Garrett Hall Honestly, with the cloth interior I didn't find it to be unbearable. Most apartments in Tucson have covered parking, so that helped too. The biggest issue was the dust blowing around...
FreakFiveOh hey man I like your setup I'm currently running kooks longtube with off-road x pipe stock over axle and Roush mufflers. Was curious on if you think the corsa would change the sound a lot and what not or would they relatively stay the same. I like how loud the Roush are but they are also pretty raspy at 3k rpms
Corsa FTW! I just picked up a 2014 GT and Im going to get the Corsa Xtremes but Im still undecided on deleting the cats. How loud is it driving around town and cruising on the highway?
It's as loud as you want it to be. I've never had problems getting pulled over or anything because I drive pretty easy day to day. If you're looking to stomp on it every time you leave a set of lights, then you'd definitely draw some unwanted attention. The only thing I will say is that cold starts are quite loud. No issues on the highway either.
Hi could you list the mods you have in your GT please, I like the stance it has which means you have suspension done, I have a Boss 302 with Corsa Xtreme Axle Back, now looking for a mid pipe don't know if I will keep the H-pipe configuration or perhaps change it to an X pipe.
Suspension mods are Eibach Sportlines, Koni Yellows, BMR RCA and adjustable UCA, as well as the BMR Panhard Bar. I love the stance of the Sportlines, but the roads here are pretty rough, so I may switch to the Pro Kit or BMR springs soon.
Im gonna be getting the corsa quad tip extremes on my 2014 soon... I recently bought a ford racing 3" catback and im really disappointed with the fitment. The ota pipes on my kit dont clear the axles enough. My cars not even lowered and i've put at least 24 hours of time trying to adjust them so they clear the axles, but the pipes simply dont clear enough. I got the kit from American muscle and they basically shitted on me saying theres nothing they can do, it should be clearing... They dead ass told me to dent my ota pipes with a ball point hammer so they clear... Anyways im gonna get rid of my current setup and go for the corsa quad tip with borla 2.75" ota pipes. My ford racing kit has an x pipe too but im not sure how or if i can fit it to the new 2.75" ota pipes. Cant wait to get my corsa's. Its gonna be a bit of a project since i'll have to change to a gt500 rear valence. Man the quad tips are so hott!.
I haven't noticed any at city or highway speeds. From what I've seen, most people with Corsas have no drone, regardless of what headers or mid-pipe they went with.
FreakFiveOh That's awesome, very jealous of your setup and thinking of switching my borla ataks to corsa becasue the drone on those with my O/R X is getting annoying as I start to take it on longer trips. Thanks for the help!
Dang, Bro.. My 2013 GT 5.0 with Borla ATAK Catback sounds nice too but i like yours better mang!! By the way, what offset did you get for your 20x9/10.5 Velgen VMB5 wheels? (front & back) Did you have to do any mods to put these wheels on the car? I am planning to get wheels ready by this summer and I would love to go for this one!!
+35 front and +45 rear. No mods were needed, but the person I got them from recommended that I stick with the 295 tire with my drop to avoid any rubbing. Give Paul at Howie Industries a call and he will make sure you get the right setup.
Sadly no, I tried to make one once, but I left the windows down to test my external microphone and there was way too much wind noise. I changes my exhaust setup a little while back, so I will make a new video one of these days.
Thanks! Suspension: Eibach Sportlines, Koni Yellows, BMR adjustable UCA, BMR LCA and panhard bar. The wheels are Velgen VMB5s, 20x9 in the front and 20x10.5 in the rear. As much as I love the exhaust, the wheels are the favorite mod that I've done to the car!
/Dan The whole warranty discussion is a complicated one. If you were to do just the axle-backs, then you'd be hard pressed to find a dealer that cares. The issue with the off road x-pipe is that most people will get a tune at the same time, and that's when you'll start running into issues. I've heard that the warranty remain in tact as long as the modified part is not the cause of the issue, but then it's a matter of disputing the cause of any issue you have. If you're worried about warranty, then I'd suggest not going too crazy with the mods.
FreakFiveOh you're doing almost exactly what I'm working on with mine - how's the wheel fitment? Any rubbing issues with that drop and those wheels/tires?
Jamison Van Roekel The wheels fit awesome. No rubbing at all. However, with the more aggressive drop from the sportlines, it was recommended that I stick with a 295 rear tire, instead of a 305 or 315, just to be safe. That being said, I may give 305s a try next.
Hi FreakFiveOh, at the beginning of your video when you start up without X pipes is your only mod Corsa Xtreme Axle Backs bolted on stock H pipes and stock shorty headers? It sounds too good to be just axle backs !
FreakFiveOh Thanks! I just put an order for Corsa Xtremes today. Looking forward to the sound! I was reading your other comments here, I see that you have an AED tune. Does it affect your exhaust sound without the x pipes?
The only thing that changed after my tune was the car started to pop a lot on deceleration. Shaun at AED said it was normal, but it sounded like gunshots with the corsas and x-pipe, so I've switched to some magna flow street series for right now. I'll go back to corsas if I ever get that popping figured out.
+PRAY IV DEATH The off-road RTR axle backs are the most aggressive sounding in my opinion. Sounds incredibly throaty and angry with stock headers and mid pipe. However finding a video of them is damn near impossible. But they are my third axle-back and I love them. They are a bit pricey though.
***** Yeah, 10.5 in the rear. howeyindustries.com/wheels-and-rims/velgen-wheels.html That's where I got them, but I don't remember the backspacing info. I'd give them a call and make sure you get the right ones for your car if you're that interested.
They're 20x9 and 20x10.5 WITH +35 front and +45 rear offset. Tires are 255s front and 295s rear. I want a 305 for the rear, but I'm worried about rubbing with the sport lines.
Did you have cats on before the x pipe? I have a 2014 Mustang GT/CS with Corsa Extreme axle backs, resonator delete, and catless and I was thinking about buying an o/r x pipe but not too sure if it will make a huge difference
My Car Life So do you think getting a x pipe for my car would make a noticeble difference even though I’m already catless? I know people usually get x pipes to go catless but I already am. I don’t want to buy a x pipe if it won’t make a difference
Hey man thinking about getting offroad x pipe but people say it gives off a bad odor obv cuz there's no cats but is it really that bad to the point u will take it it off?
I did notice more of a gas smell at first, but that was normally only during initial startup. I never really noticed anything out of the ordinary while driving around, but perhaps some people have a more sensitive sense of smell. The only issue I've had is the exceptionally loud exhaust popping under deceleration. It didn't do it at first, but started after a few tune updates. I've been told by my tuner and many people on the forums that it's normal, but I still find it annoying, so I'm currently debating over some quieter mufflers.
Yes, I got an AED tune, and no codes thrown once the tune was done. I believe there may still be MIL eliminators available for these cars for folks who want to keep the stock tune and get rid of any check engine lights.
FreakFiveOh Really want to buy a 5.0 mustang just wont be able to afford it for like 3 years lol. But i feel like i should save and buy my own first car!! I already drive my dads jeep tj thats all modified but i would like to buy my own car for college and not have to rely on my parents for my stuff.
It's all about your personal preference. Pypes and Flowmasters are cheaper I'm sure. A big thing that led to me choosing the Corsas was that I liked the way the exhaust tips were tapered to match the lines of the bumper.
I think they might use a higher quality stainless steel, and you have the double walled tips, but other than that I really don't know. The biggest thing Corsas are known for is having zero drone.
Hey should i get the sports or xtremes, i have a res delete and going to buy an x pipe i want loud but not extremely loud where it’s going to get annoying, please help
AnthonyBro honestly, I’ve never heard them side by side, but I feel like the sports are still very loud. Maybe stick with the sports if you’re worried about them being too loud
It all depends on where you live. Right now I live in Hawaii, and they have no emissions testing. I never had to have this car inspected because I bought it new in Arizona, and if I remember correctly, you don't have to have an emissions test done for the first two years or so. That being said, I had my old cobra inspected and it was catless, but since there was no check engine light on the inspectors didn't seem to care. Most places I've known will pass you as long as you don't have a check engine light. Unless your state is super strict on that sort of thing, then they probably won't do physical inspections. If you do live in a state that strict, then I'd just get some hi-flow cats and avoid the headache.
So AZ is strict, or just the first two years and no check engine light? I currently live in NC, they don't emissions at certain places. They didn't check mine at a certain place, got lucky because they normally do everywhere here but get lucky. So back to your question. How is it?
I never found AZ to be strict. I'm actually from NC and I never had issues with my first mustang either after I did the catless h-pipe. That was 7 years ago though, so I can't say what their procedures are like now.
I live in Mooresville, NC and I go to Valvoline to get inspections. They do emissions but when I was there they didn't do emissions for me. Idk where I will get inspections in AZ yet. I don't think everywhere in AZ is not strict. There's always that one shop that are up tight. Do you remember where you went in AZ for inspections?
I only had to go once, but all I remember is that it was a major emission testing place next door to the MVD. They plug their reader into your OBDII port and run the car on the rollers for a bit. They didn't put sensors in my exhaust, so they didn't see that the cats were gone. The only car I saw them use the exhaust sensors on was a 66 mustang that was in front of me.
This is the best exhaust I've heard on a '13-'14 Mustang, period. Holy shit. I actually liked the startup better without the X-pipe but those drive-bys with the X are absolutely disgusting. What made you decide to go with an X instead of an H? Just curious. I usually like the deeper growl of an H better.
Corsa should be paying you. You just got them another sale.

Did you have cats on before the x pipe? I have a 2014 Mustang GT/CS with Corsa Extreme axle backs, resonator delete, and catless and I was thinking about buying an o/r x pipe but not too sure if it will make a huge difference
Yes, the before part of the video was with the stock catted h-pipe.
My Car Life So do you think getting a x pipe for my car would make a noticeble difference even though I’m already catless? I know people usually get x pipes to go catless but I already am. I don’t want to buy a x pipe if it won’t make a difference
Is this with the resonators? and if you changed the over the axle pipe what did you go with?
Stock over-axle pipes with resonators. I was gonna go with the lethal performance over-axle pipes, but I decided against it.
Best video 👌👍
Where can I buy those exhaust ?
I got mine from latemodelrestoration.com
Fuckin beautiful
Great video! I have the same rims as you.... What tire sizes are you running? Thanks!
255s up front, 295s in the rear. I wanted to do 305s, but was concerned about rubbing on big bumps.
FreakFiveOh Ok, thanks!
Did you have to tune it ??? And did it throw codes ??? Sounds SEXY!!!!
Yes, I got an AED tune, and no codes thrown once the tune was done. I believe there may still be MIL eliminators available for these cars for folks who want to keep the stock tune and get rid of any check engine lights.
Ur mustang is a beast
FreakFiveOh Cool car! May I ask what tire sizes are on this badass? Thanks.
***** 295s in the rear, 255s in the front.
So does the X pipe replace the stock downpipe? I dont know to much about X-pipes.
Janko The Editor Yes, an aftermarket H or X pipe will replace the factory h-pipe.
+Janko The Editor good man.
whats better between the corsa xtremes, pypes bombs, and flowmaster outlaws? i cant decide
It's all about your personal preference. Pypes and Flowmasters are cheaper I'm sure. A big thing that led to me choosing the Corsas was that I liked the way the exhaust tips were tapered to match the lines of the bumper.
FreakFiveOh is the construction on the corsas of a higher quality?
I think they might use a higher quality stainless steel, and you have the double walled tips, but other than that I really don't know. The biggest thing Corsas are known for is having zero drone.
Hey Freak. Any drone while driving on the highway? I'm still deciding on a h-pipe or x-pipe...
With the corsas no, zero drone is their calling card. I've switched to Magnaflow since then and they do drone a good bit at lower RPMs.
Hey should i get the sports or xtremes, i have a res delete and going to buy an x pipe i want loud but not extremely loud where it’s going to get annoying, please help
AnthonyBro honestly, I’ve never heard them side by side, but I feel like the sports are still very loud. Maybe stick with the sports if you’re worried about them being too loud
wooow I have roush now I want a corsa lool
where did you go to pass inspection, I want to go catless just like you, but I can't find a shop that will pass emission?
I definitely liked the H-pipe sound better on my older 2V mustang, but I just wanted to try an X-pipe this time around.
