@@Aletta87 Oh that's wonderful!! I've had to help 2 cross the Rainbow Bridge in the last year. I have one Doxie and the Weimaraner in my Avatar pic left. They're both seniors 13 and 11 respectively. My Doxie has been my velcro dog since we got him 11-1/2 yrs ago. We've decided not to bring any more into the pack. It took me 7 yrs after the last of my last pack was gone to get another... partly due to the heartbreak and partly due to life happening. But like the song says "I could have missed the pain, but I'd have had to miss the dance"!!

We just brought in a new puppy ourselves at the beginning of April, a bloodhound mix named Daisy Mae. Our three older boys (all around Crusoe and Oakley's age, actually) fully sympathize with Oakley's struggles, although Bruce has turned out to be her favorite big brother. He's the one she's constantly following around and pouncing on. He loves her but definitely appreciates a break now and then. We keep reassuring the boys that she'll grow out of it... Eventually.
So happy for you Oakley. Delilah's adorable & it's obvious the 2 of you are best buds. Glad you have a good advisor in Crusoe. Seeing the 4 of you together warms my heart. It was great to see mother and father too!!!!!!

I got My 1st puppy in the 70s. My hubby and I got a dachy. It's now 2024 and I still only have dachys. At many times I had 6 at a time. We rescued many dachys and it was wonderful. Today we still have 4. Within the last year we had added 2 new dachys. One is a red mini long hair and he just turned one last week. The last one is also red mini with shorter hair and also turned 3mths old last week. These last 2 have the same parents. We are very happy.
