam's exercises for tmj and have just started with these ones for sleep apnoea to see if it works. My hygienist also recommended to use a mouth tape over night, so I do not breathe through my mouth. I hope they help and will see if it's worth having a mouth guard for tmj, but I'd rather do the exercises. I found the tape at Amazon, 2 packs with 60 each, inexpensive. You can use normal tape, but these ones stay put, are reusable and do not hurt the skin.
This video has changed my life. After a car accident, I suffered an undiagnosed fractured hyoid bone. I developed sleep apnea and major swallowing issues. No doctors were helping me, and ultimately made me believe I'd be surviving on bipap and ensure shakes for the rest of my life at the age of 20 years old. I was miserable and hopeless for months until I came upon this video during my desperate research. No joke, after the FIRST day of doing these exercises morning and night, I slept better than i had in months. I continued them for about 4-6 months and i can confidently say, now at 25 years of age, i am apnea free and can eat practically whatever I want. I dont even have to do the exercises anymore and havent for the last 3 years. These restored my muscles after the deterioration i suffered post accident, (which led to all my issues). I can't thank you enough, Dr. Adam. One simple video changed my life after thousands of dollars wasted at the Doctor's. I thank God that I found you. I now recommend your videos to anyone I know struggling with apnea or snoring. Thank you infinitely!
I just wanna say that I was scared because no matter what position I was in, I could feel my nose getting cut off of air right as I was falling asleep and it would immediatelywake me up. It was getting worse and I was scared I would never be able to fall asleep again. I did these exercises yesterday and last night my airway did not get cut off at all as I was falling asleep anymore. I still woke up exhausted but the point is I actually slept through most of the night! I'm going to keep up with the exercises, but I just want to thank you. When I went to the doctor they wanted to give me allergy medicine with a side effect of sleepiness but I knew it wasn't my allergies causing this, and I was already extremely sleepy. I wish every single doctor knew about these videos. You're helping so many people with this, thank you again!!
I had been regularly doing these V1 and V2 exercises from past 1.5 months. It had really cured my 4 year old acute Sleep Apnea issue. I wish to thank you Dr. Fields from the bottom of my heart for making my life more comfortable and easy !!
Thank you for the video. I have a serious sleep apnea. I ddnt slp for days .i was scared to go sleep and i tried the exercise and i really helped .i had the best sleep ever .i will continue this daily
After 1 month of doing your exercises my snoring has improved over 95% I know this because I record my sleep every night. I also started playing the didgeridoo. Avoiding sleeping on my back helps a lot also. Thanks, you might just have saved my life because before knowing you I had sleep apnea real bad.

Doctor Garu when iam sleeping at that time iam stopping my breathing and immediately iam getting awake up y Iam taken lungs CT scan but it is normal and also I taken 2d echo ,ECG it also normal but y Iam getting dis problem please tell
Adam, my journey starts here. My PVC’s Dangerously low Blood pressure and apnea had me in the hospital on and off this month. Waking hundreds of times a night. Can’t be steered in the proper direction till now. Read a personal story by James Carlton that followed Christian Goodman’s practice “Stop Snoring and Sleep Apnea Program” that led me here. This will be my game changer! May this year and all the following bring love and light. Blessings friend.
I could not figure out why my breathing was getting so much more difficult I finally made my way here just to find out tongue posture was the problem. Thank you so much this saved me
The holding a spoon parallel with close lips and the pressing the cheeks while holding air are two of the most challenging exercises. Wow! I’m definitely going to keep doing these!
It's kinda cool because I hear babies making these sounds before they talk. It's like they're getting their mouth exercises in! Thanks for the connection there 👍😀
Wonderful exercises video 1 and 2 for TMJ and sleep apnea. I do the exercises daily and no longer suffer from severe temporal headaches and sleep well during the night. The TMJ symptoms are mild and my quality of life has improved.
Great video ! By practicing these exercises, my Sleep Apnea has gone forever ! Thank you Adam for providing us these very useful exercises. God bless you.
Wow, it’s practically impossible for me to swallow while biting my tongue, I complete one swallow by the time you’ve done 3! I’ll have to work on that…thank you for your videos, been using them for various issues for years and I always send them to friends when they complain about sinus pressure/tmj/etc!
This video actually cured my sleep apnea. I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea (6 apneas per hour) so my dentist gave me a sleep apnea device that moves my lower jaw forward. It wasn't comfortable, but it brought me down to 4 apneas per hour. Now that I've been doing this video for two months, I took another sleep study, and I'm down to 2.5 apneas per hour, without my apnea device. This puts me well in the normal range. I'm very grateful, and wish more doctors would recommend this kind of intervention. Thank you!
Hey Sarah . I am glad it helped you. I just have a question if you dont mind. I wonder if before doing these exercise if your tounge use to be at bottom of the mouth or up up against the palate and where is your tounge positioned now.
@@SoundLock Hi Amir. I used to keep my tongue on the bottom of my mouth, and I think that that was a big part of my problem. Now I keep my whole tongue pressed against the top of the palate, and this seems to put my jaw in a more neutral position and prevent my tongue from relaxing backwards and covering the airway...
I had TMJ and did your amazing TMJ exercises for 3 months and it worked! However as the TMJ got better, it seemed it relaxed my jaw and throat muscles a little too much and now I have Sleep Apnea hahaha. Life is funny isn’t it? I know that these videos will help me and I can’t wait to start tonight (also hear that singing and playing the sax is great for sleep apnea too). Thank you Adam!!! You’re quite literally a life saver
Thanks so much Dr Adam! I sometimes had to leave the bedroom so as not to wake my husband from my snoring and apnea that just developed in the last few years. With these exercises, my clean diet (lowering inflammation) I now don’t miss my morning snuggles. Bless you and thank you.
I can’t thank you enough for this video and the previous one too. I have chronic sinusitis, chronic rhinitis and a deviated septum and have started snoring as a result. Unfortunately I actually snore with my mouth closed. I never even knew that was possible. I can only breathe through my left nostril too so am a noisy breather when sleeping even if I don’t snore. After two days of doing these exercises I am already noticing I can breathe more easily. Many thanks.
Have you gotten better? Have the exercises worked for you? My son has a deviated septum and needs surgery, but if these exercises worked on you then they may help him too!
Thank Dr Adam Fields. You are a life saver. My chocking reduced completely after just one session of exercise before sleep My chocking was bad, very bad, chocking was almost every 1 to 1 and a half hour so was chocking multiple times daily. I did both V1 of 3 Exercise and V2 of 3 Exercise. It is a miracle. You are a miracle. Very generous, brilliant, thoughtful of you to make these videos so effectively. I don't even have to recall anything on how to do it or be on my own when doing the exercise because I just have to play your video and follow you. It is that simple. You made it simple(like a slingshot) but powerful( like King David). You didn't fast forward any step in your video so It is more convenient to follow you like in real time exercise. My chocking was like the giant and your video is King David who defeated my chocking. You are my King David. You did it Dr. You are a conqueror, you are a life saver....many lives.🙏🙏🙏💪💪💪👏👏👏
Amazing..i have had problems choking on ..anything..smoke..fragrances..water etc..your exercises have revolutionised my life!!now i tongue thrust...ie..practice drinking with a straw to get that tongue to function while i drink..you have imoacted my life in such a positive way..i sleep better..feel well..sinus spacey feeling gone...i felt low functioning body for years.. All i have is thankyou for sharing..wishing you a beautiful..love filled life...
It’s only been a few days since I started doing these exercises plus the ones in your first video. I haven’t been sleeping on my back for years for fear of my throat closing off and choking on my post nasal drip. The ENT dr had said I had a long uvula that hangs really low and practically covers up my throat. Well, I tried sleeping on my back last night and not only did I not snore, I did not wake myself up choking. I am thrilled. I had even bought a snore guard thinking I’d have to boil it and shape it to my teeth to wear it, knowing it would be a huge hassle especially after reading how it rubs on your gums and causes issues. So I am so happy there is a solution to sleep apnea! I looked into this only because I am scheduled for a colonoscopy and don’t want to have breathing problems during the sedation. I’m so glad I found your video. It’s the best one out there! Many thanks. I’m planning to continue to do this nightly before bed. And the remedy for postnasal drip is a few drops of lemon water directly into the throat. I discovered that too!
@@plumeria66 Kenya. And this is not done at the hospital, there's like traditional practitioners. It's a cultural thing. I think in most African countries they cut it. I also looked it up there's a medical procedure (surgery) for it.
@@plumeria66 being a traditional practice doesn't mean unstirile knives. Heck a 5 yr old can afford surgical blade here. It is that cheap. Apparently it's such a minor surgery so much that the pain is mostly gone after a day
Your exercises are amazing! I also do this when i have globus sensation/lump feeling in my throat and the sensation goes away after i do your exercises. Sleep apnea symptoms are also fading away slowly. Thank you so much!
Lol! A couple of these I struggled with but for the 1st time trying it, it wasn't bad. I want rid of my bipap machine! My cat was watching me do these and the look on his face was priceless!!

Happy to help. Get to a corrective chiropractor if you can. Techniques like CBP (www.idealspine.com) and the Pettibon System are excellent for forward head postur.e
Such great exercises! Thanks! As a critical sleep apnea patient I sincerely hope I can get rid of it! 😇 Have just watched both videos and will give them a try.
I can't do some of these exercises! I have tmj and sleep apnea. Excited to try these daily with an update in 3 months. Going to get assessed for a tongue tie. I fat a pretty small jaw/mouth/throat lol and I also have small nose. Hope this works, thank you! i had fun doing these exercises lol
So greatfull ifound this video i knew what my problem was but didn't know what to do about i will spread the word so much gratitude i will do these every day i have been a mouth breather for aslong as i can remember here is to know more snoring or sleep apnea stronger heart longer life thankyou
Thank you very much. Tonight is the 3rd night I have tried V1 and V2. Not much difference but I will keep trying. My major problem is a stuffy nose. I've listened to my snore recordings over and over, I could hear how I fight to breathe all night. It's really depressing listening to those recordings every morning. I am positive+++ for change.
@@dradamfields 💕thank you. You are such a nice, kind, knowledgeable and modest person Doctor Fields. I forward your videos to all my friends and family.
I would say your exercises are great. However, the two most important exercises are the open mouth exercise which i recommend 5 minutes moderate sleep apnea and 10 minutes sereve sleep apnea and the putting your knuckles on your cheecks to open up the nasal passages for about 3 minutes. Combine both of them and your sleep apnea would be under control. The other exercises are just icing on the cake.
Most ppl incl me don't like to have to do "tongue", "neck, "shoulder" or whatever type of exercises....but when the pain level reaches 9-10 then we have no choice but to do something about it. I don't like taking meds bc of the serious side effects...so I have to discipline myself to do these. If I don't do this daily...my jaw freakin' hurts like heck in the morning. Thank you sir for uploading these life saving vids. P.S. I also tape my mouth in the evening before sleep so I nose breathe.
It's gonna be a while until I can get a sleep study done because of insurance shananigans. I'm really grateful there's another option here. Thanks for making this, and demonstrating everything for the full sets. Makes it much easier to follow!
I recently got diagnosed with sleep apnea,I'm 39 ,and the dr said is so severe she is surprised, anyways,I got the machine of course but this video is life changing ❤ thanks.
This was a wild, fun and challenging workout! I clearly have a great deal of work to do since one round of this had my tongue sore. And now it’s relaxed Thanks so much!
Just found your videos, thanks so much sleep apnoea is SO unladylike 😁 I have a question, what position should the tongue be when resting, touching the roof of the mouth or relaxed on the floor of mouth? It does feel like yoga, gives you the same feeling of space, lovely 🥰

Hi Joanita, I just saw this post. Sorry for the delay. You are really going for it. The people who get results are like you. They go months doing V1 and V2 daily. It depends on how you are now sleeping. Have you had it monitored with an app or a sleep test? If you just go by feeling, are you feeling like your air is 100% open. If so, just do an exercise every other day or every day. Take care and I'm so happy to hear your story.

@@happymovementchannel1045 sounds like sleep apnea
Adam, my journey starts here. My PVC’s Dangerously low Blood pressure and apnea had me in the hospital on and off this month. Waking hundreds of times a night. Can’t be steered in the proper direction till now. Read a personal story by James Carlton that followed Christian Goodman’s practice “Stop Snoring and Sleep Apnea Program” that led me here. This will be my game changer! May this year and all the following bring love and light. Blessings friend.
You're a sweetheart, Amanda
I could not figure out why my breathing was getting so much more difficult I finally made my way here just to find out tongue posture was the problem. Thank you so much this saved me
Great revelation! A lot of people never find that
How did you correct your tongue posture?
The holding a spoon parallel with close lips and the pressing the cheeks while holding air are two of the most challenging exercises. Wow! I’m definitely going to keep doing these!
It's kinda cool because I hear babies making these sounds before they talk. It's like they're getting their mouth exercises in! Thanks for the connection there 👍😀
Great sir.i am anaesthetist.simple but amazing...you solved my problem.thank you very much from bottom of my heart.God bless you
Wonderful exercises video 1 and 2 for TMJ and sleep apnea. I do the exercises daily and no longer suffer from severe temporal headaches and sleep well during the night. The TMJ symptoms are mild and my quality of life has improved.
So glad you shared this. If you are in San Jose, California, come in for a visit ; )
I incorporated your sleep apnea exercises when I do my morning yoga.
Great video ! By practicing these exercises, my Sleep Apnea has gone forever ! Thank you Adam for providing us these very useful exercises. God bless you.
So you have to continue to do them nightly or does snoring just go away ?
Can you really cure your sleep apnea problem it's that true plzz reply me. My mom is suffer to badly with sleep apnea
Wow, it’s practically impossible for me to swallow while biting my tongue, I complete one swallow by the time you’ve done 3! I’ll have to work on that…thank you for your videos, been using them for various issues for years and I always send them to friends when they complain about sinus pressure/tmj/etc!
Thanks for sharing the care with others!
Yes, I have found that 1 change in one place leads to others. As you talk you will probably build muscles that will help the apnea.
What is TMJ?
Thanks so much Dr Adam! I sometimes had to leave the bedroom so as not to wake my husband from my snoring and apnea that just developed in the last few years. With these exercises, my clean diet (lowering inflammation) I now don’t miss my morning snuggles. Bless you and thank you.
Wonderful! Snoring can definitely get in the way of a relationship. Glad to hear the cuddles abound.
I wonder how many relationships and lives you have saved. Bless you!
That means so much to me and ads fuel to my video-creating fire. Feeling blessed!
Wow Dinnie! I'm so glad to have touched your life in such a profound way. Feelin' the love!
This significantly reduced my symptoms. Excellent vid.
So great
It’s only been a few days since I started doing these exercises plus the ones in your first video. I discovered that too!
in my country we get it chopped at a very young age. i didnt get mine chopped. now I think its too long
@@SuperBayara Seriously? Which country is that?
@@plumeria66 Kenya. And this is not done at the hospital, there's like traditional practitioners. It's a cultural thing. I think in most African countries they cut it.
I also looked it up there's a medical procedure (surgery) for it.
@@SuperBayara It must hurt a lot. People don’t get infected? Are the knives sterile?
@@plumeria66 being a traditional practice doesn't mean unstirile knives. Heck a 5 yr old can afford surgical blade here. It is that cheap. Apparently it's such a minor surgery so much that the pain is mostly gone after a day
Your exercises are amazing! I also do this when i have globus sensation/lump feeling in my throat and the sensation goes away after i do your exercises. Sleep apnea symptoms are also fading away slowly. Thank you so much!
So good. V1 and V2 daily. Results should take a few months but it's worth it. : )

Lol! A couple of these I struggled with but for the 1st time trying it, it wasn't bad. I want rid of my bipap machine! My cat was watching me do these and the look on his face was priceless!!
That's awesome! Keep up on the videos!
This really works my sons are suffering from snoring .from the get go they are seeing results God bless you thank you.
That is great to hear. Make sure your home is free of mold, is vacuumed regularly and that they are on very clean diets with no refined sugar.
Enjoyed his lighthearted approach, found very informative, would love DVD to pop in every day follow. Been mouth breather, very shallow all life. I will continue especially clucking, ah ing, roof mouth , thank you Dr ! Keep teaching the world we need you !
Thanks for the encouragement Matt. Mouth breather your whole life! I would highly recommend endonasal cranial adjusting. Also check out my Q&A ETD video for some other ideas. Let's install a new window in your face and let the wind sail in. ; )
Thank you for making these video. I really appreciate that you do these with us and don’t just demonstrate them briefly.
And that is very intentional. Thanks for noticing ; )
Thank you so much. You actually do the exercises for a certain amount of time is really encouraging.
Thank you for this video. I did it while video is on.. I hope this relieves of snoring. Thanks Adam Fields DC
Thank you for making these videosI’ve been struggling with sleep apnea upper cross syndrome foward head posture. It’s my top priority to improve this because I’m not functioning very well anymore
Happy to help. Get to a corrective chiropractor if you can. Techniques like CBP (www.idealspine.com) and the Pettibon System are excellent for forward head postur.e
Doctor Fields, thank you. I appreciate the help that you`re offering us. It has been very helpful.
You are very welcome. Keep V1 and V2 up and you might just get off the CPAP or out of the snoring realm. I wish you the best.
Such great exercises! Thanks! As a critical sleep apnea patient I sincerely hope I can get rid of it! 😇 Have just watched both videos and will give them a try.
Hi Germaine, Give it at least 3 months of daily V1 and V2 and get on a low inflammation diet.

Big thanks for upload such a usefull and really effective exercises for snoring sleep apnea.
I have anxiety attacks while sleeping and jump up in fear that I cant breathe... this is helping me Thank you Dr. fields your amazing CHEERS 🥂
I'm so happy. Even kids can get night terrors when mouth breathing.
Hi Jessica, This video would apply to you
th-cam.com/video/Gp0toF7n_wA/w-d-xo.html
Keep it up. Takes time.
As a teacher I sometimes need to talk 4 hours in a day and these exercises have been the best 🎯. thank you. I am grateful.
Thanks for touching so many lives, Hale. The original definition of the word "doctor" was "teacher". Important job!
It's so great that you listened to your body and found the exercises that work for you. You get it!
TY sir.
Keep it up! Nose breathing is a must!
It's gonna be a while until I can get a sleep study done because of insurance shananigans. I'm really grateful there's another option here. Thanks for making this, and demonstrating everything for the full sets. Makes it much easier to follow!
Thank you! I am in a lot of pain. Face pain. TMJ. Eustachian Dysfunction and other things at the moment. Thanks!
I HOPE YOU FIND SOME RELIEF HERE ON MY CHANNEL. Make sure to look at the ETD Q&A video also.
I recently got diagnosed with sleep apnea,I'm 39 ,and the dr said is so severe she is surprised, anyways,I got the machine of course but this video is life changing ❤ thanks.

This is great. Thank you so much. I hope I can become a snor free person for my sweetheart.

god bless! do you know which exercise is the most effective for apnea that occurs right after falling asleep?
Thanks Oco. Do both V1 and V2 and keep doing it. If someone listens to you sleep and can dial in where the restriction is coming from, you could dial in certain exercises but it is better just to do the whole video for now. Might take a few months for some big results.

Oh my gosh. I’m carer for my mother who has Alzheimer’s, and she has a lot of difficulty swallowing and talking. We are doing these exercises together from now on. She has such weakness in her lips and tongue, and we’ve had no therapy since she left hospital. I know how late stage Alzheimer’s is affected by not being able to swallow: pneumonia is one thing we’ve already battled. I’m going to make a chart of these and get them into her daily schedule.
