Had been using a Razer Black Widow tournament edition, but the Corsair is a bit less obnoxious(quieter) and feels a lot smoother for both gaming and typing. I honestly love Corsair products in general, excellent equipment and not priced out of the stratosphere like a lot of "gaming" products.

i'll say this. the per key RGB has made my K70 mk2 very useful for actual work and system monitoring. when im doing video editing i have it set to color all the different groups used by the software to be better able to locate them. when gaming i have the F keys set to display all of the system temperatures.
I normally don't write reviews as much but I felt this product deserves this honest review. I have bought and returned several keyboards. I bought the K95 corsair (brown switches), K55 corsair, K68 corsair red (not RGB), Razer Cynosa Chroma V2, Razer Black widow Elite green, and Redragon K556 (brown switches). Then finally I laid my hands on K70. This is the perfect balance of smooth typing and gaming experience. I use it for office work and as well as typing. It is quiet and does NOT make much noise. If you want a keyboard for office and gaming, I would highly recommend this keyboard. It comes with a wrist rest with help with typing. I am very happy with this product and Corsair has done a fine job with this particular keyboard.
not exactly a newly released keyboard, but I just picked one up and I love the feel of it, I personally absolutely love the wrist wrest and the spacebar texture, the volume wheel thing is pretty cool too, Also one of the first keyboards I'm comfortable using without the stands on it

I bought my k70 in 2019, here are my negatives: - some keys double-press, this seems to be a common issue if you look up "corsair k70 double typing". - some LEDs are now discoloured, most noticeably my ALT key is blue, when it should be white. - a couple of keys have broken in plastic cross, leading them to be unstable. - occasionally the keyboard isn't recognised in Windows, although that is likely the fault of the PC, and not the keyboard. - iCUE battles with every other lighting software. When it works, its great being able to use 1 key to change the colour of the PC lighting. Problem being it doesn't work regularly.

I bought it for christmas I got the brown switch variant and im glad I got those not red. It is a very good keybaord and it is also very sturdy. My advise would be to use the fps and moba keycaps to prevent shine on the keycaps after long term use. Enjoy your beast keybaord

I keep going back to these keyboards even in 2024! This was a fantastic review and you have done such a thorough job! I am seriously considering getting a couple of these for my computers in 2024 .. in fact I use an old Cherry MX Red keyboard with good silicon O-rings that are 2.5mm thick with a 10mm diameter and that makes the keys quieter with a superb light feel. Not all keys take well to these O-rings but if you get the right ones, that really improves the feel and speed of typing. Thanks man, great refresher for me!

@Rémi Gaux If you still want this keyboard, remember that it can come with different types of switches? Just try to buy the switch that is the quietest and you should be good! Definitely do not get the blue ones lol
Very good review. When doing close up shots of the keys I noticed some greasy fingerprints on it. This may be realistic for many gamers, but I found it very distracting during the review because usually close-up panning shots are to show sleek-clean surfaces. Just a suggestion. :)
Great review. Just a side note and me really nitpicking, maybe use a can of duster to remove dust/debris off products prior to presentation. Otherwise, great job.
Did you install the Corsair CUE software? If not, download and install it, then start it, select your keyboard and go to lighting effects, pick one from the drop down.
had this keyboard for two years or so. my biggest issue though by far was the corsair software itself! wonderful keyboard - but the software bricked my computer and had to be uninstalled. im definitely not the only one with this experience judging by many reddit posts. forced to go with defaults. still, all around solid keyboard.

I got the K95 (Similar appearal, just with macros that I don't use), and I will say yes to the durable. I have smashed my keyboard many times throughout my 1 year of using this and it still holds out great.

And another upside to the removable keys, of which about all the keys are removable (Except the mute and the media buttons), is that it makes cleaning much more easier. Just throwing in more stuff. XD

I got the K95 (Similar appearal, just with macros that I don't use), and I will say yes to the durable. I have smashed my keyboard many times throughout my 1 year of using this and it still holds out great.

And another upside to the removable keys, of which about all the keys are removable (Except the mute and the media buttons), is that it makes cleaning much more easier. Just throwing in more stuff. XD
