- Thanks to all the controversy at Red Bull right now, a Max Verstappen move to Mercedes F1 in 2025 could be on the cards. It's still a very slim possibility of even happening but I think it might just work. Lets jump in and chat about why.

The most important question is what will Newey do. If I was Max, I would go where he goes.
A huge factor
Max to Merc is like the 1% chance play I can see happening if everything at RB blows ups. Giving up on that '25 RB for not much guarantees at Merc is a very risky move.
Definitely a slim chance but IF it went ahead, Toto and Max would be a scary combo
@@thegridgab I agree, for me it really depends also on how much Toto wants to commit to Max to enable the potential scary combo or is he just a driver next to George but with 3/4 championships.
If it's a commited to 1 driver relationship like Chapman Clark, Dennis Senna, Schumacher/Todt then I can see Toto and Max in a list like this too.

While Bottas and Hamilton may have initially enjoyed equal treatment, past seasons have shown that preferential treatment often favored the driver in championship contention. This is not even the case with perez who is the de facto number 2 driver from the start. So I feel like its unfair to just talk about Bottas.
I meant in terms of just Mercedes. Obviously Red Bull are not giving Perez fair treatment

Big thing I think is where does Adrian Neway go in all this. Does he join Lewis at Ferrari or follow Max to Mercedes? Or does he finally retire. My bet is Ferrari. I think a big draw for Lewis to Ferrari was the promise of a Neway designed car in 2026. Have to wait and see.
My bet is that Daddy Stroll Will scoop him up for Aston Martin
@@thegridgabinteresting take, but I'm with the OP insomuch as I could see Newey heading to Ferrari. Much like Lewis, it feels to me like that is something he wants to be able to say he did in his career, that of course being a part of Team Ferrari.
In fairness, Ferrari would be an awesome way to cap off his career

guys lets be realistic here there is no way max and jos would drop shares at redbull to move to a lower perfoming team let alone leave their brand redbull, if anyone just pays attention to what max has been saying for the past 5years you will know there is absolutely no way he will go to merc PERIOD. lets find better news
