    Kathy was plagued with dental problems from a young age and no quantity of brushing and flossing was going to help. As the problems became bigger and as teeth began to fall out, Kathy began to look for help. She researched the All-on-4 treatment and realized she didn't want to have healthy bone cut out of her mouth. Then she discovered the 3 on 6™ treatment from Smile Clinic. Kathy had a consultation with Dr. Logan Locke and then began treatment. This is her story.

      @@SmileSystems3on6I used to shake and clench my fists in agony. As you say it’s mentally torturing too. So in three weeks and I go to Sofia to get my full top and bottom teeth ! Im so excited ! Im no longer in pain as I have been toothless for years and just one denture on top.. needless to say my diet is terrible and I look awful. All I’m dreading is the injections because they alone are horrendous for me but I am determined to not panic this time. I actually dreamt I had teeth last night and cried when I woke up. Thank you Kathy for sharing your full story. What a beautifull set of teeth you have now! My teeth look like yours before you had the procedure and that unfortunately after having had many many dental procedures done (root canal treatment in all my molars, 7 of them needed to be redone and afterwards I found the book "The root canal cover up" and the impact on our bodies......... Crowns on every molar..). Loads of money spent and if I had had the change to choose 3 on 6 I would have saved myself a lot of money and an enormous amount of pain (adding up all the procedures and yesterday removing a crowned molar with 2 huge inflammations in my lower jaw). And what have I ended up with now? Everytime another (rootcanal treated, well-filled till the roots-endings so according to the dentists 'perfectly filled and looking good') molar comes out due to breakage in the roots. Now I am missing so many molars that chewing has become a problem. You seem to know all about it and I am happy for you that all your dental-issues are over and you have ended up with a beautiful smile without pain.
    So up until now I had never heard of 3 on 6 (only from all-on-4 or all-on-6). Unfortunately it looks like here in the Netherlands no dentist has ever heard about it either (?). I called the ACTA today, the largest dental-school here, and a (nice) person over there told me that 'they' (I don't want to offend anyone or pointing in anyone's direction) never heard of 3 on 6! I can't even find a dentist in Europe yet!.
    Good luck to you (also like your traveling ;)).
    Greetings,
    Diana

      I'm scheduled to get the all on four next week and I'm sooo nervous!! Every video skips from surgery to a week later, but I want to see the progression from day to day for that week (or at least the first few days) so I can get a sense of how bad the swelling and pain is gonna be. Any tips or words of wisdom? 😁 I'm also scared about how much bone they will have to remove and how much it will affect the shape of my face. I know it's all gonna be worth it in the end...well at least I hope!! 🤞

    I am on morning 5 after my surgery for my uppers. I had 6 implants done and have a temporary upper installed. It’s more pain than I was expecting to be honest. With the 3 on 6 they have to suture your gums down to the temp which is painful. Lots of pokey things in my mouth. Gums are swollen and irritated. I know it will get better but just know the first few days/weeks WILL suck. Don’t let that stop you though. It will be worth it in the end.

    How often do they need cleaning? And is it a special cleaning or regular dentist cleaning?

    • @SmileSystems3on6
      @SmileSystems3on6  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      We recommend people maintain normal hygiene practices with their teeth, which include dental cleanings twice annually. One of the main benefits of the 3 on 6 over other options is that no parts have to be removed or replaced for cleanings. So it is the effectively the same as a regular dental cleaning.

    Is there anywhere I can get a 3 on 6 in Texas? All the Dentists I talk to only do the All on Four with the synthetic gum line. Difficult to find Dentist in my area that are even familar with 3 on 6.

    • @SmileSystems3on6
      @SmileSystems3on6  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Unfortunately we don't yet have a provider in Texas. If you know some doctors there who may be interested in offering treatment you can refer them at www.3on6.com/refer-a-doctor
      Preserving bone and tissue with the 3 on 6™ concept takes more time and care to do and many doctors prefer to just do something that is easier (ie, cutting out bone and placing fake gums). For that reason, some doctors have been resistant to do it because it requires a greater degree of training and expertise. That said, we find more and more doctors every year are waking up to the harmful effects of cutting out the patient's healthy bone from their mouth.

      You do not have to be on a liquid diet for 6 weeks. Patients are on a "soft foods" diet during their healing phase which is typically 12-16 weeks. Here is a resource which discusses what patients can eat during their healing time after surgery: www.3on6.com/post/what-to-eat-with-temps-soft-food-diet

    I don't understand why so much people wants to have implants. I belive dentures are a much better and safer option. I am very happy with my removable dentures. And they are well made.

    • @SmileSystems3on6
      @SmileSystems3on6  หลายเดือนก่อน

      We are happy to hear that you're satisfied with your dentures. But it simply isn't a good option for everyone.
      Dentures require a significant amount of bone removal and cause continual bone loss in the long run. This often leads to a sunken face. Which, as you can imagine, may not be ideal for a younger candidate. Many of our patients who went from dentures to full-mouth implants have complained about dentures being uncomfortable and inconvenient. They didn't like the fit and feel of dentures, needing to constantly remove and glue them on, having slurred speech, not being able to comfortably bite into hard/crunchy foods, gagging, etc. Dentures are also made of cheaper materials that need to be replaced every 5-10 years.
      On the other hand, the 3 on 6 doesn't require bone removal and allows patients to keep their natural gum line for a more natural look. With implants, patients don't need to worry about them potentially falling off or needing to be re-glued like dentures. In addition, Implants are often made of zirconia and titanium, which if maintained properly, can last a lifetime. The maintenance is relatively easy - daily brushing and flossing and bi-annual cleanings, just like real teeth. That all being said, there's a reason more people are opting for implants.

      When someone's mouth has decayed over many years, reconstructing that mouth requires a serious surgery. Patients are given prescriptions for pain.
