Hi Joe, I may bring you some high quality ziplock gallon bags when I move over in August, as a thank you for all the tips and tricks you've given us. Within reason, lemme know what else you need!
I just checked the website for the G.S. Mansion apartment building you mentioned in the video. It was built in 1987. Their rental prices are shown to be $6 to $7 per square meter. and their sizes are 180 to 220 square meters.
An apartment in San Diego built in 1987 would be considered new. Most were 1960s builds. Plus, if you can be at the beach in 15 minutes, plan on paying $3000
:42 do you think the ponchos from 7-11 would fit a 6'2" 220 lbs farang? I'm really liking your tours of Bangkok. I retired to Jomtien in November and I will eventually get my lazy butt over there.
It's a little hard to relate. I worked outside in San Diego. Ha ha. It's probably the most perfect weather in the US. Someone had to do it. Next thing you know, I did 33 years. No complaints
@@jeasy1221 Nah, not really. I got a bite in the hand once. That was by a lab that never got walked. He was crazy. Most dogs in San Diego are pretty mellow. Beach dogs are cool. Plus, I did the same route for 27 years. I knew most of these dogs since day one.
Ya, I have a small one. It's too hard. It's like carrying around a carry-on suitcase. I have the sling and a small backpack. One of those with a large zip lock inside seems to work best
Skechers and or On Clouds brand for me has been great when exploring Bangkok & Thailand. Thanks for all the tips and advice, appreciate the walk arounds..definitely gonna check out the Japanese bakery when I back in a couple of months.
@@jeasy1221 Ya, a decent pair of shoes will fit like a glove. I would stay far away from those knock off copies. They don't even seem to bend. It might be ok if you walk 1km a month. I walk 50km a month. At age 58, my feet don't hurt at all.
Backpack all the way! Just have to remember it's under the table when leaving the bar, at 3am 😅
I agree. I'm a backpack guy too. This small one I found is like a sling size. It might be the solution
Nothing wrong with a backpack Joe 😊
Ha ha, it's fine. I'm on foot power
We get lots of royal solutes here in california every time you drive down the street. 🤔😂
Ya, I remember. I even remember when people were mellow in San Diego. Now driving can be crazy.

Hey thanks. But, I found some great heavy large bags at Ikea. I'm all set. I appreciate the offer, but I'm all set. Maybe we can grab a beer.
good video as always, we had Thailand temperatures today, 42C with the humidity, 107+ F
That's hot. It's not that hot here today. Starting the rainy season.

G.S Mension goes for $1400 a month. older units but most of them are 200 square meters.
You pay for that huge size near the train and mall. Still, a 50 year old 200m in San Diego near the ocean might be $5000
@@EagerExpat Here in San Francisco prices are as bad as in SD or even higher.
@@MarekS-xi1rq San Francisco prices are crazy high.

I'm not sure. I think so. I see people walking around with a backpack under the poncho. I've only wore one a few times.
I worked in the UK Royal Mail in the 70s never had a cold or flu out in all weather's as you can relate

@@EagerExpatAny crazy soi dog stories on the postal route?

Put a link up (or two) of your wishlist items, the zip locks and the shoe thingys.
Thanks, but I don't need a thing. Just swing by for a beer when you get to town
Hi Joe, have you thought about using a dry bag/sack instead of a regular backpack?

You mentioned a new Mexican restaurant. What is the name of that place I'm always hunting for new Mexican food.
Oh man, I've edited 15 videos since I made this one. You'll have to remind me what I said. There are a bunch of good Mexican places around.
Do you ever go in Suda soi 14 for a cheap beer and a meal ?
I have been there three of four times. Popular place
Nice one mate how's the soles of your trainer's holding out 555
Ya man, I wore out a pair of Nike's in the past year. I'm used to that from my mailman days. I'm a road dog.
