As I can’t have a sweetie anymore 😢so Mac is doing a wonderful job long distance, l had a short haired Jack for 14 years of pure sunshine, he was irreplaceable and all the things that Mac does he did and a few more besides. He would take his long lead and run ahead of my disability scooter, like a very, very little husky. He was much loved by the people walking along our beach side promenade. He never pulled,just took the slack and would instantly know where we going. He would go around the corner first and it really amused the crowds. He also loved people to make a fuss of him, he would sit on the sea wall waiting to be stroked. ❤️ I would say one of his best habits was to never eat anything outside his home, obviously this did not apply to cheese 🧀 dropped indoors 😊.
Mac De Mini Hotdog 🌭 He couldn't be more loved!!💙 Seems like he has more than eight fancy sweaters! He is so well dressed for his walks! 🐾
I love that you have to cover Mac’s ears when you say cheese. I have a mini-wired haired doxie and a mutt and their favorite word is definitely cheese. I highly recommend a wire haired-they are quite the characters like Mac.

Dachshunds are very devoted to their family and very intelligent. You have both been super consistent with him which is so important. And also knowing where he fits into your pack. He's a confident little guy - you've done incredibly well with him.

I love these dogs. I had a miniature the same color as Mac but was a girl. She was 16 years old when I had to put her to sleep.
She was my precious baby. Mac is precious and adorable ❤😊
Can anyone on this thread imagine what these wonderful doxie doggy parents would be like if they had children? Their kids would be eating pureed surf n turf at 6 months old, they would all wear Gucci, Chanel, Louis Vuitton sweaters, and have the best toys from FAO Schwarz lol!! 😅😅 hats off to both Macs Mom and Dad for being such sweet, caring, nurturing doggie parents!!😊😊

Hi Mac ! Lots of times my mom and I watch you at home and out and about. Guess what? I Love cheese too ! My favorite "cookie" is chicken jerky. Maybe try it out. Be sure you've got water handy though, sometimes I need a drink of water after jerky.

Thank you for this, many questions we have had were answered. Of the 4 Dachsies in our family (all female), one is a chocolate longhair mini, one is a Wheaton soft wire-haired mini, one a smooth hair black and tan mini, and a precious double dapple standard (born blind and deaf) it's a spirited, loving household along with 5 other rescue dogs....the Wild Kingdom ❤
My dog's bday is also the 18th, haha. At least we think, since he was a rescue. He's part dacshund part lab, so he looks like a lab puppy 24/7, its adorable

I would vote for Mac.
River, my long haired girl mini dachshund has learned to get her nose into my backpack and work the zipper open for a treat search. I have to be careful that it is zipped all the way with no place for a long skinny nose to fit in.

Solution: a refrigerator lock box with a minimum, a 6 digit combination!
I've been a doxie dad 3 times: a wire, and 2 long haired, all boys. I found the wire to be the most "athletic" and outgoing. The long haired were more mellow and snuggle-driven. The wire shed less than the long haired. One long hair absolutely loved getting groomed weekly. The other long hair had terrible separation anxiety. Having Mac for company will help a second doxie. Nice furniture stair; anything to reduce risk of IVDD. If you want big dog attitude in a small package, doxies are the best!
If I was a cute doxie I'd love to see the camera out as well!

Macy (de beagle) is almost 6 months old and was spayed this week. She had a second postop day of severe diarrhea and vomiting. Pumpkin purée really helped her.
We are always being bit by Macy. She has plenty of chew toys. 😟But I am her favorite chew toy. Any thoughts?

So Mac is a Pisces.❤ Can you say where you got Mac from? I ask because Mac's color is stable, maybe because the breeder was very good? I don't know.
They say not to bathe a dog too often. Dries their skin out. We do it every other month unless she rolls in something lol! I use Johnson & Johnson Baby Shampoo with conditioner. Gentle on their skin, coat & eyes.
I agree with the positive reinforcement when they have accidents. Yelling only causes them to shut down and become fearful. She usually does it when we are not home but not every time. I think she really can’t help it or she got scared of something. And she always does it in the office. When I come home and check and there’s no accidents, I give her a tremendous amount of praise and she gets all excited. But if she does have an accident, she is aware of ii and you can see she genuinely feels bad. That’s when I pick her up and tell her it’s OK (because I don’t want her become fearful). I know she didn’t do it on purpose, and I want her to feel safe and loved even when she has an accident.

I was just curious if Mac is able to make babies? My Best Friend was a Double Dapple Mini wiener. Her name was Maggie Mae. She was Always with me. My friends knew they had to ride in the backseat of my car because Maggie always rode shotgun in her car seat. Anyway sadly she got too old and I had to put her to sleep. I said I would Never get another wiener cuz it just HURT to much!! BUT THEN I met Mac. I think it would be Heaven on Earth if Mac continued his PERFECT Disposition and we all could have alittle bit of Mac with us. Thank You for these videos. They have been Life changing for me!!!😊😊
