      Ha Ha, ya. I guess I smell like shampoo. I use Head and Shoulders and conditioner. But, I must have got a bottle of Clear body wash, then switched to the Shampoo by accident. Then I kept getting the same thing for another year. Oh well.

    lol on the soap story. I can see how easily that could happen. I’m always trying to figure out which powder soap goes for the laundry. I usually take a picture of a brand I know works and then try to match it in the store. Even that isn’t easy. 😅

    • @EagerExpat
      @EagerExpat  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ya man, I did that too. The Thai brand is usually cheaper. These days it's easy. I go shop with Boon.

    Joe... Had no idea where you were going with that soap comment. And then bam... showering with shampoo. Classic! Fun way to learn though. :o) Keep the vids coming.

    You & me both Brother! Can't deal with people nor traffic congestion. Don't mind the high temps but the humidity can be uncomfortable. Visited Hong Kong in the early 70's and used the same daily multiple shower routine. Visiting Thailand for a month in October. Thanks for sharing the adventure.

    Too funny Joe- shampoo and/or body wash both get the job done. Good points about the heat- the humidity takes a little getting used to for most Californians who have never been to Asia. You have a very positive attitude. *Just wondering if you’ve seen Japanese eye drops 💦 (so incredible) in the markets or Don Quixote Mall in Thonglor ?😊

      Ya man. Soap is soap to me. Today I have fancy Japanese body wash. That's cool. I still use the shampoo. Never heard of the Japanese drops. I use the refresh drops once in awhile. Only when the smog is bad. I seem to rub my eyes.

    Do you ever go to the Hooters there? I was thinking that when I relocate to Thailand "Jomtien" I should stay in Bangkok for a week to get acclimated to everything and I am most familiar with their food. So I'm thinking about staying somewhere around Soi 4, not a big partier but starting with something familiar and branching out a little. I'll be working EST hours so I'll need a somewhat quiet space at night hours for the most part.

    • @EagerExpat
      @EagerExpat  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you need quite stay far away from Soi 4. That's the Vegas strip of Thailand. If you want to eat at Hooters, look at a place on Soi 15. They have a second Hooters there. You can also get plenty of western food on Soi 13. Plenty of pubs. Don't worry about the food. It's all here. But Thai food isn't that complicated. You can ease into it.

    How long on average do you spend editing for a video like this? I assume some of your other videos where you're just talking with the planes landing would be a far easier edit. And also if you could how long on average do spend on editing each week? Btw fellow Californian here and soon to be moving to SE Asia. Love your content and your easy going/every man nature. Great stuff!

    • @EagerExpat
      @EagerExpat  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      How's it going. Editing is not too bad. I'm pretty good at shooting little 3 or 5 second clips. If I mess up, I just delete it on the scene. So 99% of the time I upload decent clips in order. If the video is 15 minutes long, I add a few titles if I said something wrong. I adjust the sound really fast. I try to not get pops between clips. I just do a bulk setting of .09 fade in and out. What takes time is I listen to the entire video for mistakes. If it's a 50 minute video, add another 15 minutes, adding description and tags for TH-cam. Plus, a simple edit. I also have to make a thumbnail. That might take 10 minutes. Then I save everything to a hard drive. That might take 10 minutes to move over 5 videos. I have fast internet, but it might take 5 minutes a video to upload.
      So bottom line, I can do a 15 minute video in 30 minutes. A complicated 1 hour video with screen shoots and tons of titles might take 3 hours. I usually shoot for 5 hours one day. Other days, I'll edit 3 or 4 videos all day.
      I also spend usually 30 minutes to an hour answering comments all day. I've did my best to answer every comment. I'm not sure how many thousands that has been in 2 years. As far as editing each week. Maybe 6 to 8 hours? I'm not sure. Some days, like today I've been online since 10am, I'll finish up at 10pm. Other days, I do nothing. It's just a fun hobby. I have nothing but time. Retirement is nice.
