Awesome, best dentist I have yet to see! Please address why we hardly come meet a dentist like you in this world? I know here in Delaware it is always about $$$$ ugh I cannot stand it tho I would not mind if it was good work however I just don’t trust in their process. I got a really interesting case that EVERY DOCTOR has told me All-on-4 is my ONLY BEST option! I’ve had trauma to the front at 12 that had work done fast forward 16 I went in for a filling awoke to 6 big chicklets in my top front teeth ! I cried they were oversized , crooked and gave me over bite. Over time of course busted the bottom teeth and get this at 34 they began to fall out as whole stick attached! What is it? I have no ideas, but my fear of trusting dentist has put me in danger of total reconstruction now, I am dedicated to find a trustworthy dentist so here I am doing research! Man i so need you Dr. MCFADDEN!
I am sorry to hear about your experience with dentists throughout your life. Unfortunately, I hear a lot of stories like yours. I will tell you this: You need a Prosthodontist, not a general dentist. I can tell by your story that you did not see a **Prosthodontist. (**They/we are the specialists that specialize in restoring and replacing teeth.) Read in the description under any of my videos and you will find a link to where to learn about the different dental specialties and how to check credentials. A board certified prosthodontist is who you need to see. If you are able to travel to Dallas a few times for treatment, I’ll be happy to help you. In the meantime, read about credentials and please, do not trust full mouth implant treatment to a discount clinic or general dentist. It’s just too risky. Good luck to you.
I have been to a handful of consultations and all want to do the all on 4. I was not comfortable with the visits. You are correct, they are focused on financing only. Even after stating they accept my insurance. They of course bill my insurance for the xrays for my free consultation, but then state they do not file insurance. I have ended up paying $100+ each for my "free" consults. Some even offered me a minimal discount stating it was in lieu of filing insurance. Lol. The sales tactics are over the top! I have driven up to 4 hours to receive those sales presentations. I stated yesterday that I couldn't wait much longer and need to make a decision. Tonight, not sure how, except devine intervention, your videos popped up on my stream. I will be contacting your office tomorrow to schedule a consultation for your first available appointment. I looked for an email, but don't see one. Just a suggestion, add an email address in the description. I will call your office. I am about 3 hours from your office. Thank you for the educational video! This is the second one I have viewed tonight.
I’m sorry (but not surprised) you’ve had such a horrible experience trying to get care. I’m typically booked out a few weeks, but we will work something out. Thanks for the email suggestion. We hadn’t considered putting it in the the Description!
Thank you so much for making this video! I live in this area and I think I know the person you mentioned at the beginning. I visited him for a second opinion recently, after watching some of his videos (including that one about treating his dad). He recommended a very different treatment plan for my current situation than I expected (based on discussions with the periodontist I've been working with). He also implied that I shouldn't bother spending the time and money to replace a few of my molars with single implants, because instead I should just wait for an All on 4 that he thinks I'll need in around 10 years. I'm so glad that I watched your video, and you emphasized the importance of preserving current bone and gum tissue. Now I know that if/when the time comes that my current restorations are no longer workable, there are other options I should discuss rather than going straight to the extreme of an All on 4. Thanks very much!
What an excellent, informative presentation. You have given me a real and I believe unbiased explanation of the different options for implants. I have been contemplating having implants for some years, but through continuing deterioration I now need to take some action. Your very detailed video has given me enough knowledge to make informative decisions and to ask the right questions. Thank you.
I am so glad, I found your video. I feel that i have much more information about the implants and I am ready to make an appointment with you thank you Dr
Real dollar costs are rarely discussed in these videos, as well as time. I started full mouth implants nearly one year and five months ago starting Oct 2023. This is all teeth removed, 6 months healing, then upper implants installed. Another 6 months healing, and then lower implants installed with uppers uncovered. Dentures were used but really only the uppers as the bottoms never functioned well. This one and a half year period for three sedated surgeries and healing cost $45,650.00. In two days I see the dentist for a meeting on the cost of the new implant teeth. I suspect they’ll be talking numbers in the $20,000 to $30,000 area.
It's too bad your dentists didn't inform you of the (total) costs in advance. I believe patients should know exactly what they're going to pay over the entire treatment time before any treatment at all begins. It's only fair. But -You're right. They're rarely discussed in these videos. However, I do have a video that discusses cost, and gives hard numbers. My video titled, "The Cost of Dental Implants, Lecture 2021" discusses cost in great detail. The term "full mouth implant treatment" covers many options ranging from snap on dentures, to fixed implant dentures (All-On-4), to full arch, fixed implant bridges, like so many of my videos show (this is the option every dentist would want in their own mouth, if they were facing full mouth tooth loss). Each option has a different cost range. The range from one end of that scale to the other can be from $30,000-$80,000. Sometimes, these treatments can be completed in 6 months, and others can take up to 18. I wish you the best on your treatment.
My 41 year old son came to my husband and I for help. His teeth were decayed, broken and missing. We brought him to the school of dentistry here in Utah and we are now in the process of his treatment. They extracted his remaining teeth - about 20 of them - and did bone grafts and an alveoplasty That was about a month ago. Last week he went in to have his temporary dentures fitted but he had to go home without them because there were still sharp areas of bone under the gums - the dentist wants to go back in and smooth that out more. Once THAT heals (again) he will get those temporary dentures fitted. Then he has to wait four months for the bone grafts to “take” before they place four implants up and four implants down in preparation for his “snap in dentures”…then the implants sit for four months under his temporary dentures in order to fuse to the bone. THEN he will get the final snap in set of dentures. We started this process in January of this year (2024) and I think he will be finished around September. I had no idea how long it would take. Are the ”snap ins” the same as “bridge implants”)? I’m not finished yet with the video. What do you think of this plan the school of dentistry has for my son, doctor?
No, Snap-on teeth are "removable", bulky (like dentures) and do require more bone removal than implant bridges. Implant bridges are at least 3X more expensive but they provide the best quality of life as they as close to natural teeth as anything we do. If you can send me a panoramic image, we can set up a Zoom call and discuss.
Doc I think higher powers at dentistry school world wide needs to address this dis service. It’s patients who paying price to take away body parts to put in plastic ! We employ best builders to work on our homes yet we not given choices with our mouths and impact of taking parts away. It makes me sad as I’m looking at dental implants after years of gum disease the trauma of this alone is enough pain
You are AMAZING! ( Do Know Harm ) gee, what a concept! I so very much appreciate your entire presentation on this 4 on 4 cases! I love your technique. You are so smart, and everything you've said I completely get. I love your enthusiasm and passion for your Art here Doctor! I wish i met you a few months ago. I really need to find someone like you closer to NYC. Congratulations to You! This is a real deal here Doc. Thanks again for this.
It's going to take a lot of consults and a lot of leg work. Start with board certified prosthodontists who don't advertise All-on-4. And, remember, we are just a four hour plane ride away.
I agree with your thoughts. I have a few teeth that are bad, and the composite they put on my front tooth came off. I asked the dentist to add more composite or bonding as I called it. Boom! I'm referred to the Implant Place to get implants for $46,000! Why bother going in to get teeth cleaning 2x a year if it's for nothing?!? I'm disgusted. They had a big 3-D Xray of my teeth and 'See where you have an abscess there? It needs out NOW' 'OK should I take antibiotics now?' 'No it's coming out' Makes no sense. Nothing makes sense. I'm not falling for this. I'll glue my own piece of tooth back on if I have to. I call B.S. Thank you for your info. We're not that stupid, although we may look like it lol. I appreciate your videos.
Very very informative, educational Thank you. I wish you were here in 🇨🇦. My second bout with implants in 10yrs. I am scheduled to have bone grafting on upper for an all on 4 denture. My first in 2014 completely failed due to lack of bone. . I don;t believe there are any specialist here in Canada that will do implants all on 4 bridges ( Zorconia) but this is fantastic information that I will be speaking with my surgeon about.
Great video. Other than the added complexity of doing fixed implant bridges, could one reason that dentists prefer all-on-x's is for the thicker prosthesis to add additional strength vs the thinner no pink implant bridge (fp1/fp2 vs fp3)? Is breakage a concern with the thinner prosthesis? Most board-certified implantologists that I've come across are not even offering fp1 type implant bridges as an option and still promoting the all-on-x. Some are now offering all-on-6+ implants with parallel implants (vs angled implants) which is a step in the right direction, although in most cases they still remove bone and require fp3 prosthesis with pink. I appreciate you teaching others about fixed implant bridges vs all-on-x. Most people don't realize they are getting an unnecessary amount of bone removed with all-on-x. If people qualify for a fp1 prosthesis, then it should be the ethical duty of the provider to offer that as an option to their patient. Great work!
Most (well over 50%) of patients with existing teeth qualify for FP1 (implant bridges, no pink). Thank you for the kind words. You're one of the few that truly seem to get it!
After a handful of consultations, your information is spot on! Not only are they focused on financing, but the bone removal for an all on 4 was not even mentioned. You are also correct that the provider did not even examine my mouth. One office I didn't even meet the provider that would perform the procedure! I met with someone under him. That was a hard no for me.
No issues with breakage because we are placing posterior implants and try not to have any cantilever segments or pontic spaces larger than two teeth. Zirconium is the perfect material for these bridges! Just have to manage it properly. And, yes, not disclosing the bone removal and not offering FP1 is terribly unethical!
@@davidmcfadden7927 hey Dr my name is Dennis Lannigan. I live in New Jersey and I was wondering if you can recommend anyone that does three on six or implant bridges instead of the cookie cutter stuff you’ve been talking about thank you very much.
I had an initial consult recently for 3 on 6. I want this man to do my restoration. He went above and beyond what I received during my consult. Which office are you based out of? I want him to do it
My office is in Dallas, Texas. My website is: www.dentalimplantcenter. com and my office phone number is 214-956-9100 I’d be happy to consult with you.
Wish I had found your video before I got this all on four!!! Would have loved to go to you. So much more natural, and, you’re right! Ya can’t clean them! And then your body builds up with yeast.
The only reason why dentist in the US prefer all-on-X over fixed implant bridge is because of the cost and technique sensitivty of it. All-on-X is not for patients but for dentists.. if you see full mouth rehab case with implant in other countries where implant cost is cheap and implant technique is more advanced than US(for example, Korea) , they never do all -on -x type prosthesis. I would rather place few more implant for free than “four” (preferably 6 to 8 with 3 segmented pieces) and make implant bridge for my patients. it is easier for maintenance, more predictable and has better retrievability.
My office is in Dallas, TX. My website is www.dentalimplantcenter.com and my office phone number is 214-956-9100 Be happy to consult with you and give you my assessment. (My consultations are complimentary).
I love your videos. I have learned so much from you. I am considering having something permanent done for my mouth due to severe periodontal disease. I am afraid if I wait, then I will not have enough bone for implants. How old can a CT or panoramic xray be used for consultation please?
We are in the process of getting a printer. We weren't satisfied with the prior units as far as their full capabilities. We do digital wax-ups with outside labs and they print models for us. So, we are close. I would mention that the outcomes speak for themselves no matter what technique(s)are used. Thank you for the question.
Do you also do 3 on 6 bridges? If not, why not? I am just figuring out the best way for me. I have heard that 3 on 6 are easier to repair/replace if something brakes.
Unpopular opinion... but a little bit of the pink in between the gums looks more natural and aesthetically more beautiful as pictured. Is that an option?
I have periodontal disease with 9+ pockets and bone loss and my front 4 bottom teeth are loose. I was told that ( All On 4 or 6) would rid me of periodontitis because infected bone is removed and cleaned. Would dental implant bridges rid me of periodontitis?
They’d be the better option because you’ll be able to clean them better, eliminating the accumulation of plaque and bacteria underneath the edges and around the implants.
@@mcfaddendentalimplantcenter hello Dr my name is Dennis Lannigan. I’ve been to several consult that do the cookie cutter procedure all on six and when they put the final product in my hand at the consult I was like man this seems kind of heavy and isn’t there gonna be food getting trapped under this and they were like now you’ll get used to it after time was wondering is there anyone that you could recommend in the state of New Jersey that does actual restoration within plant bridges instead of the cookie-cutter type. Thank you so much.
@@danstutzke3387a bridge is another option, given that the adjacent teeth that would support it are healthy enough to support the bridge. The down side to a bridge vs an implant and crown is that eventually that bridge will need to be replaced. The implant would be a more permanent solution.
No. They are not removable (except by a dentist). In my office I use titanium implants. The non-metal alternatives haven’t been around long enough with enough history behind them for me to be comfortable using them. Yet!
When it is said that "you can't have any teeth in your mouth....for six months" th-cam.com/video/Qk-X4AFZPZE/w-d-xo.html , does this mean I would have to have all my teeth pulled out in order to get a sinus lift that my Prosthodontist has recommended? Also, just from the appearance of the angled implants in the x-rays shown, they do look bad, or wrong. What is the technical reason though for why they should be avoided? Are they weaker or make for a poor fit on the final prosthesis? Any insights are appreciated. Thanks.
No, you do not need your teeth extracted for a sinus lift. However, if they are infected, have extreme bone loss, or are slated for extraction they should be removed before the sinus graft to avoid infection of the graft. I do not like angled abutments because the bone and tissues do not like them.... meaning the contours of the abutments cause additional bone loss until the abutment is fully exposed to the oral cavity (not below the gums). At that point, the prosthesis becomes more uncleansible. Have you seen my "Buyer Beware" videos? They explain all this.
Zirconia implants are available. I have not tried them, yet. I have some concerns about the connection between the implant and the abutment. I have never been one to jump on new technology. We are approaching 10 years of use and I am considering them.
zirconia tooth implant is a non-metal alternative to traditional titanium dental implants. Instead of metal, zirconia offers a ceramic choice that is more natural-looking and just as strong and durable as conventional implants. These implants can be used in the same way as titanium implants .
I could only dream. I've seen videos of people that win contests & get great All on 4 Zirconian (spelling) I haven't smiled since the 8th grade, I'm in Houston, 53yrs old & my teeth started breaking off at my gum line in my 30's. I need 21 extractions & I would only get implants or All on 4 if I could afford them. I'm on SSI/DI with a Cigna Advantage Preferred HMO w/ $20k in dental (prosthetics included) I just wish a dentist would help me & I would Video Document my journey & advertise for that Center. Other than that, I could only prey a dentist would help, work or even experiment on me. Or win the lottery..
What about patients that have some form of facial neuralgia pain such as Atypical trigeminal neuralgia or atypical odontalgia that was caused by a dental prcedure or dental injection. I have been told that inplants would be asking for more nerve pain. Not sure if you are familiar with how many people suffer lifelong pain from nerve issues that started with dental procedure but would like to know if you have any knowledge of this. Most dentists either claim ignorance on the subject or just do not want to admit that dental procedures can go terribly wrong and cause people to suffer from pain and or numbness the rest of there life
I am aware of these complications. Fortunately, I have never had a patient suffer any of these life-changing outcomes. I would certainly proceed with caution. I would need A LOT more information to advise.
Im from uk 🇬🇧 and turkey a hop away ate all doing all on 4 ive found a very good dentist in Budapest that do implant bridges consultation in a few weeks. A third of price of uk. Free consultation and hotel. If not successful il be booking to come over to you.
Doc why is dental industry denying patients s informed choice? I don’t get it pp would pay if you educate them. Your the experts I understand why your so annoyed as it’s sad. It’s like building house with weak foundation !
My only explanation is that they are taking the easy way out and following the crowd by always and only doing All-On-4. And - many of them don’t have the skill or patience to do it another (a better) way. That may sound harsh, but I believe that’s the truth.
The biggest flaws of implantation is implant fixture, its configuration ,texture, size, direction , having no periodontal ligament, is differ from natural teeth roots. it violate the law of physiology, anatomic harmony of the structures of masticatory system. and occlusal principles. lots of literature revealed late biological and bio-mechanical complication . severe enough to fail.
Last question Dr I know that the all on four or the all on six will remove bone but are they still reliable and what is their success rate some people can’t do patchwork on their mouth and keep going back for $20,000 here $20,000 there every few years Most people want a clean slate of all new teeth, so I’m just wondering even though they do remove the bone and do cookie cutter type work , will it still hold up over time thank you for your response. Also, I live in New Jersey and been to several consultations and was wondering if you could recommend somebody in New Jersey all the ones I’ve been to do cookie-cutter type procedures and never once mentioned removing part of the jaw bone. Thanks again. Great and very informative videos. Please keep educating us.
@@dennislannigan9609 I am the one oppose to restore missing teeth with implants ,lots of complications , shorten the longevity of restoration. actually there was other option to restore missing teeth with BPS suction effective mandibular denture. less expensive, more retentive and stable, comfortable esthetic in use. you can consult dental clinics, if they offer such technique. I am practice in Taiwan.
They likely will last a long time. The studies show they can last 20 years. The biggest problem we've seen, besides bone loss around some of the implants over time from the angled abutments, is keeping them clean. Also, patients tend to do better with them on the lower arch than the upper over time.
@@mcfaddendentalimplantcenter If you realized the occlusal principle, the masterpiece of traditional restorative reconstruction cases, done by master of prosthodontist will have a long term more than sixty years maintainable health masticatory system predictable outcome. why you choose denture supported with implants? besides, BPS mandibular suction -effective technique is suffice the need of complete edentulous patient
You say that people are lining up like cattle and it's. about the money., Well, I go to the dentist. and he wants $2000 for a cap to stay. in maybe two to four years You plan it that way That doesn't include the needle. The office visit and then you start up a contract for cleaning teeth. Come back. to our office., dental work for 45 years has not kept my teeth and I took care of my teeth. I'm healthy. My teach. Just all of a sudden the last four years took the turn for the worst. Maybe possibly because of painkillers. But you keep talking how foreign one implant is overpriced when you take $2000 times every tooth that would have. to that would have to be taken out or fixed and fixed again over and over your price. would be more not included. The gas trip in the visits to your office. You're just upset. You're going to lose your job. You better get on board. I'm being honest and truthful.
This all sounds wonderful. Knowing this already costs more than an all on 4 which is already outrageous, people can't afford to lay out anymore $$. Wondering what you would charge for a person needing 20 extractions and full upper and lower bridges? Just an average ballpark figure to give those of us contemplating this surgery an idea if we could even afford to have it done. THank you

As always another very informative and great video! Thank you!
Thank you 😁
I agree with your thoughts.
I’m glad you find them informative. Best of luck to you.
Sounds like you’ve been through a lot.
I hope you’re able to get a successful result. I wish you the very best!
Bravo !! If the doctor doesn't have time to meet you and evaluate your mouth, what does that say about how much they care about you?
My website is: www.dentalimplantcenter. com and my office phone number is 214-956-9100
I’d be happy to consult with you.
Is the 3 on 6 better then the all on 4 or all on x? Isn’t the 3 on 6 also implant bridges?
Wish I had found your video before I got this all on four!!! Would have loved to go to you. So much more natural, and, you’re right! Ya can’t clean them! And then your body builds up with yeast.
Thank you for your wonderfully informative videos. So helpful.
Glad to be of help.
I want what’s your number
I need to do my whole mouth! Where do you have the clinic?! For an assessment?!

@@mcfaddendentalimplantcenter I will give you a call next week! I’m
Based in the UK! Your form doesn’t let me fill UK telephone number.
I love your videos. I have learned so much from you. I am considering having something permanent done for my mouth due to severe periodontal disease. I am afraid if I wait, then I will not have enough bone for implants. How old can a CT or panoramic xray be used for consultation please?
A few years is usually ok.
Mission accomplished!! I wish you the best!
Can I ask why you don't have the equipment for printing temporary teeth instead of using the wax method?
We are in the process of getting a printer. We weren't satisfied with the prior units as far as their full capabilities. We do digital wax-ups with outside labs and they print models for us. So, we are close. I would mention that the outcomes speak for themselves no matter what technique(s)are used. Thank you for the question.
Do you also do 3 on 6 bridges? If not, why not? I am just figuring out the best way for me. I have heard that 3 on 6 are easier to repair/replace if something brakes.
Yes, we do
I really would love to visit and have a consultation though I live in California , so
We have many patients from California. 😁
Unpopular opinion... but a little bit of the pink in between the gums looks more natural and aesthetically more beautiful as pictured. Is that an option?
Yes.
I have periodontal disease with 9+ pockets and bone loss and my front 4 bottom teeth are loose. I was told that
( All On 4 or 6)
would rid me of periodontitis because infected bone is removed and cleaned.
Dominic Gallaso, DDS in Manhattan but I have not seen any of his outcomes.
I was wondering if an implant is needed for a pulled tooth or is it okay to leave a space.
Typically, it’s always best to replace it with an implant- unless, it’s the tooth furthest to the back with no opposing tooth to chew against it…
@@mcfaddendentalimplantcenter Would a bridge be a better option. Thanks.
@@danstutzke3387a bridge is another option, given that the adjacent teeth that would support it are healthy enough to support the bridge. The down side to a bridge vs an implant and crown is that eventually that bridge will need to be replaced. The implant would be a more permanent solution.

What type of implant do you use?
Titanium
ARE FULL ARCH IMPLANT BRIDGES REMOVEABLE, and do you use metal free implants ?
No. They are not removable (except by a dentist). In my office I use titanium implants. The non-metal alternatives haven’t been around long enough with enough history behind them for me to be comfortable using them. Yet!
Muy interesante!
Gracias por compartir.

❤❤thank you for this.
Is porcelain IMPLANTS , an option ?
Zirconia implants are available. I have not tried them, yet. I have some concerns about the connection between the implant and the abutment. I have never been one to jump on new technology. We are approaching 10 years of use and I am considering them.
Is this like a 3on 6 ?
Yes
Thank you ,doctor ,very educational video ,as usual! But metal free is the best option You should offer
What do you mean by metal free?
zirconia tooth implant is a non-metal alternative to traditional titanium dental implants. Instead of metal, zirconia offers a ceramic choice that is more natural-looking and just as strong and durable as conventional implants. These implants can be used in the same way as titanium implants .
It is far too early to make that claim. We will need another ten years to know if you're correct. You may be right...!
@margomargos3895 oh, I see, thanks, for responding
I could only dream. I've seen videos of people that win contests & get great All on 4 Zirconian (spelling)
I haven't smiled since the 8th grade, I'm in Houston, 53yrs old & my teeth started breaking off at my gum line in my 30's. I need 21 extractions & I would only get implants or All on 4 if I could afford them.
I'm on SSI/DI with a Cigna Advantage Preferred HMO w/ $20k in dental (prosthetics included)
I just wish a dentist would help me & I would Video Document my journey & advertise for that Center.

I wish you the best!
All on 4 takes your bone away. It requires less skill and a faster turnover time, hence more profit for the dentists in less time.
THank you
