Great piece of gear! I absolutely love the sound it produces! The amount of manual work that went into producing this 60s beauty is heart warming. Very rare, yet not over the top expensive for what I found. No midi-upgrade kits availabe though LOL.
Exactly - the machine is early enough (mid '60s) to predate ROM/RAM, each of the voices is discrete circuitry (behind the "button" panel, which I don't believe I explored when I had this open).
@@stevenr.sellick1395 - congratulations on the find - these are fun old machines! I've just fired mine up again and am pleased to report that yes - multiple rhythms can be selected simultaneously.
what an interesting drum machine, I just learned that this is what Suicide used for their early recordings!
Do it nice…cool as ice..
I thought you were going to say, "I just learned that this is what suicide feels like". 😅
1:40 "They're coming to take me away, ha ha!"
WOW

This thing fascinates me to no end.
Just wait until Behringer clones it.
Never seen one of these before - great vintage sound full of character. Even the mechanical sound of the rotor going round is evocative.
Thanks for uploading. Really cool machine and I'm surprised at how good the bass and snare sound for such an oldie!
those are little NEON LAMPS maybe used to cause some discharge, infact they strike when V is up to 100 V... more about the circuit pleaseeee
0:54 Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark?
My friend used one for live performances
Wow THATS awesome jesus those hats!!!
Wow that is amazing! Thanks for sharing this.
dat rusty raw sound is sweet
Maybe the only rythm box that can get a wonky timing just like a real drummer
lol - I hear that. Although, I've recently picked up an unrestored Wurlitzer Sideman; in comparison this thing's locked in to a grid!
@@synthrovert Hey Synthrovert, how can I message you? I'd like to talk about using some of your beautiful footage here for a project.
@@TheLeechPedal thanks for asking - I use the same handle at IG if you'd like to reach out there.
You made my day!
Big thanks
1:35 Der Donau, so blau, so blau, so blau
Amazing
Does it recieve MIDI sync clock 😁
lol, wouldn't that be something?
Phillip Zacharias 😊
No only the kitchen sink then sorry.
thats true analogue
Woow
It is like the first keio doncamatic DA-20 drom 1966
Why would they cover up all the bulbs? Great bit of kit though...
Reminds me of Terminator. Stark, cold, and creepy (to me).
Ha! I love it. In person, the neon bulbs (flashing along w the rhythm) actually made me feel like the machine was living/warm.
Why does it have all those winking LEDs hidden behind the front panel?
You mentioned on Reddit that you were going to release a sample pack. Did you ever put it together? Definitely up for buying.
I second this, I want that 2nd rhythm and I'm not afraid to rip if I have to but would prefer the easy version lol
theres a free sample pack for this machine on reverb
How are the actual sounds produced? Can't imagine they're pre-recorded? Dedicated analog synthesizers for each drum?

Crazy !! 😍
Where's the USB port? :)
I'm sure I'm not alone in believing that this fucks severely
🖤
Only a jukebox company could come up with this.
Cool
Do you still have it?
I do!
@@synthrovert I just bought one now. Is it possible to press more than one preset at once to make new rhythms?
@@stevenr.sellick1395 - congratulations on the find - these are fun old machines! I've just fired mine up again and am pleased to report that yes - multiple rhythms can be selected simultaneously.
@@synthrovert Great! Do you have a service manual or schematic for it?
@@stevenr.sellick1395 - unfortunately, no - I'll keep my eyes open, though!
Did you add all those LEDs, or are they normally on all Seeburg Rhythm Princes?
The bulbs are original; no mod on my part. As I understand it, they act to round out the "attack" for each percussive hit.
Thanks for the info! And thanks for sharing the video.
+Mitch Wells thanks for watching!
Bit like a vactrol? But without a lightproof case?
If anyone is selling one please let me know. I want to buy one.
Just saw 1 on reverb for $349
Полный атас. Вот это гроб с цветомузыкой.
Looks amazing, sound awful though.
