This little dog is seriously one of the curtest beings to exist on this whole planet of Earth. Holy smokes. This dog is extremely outstanding.
Pierre is sooooo adorable🥺
one little tip from a fellow dachshund owner, try to keep his body in a horizontal position when you hold him🫶🏻this would be more comfortable for his spine
Pierre is so cute. One suggestion -get a ramp. Discourage him from jumping on/off high places to protect his long back. I also have a long haired mini dachshund and she’s now 4. She’s loves to sleep and eat , is stubborn and barks frequently(typical of this breed).
All of yall who commented are now my mentors! I can’t wait to get my puppy soon and I want to make sure he stays healthy! 🩵

Pierre is so cute 🐶 we got a black and tan smooth haired miniature Dachshund just over a week ago he's called Henry he's 10 weeks old now and he's amazing.
He loves to play be cuddled and his training is going so well .
Henry's temperament is amazing and so far I have taught him to sit ,stay , lay down , he's starting to recognise his name and we got him some small stairs to get on the sofa which he's great at now .
He has brought so much extra joy to our lives and I can't recommend miniature Dachshunds enough they are such a great family pet and keep up with Pierre's socializing with people it's worked great for Henry .

Congratulations on your sweet fur baby Pierre! We had two Dachshunds they were both long hair they are very smart dogs. Pierre, reminds me of Lucky, same color but it changed to red as he grew older. Riley, is going to be a great sister as you both will be great parents❤

So adorable! You probably already know but just in case. If you allow him on the couch don't let him jump off as he can hurt his back. If you can provide him with a step, ramp or cushion that you can train him to use when trying to get off of the couch 😊
Came here to double check dachshund pronunciation bc I really heard someone pronounce it differently and stayed for the pet carrier bag! 😹I have a few little guys/girls and only one cute lil carrier. The one you have is really cool. I like how roomy it is. Thanks!

ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!!
My husband and I got our first Dachshund in 2001, the second in 2003. They were mini's. Unfortunately they have passed on. There were 5 more, and all but 3 of them have also sadly passed. They are 2 Dapple Doxies and one red haired one. My husband made ramps for them to get up on and off of furniture. You will love your little cutie to pieces. Your other dog is very adorable too. We loved watching them play on your video. We will always have Doxies, as long as our health holds out. We are both in our late 70's.....believe me, they are so much fun, but can also be stubborn. You will have so much fun with this little character.

Hi Pierre! You and Riley both are so precious! I am a Doxie lover! BTW, Chloe you might want to ask your vet about the rope toys - my sister's dog had a string from one of those get wrapped in the intestine. Not to scare you but just sharing! Precious 10's all around!

What a sweetie!! Did you guys adopt him or buy him from a breeder? We just got our mini dachshund and we are in love with him. He was also super mellow on the way home. I think it’s bc he was scared and also just really young (we got him at 10 weeks). They’re like newborn babies who just sleep all the time. He’s definitely much more awake these days. How’s Pierre now 5 months later?
We got him from a breeder!! He is wild now 😂 very much happy and playful!! Lots of energy 🫶🏼

Could you please share the breeder's name in Tennessee? I have been looking for an English Cream puppy just like Pierre! I have had miniature dachshunds for many years...one short-haired and two long-haired, but my last one passed away unexpectedly(during a routine medical procedure) in 2021. I have been completely heartbroken since then. I live in Georgia, so I'm very near Tennessee and would LOVE to have a baby just like yours!

Sometimes the fake or miniscule pee is a way of testing, this is what you want? Reward it when it is outside etc when he does that as it is him connecting the dots mentally.

Chloe I saw you getting nervous bcuz Riley was play bowing towards Pierre. Plz don't be nervous about that that's the way that dogs communicate to other dogs that they want to play. It's not a fight stance or any form of aggression. I honestly believe that Riley's motherly instincts will start to come out now that Pierre is apart of the family. So adorable! I only grew up with dauchsands and they are so cuddly and overall great dogs. We are looking to get our kids their (our) very first family dog. I always wanted a golden retriever and my son wants a dauchsand so I learned about these english cream dauchsands that are literally a mix of those two dogs. Is that what breed pierre is specifically? An english cream dauchsand?
Yes that's correct! He is an English Cream Dauchsand!
Do get him checked out though, when my husband and I got our first pup we thought she was super mellow, she we wound up being deaf and having worms 😣, she is such a wonderful dog and we're so thankful we have her, but it would have done things differently had we known

I‘ve never seen this color in Dachshund. I thought it‘s a golden retriever puppy. In Europe this color is basically non approved as far as I know.
