not really the kid breaking the game, the game broke itself. that line clear crashed the game because it couldn't calculate the score fast enough before the next frame. obviously, doing that for 157 levels is still very impressive regardless. you should check out alex t's record on tetris too, he made it to level 235 on modded no crash cartridge, got the game crash twice, beat scuti's record by a little, and got highest ever score in the game. the tetris scene is awesome.
Ms. Pac-Man is a very different game. Even the ghost AI is different (smarter and more random). In the Original Pac-Man you can play the exact-same pattern over and over..... that doesn’t work with Ms. Pac-Man .

He was also a cheater when he first beat donkey Kong where he used an emulator to get the highest score, in April of 2018 all of his donkey Kong scores were stripped from him so I wouldn’t be surprised if he cheated at pac-man too.

1:07 even more proof he doesnt know what he is talking about: Pac man can run at 60 fps, but not on the machine he is playing on, as its one of the first versions of the game. So it is only 30 fps, which is 1/30th of a second. Still difficult, but tens of thousands of people can consistently do this on old Mario speed runs, or 1/60th of a second reactions on newer games.
Pacman may run on 30 fps but it runs on 60 ticks per second. a tick is basically the smallest unit measurement of time possible the computer runs on. It mean that the most perfect corner turn would be when you hit that one tick which would be correctly 1/60 of a second.
Before he was cheating he may have been cocky and arrogant, but it seemed like he earned it so there was an element of respect there, some one who worked hard to get that title and position. That was until his secret came out anyways and with that, all of his respectability was flushed down the toilet.

Basically how pacman works is you have a grid of spaces that determine where pacman and the ghosts are at any given moment. You die when pacman and a ghost occupy the same space of the grid at the same time. However, if you run at the ghost with perfect timing so that pacman and the ghost are in the spaces right next to each other, they will both move to the next grid space in the next tick at the same time, which means they switched spaces with each other rather than ever occupying the same space, and without having occupied the same space, the game doesn't kill pacman. It requires perfect timing though, which is why it's so impressive that he did it.

Great Big Story is basically a dead channel that hasn't posted anything in two years. Additionally, it was created by CNN, (so its mainstream astroturf), then they couldn't fund it anymore and sold it off to a company that never developed it.

Their backlog of vides have consistantly been gaining them around 10M views per month since they stopped posting, so the channel is still worth their while to some extent, and clearly still has reach. This particular video has gained a mere 500k views since october so it makes up a very tiny percentage of their total monthly views and is unlikely to gain them any significant passive income considering how short it is. Reading the comments makes it clear most recent viewers are aware of the scandal and simply here to leave a negative comment. Since the algorithm has forgotten about this video since long ago, keeping it up does nothing for the channel except show a lack of caring when it comes to journalistic intergity.
Looking at their socialblade they also deleted videos totaling 100M+ views in march of 2022, when the channel had been dorment for over 1.5 years so theres clearly still someone that moderates the channel.
Is Twin Galaxies the only company actually standing up against his intimidation and threats? Guinness World Records buckled under the pressure, and videos like this are still active.

He was also a cheater when he first beat donkey Kong where he used an emulator to get the highest score, in April of 2018 all of his donkey Kong scores were stripped from him so I wouldn’t be surprised if he cheated at pac-man too.

Pac man can run at 60 fps, but not on the machine he is playing on, as its one of the first versions of the game. So it is only 30 fps, which is 1/30th of a second. Still difficult, but tens of thousands of people can consistently do this on old Mario speed runs, or 1/60th of a second reactions on newer games.

Pacman may run on 30 fps but it runs on 60 ticks per second. a tick is basically the smallest unit measurement of time possible the computer runs on. It mean that the most perfect corner turn would be when you hit that one tick which would be correctly 1/60 of a second.

Before he was cheating he may have been cocky and arrogant, but it seemed like he earned it so there was an element of respect there, some one who worked hard to get that title and position. That was until his secret came out anyways and with that, all of his respectability was flushed down the toilet.

Basically how pacman works is you have a grid of spaces that determine where pacman and the ghosts are at any given moment. You die when pacman and a ghost occupy the same space of the grid at the same time. However, if you run at the ghost with perfect timing so that pacman and the ghost are in the spaces right next to each other, they will both move to the next grid space in the next tick at the same time, which means they switched spaces with each other rather than ever occupying the same space, and without having occupied the same space, the game doesn't kill pacman. It requires perfect timing though, which is why it's so impressive that he did it.

@@otakuholly8885 If he would sue avgn he would lose. He cant even threaten him unlike with Karl Jobst (and even that failed tremendously over and over again) on a financial level. If he cant even manage to be a threat to Jobst how could even remotely consider going against AVGN. Thats the reason why he sued Jobst in the first place over the clip of AVGN (which will, as per usual, fail). And yes, the backlash wound be insane because of how much traffic it would get.

The fact that this video is still up is just shocking. That a channel as respected as GBS would keep this video up despite obviously having to know who this guy really is by now
Great Big Story is basically a dead channel that hasn't posted anything in two years. Additionally, it was created by CNN, (so its mainstream astroturf), then they couldn't fund it anymore and sold it off to a company that never developed it.
@@georgegreen711 Sure I get all that but this just seems like a pr nightmare. Their backlog of vides have consistantly been gaining them around 10M views per month since they stopped posting, so the channel is still worth their while to some extent, and clearly still has reach. This particular video has gained a mere 500k views since october so it makes up a very tiny percentage of their total monthly views and is unlikely to gain them any significant passive income considering how short it is. Reading the comments makes it clear most recent viewers are aware of the scandal and simply here to leave a negative comment. Since the algorithm has forgotten about this video since long ago, keeping it up does nothing for the channel except show a lack of caring when it comes to journalistic intergity.
Looking at their socialblade they also deleted videos totaling 100M+ views in march of 2022, when the channel had been dorment for over 1.5 years so theres clearly still someone that moderates the channel.
