Something a lot of artists need to remember (myself included) is that just because someone else has illustrated something in a particular style before does not mean that you should put yourself down for doing/wanting to do a similar thing.
The important part to remember is that if its something you want to do, you should do it. After all creating art should be enjoyable and fun, not an activity with self-inflicted arbitrary constraints you feel like you "should do".
I love when you talk about beeing free in your art because I am not and you are an inspiration to push my limits a bit more. It helps a lot. Thank you. Love your approach with these pages.
The fruit page specifically has inspired me to do some kinda free sketches of stuff in my garden!
I agree on wanting to draw just on one sketchbook, it also feels like a diary to me!! Been filling one sketchbook at a time since mid 2017 and I can’t go back to just having multiple unfinished sketchbooks everywhere 😅😅 Not every page has to look pretty which is hard to accept even today :’D ❤ love love how these sketches look!!
I really liked the dog page. Dogs are kinda hard to draw, at least for me, because it looks like ponies lol. I also liked the fruit pages all the colors you used!
Ditto -- I love dogs, but I have a hard time drawing them, or any furry animal really. Because fur. :P I keep trying periodically, but it's frustrting.
I actually love the first dog page! Especially with how the dark lines and shading contrast with the rainbow background😊
I would love to see a flip through of your practice sketchbooks! I love messy sketchy stuff 😁
Maybe someday! I don't know how long the video would be since it's not the biggest sketchbook 😅
It is so nice to hear you talk about how you allow yourself to USE your art supplies. After almost a decade i finally reach that stage were i can do mixed media (my brain didn't allow me to - i am weird xD) use my supplies in other ways that they were "intended" etc.
Art is so much more fun when you don't limit yourself
the way you colored the fruits
I just love watching you draw, thanks for sharing
I always love painting fruit, it's so colourful and aesthetic 🥰
I’m always glad to see another upload from you! It’s a nice coincidence that I just bought a gift for a friend yesterday from your shop. I love your art style, especially your fun mark making during the process. You’ve really inspired me to be more consistent with art! Excited to watch the rest of the video. Have a good day!
I love that you were drawing dogs because my dog is cuddling right next to me as we both watch this video
I love your techniques 🫶🏻
Oh man yay! Another Jel Arts video to help spark my motivation!!
I really like the dog page! I so love your style and the pages that you did! Thank you for the wonderful video!
I love your videos! So inspiring.
I’m a perfectionist when it comes to art and I feel like that keeps me from even drawing in my sketchbook at all. Your videos always give me motivation and help me realize that I can loosen up and not all my drawings have to be perfect :)
Loved seeing you draw all these dogs. I also have a seperate study sketchbook, but hearing this has made me consider putting all my sketches in one place, even the “bad ones”
I love the way you draw animals! the way u style them and color them in (especially birds) is there a chance u would draw owls in your style? i would love to see how they turn out!
Do you seal the neocolors before you work on another page?
berry nice
❤❤❤❤
Za doggos! They’re so cute 🥰
❤
Ola poderia me falar sobre a performance do Kamvas 22 durante esse tempo? Desde já agradeço!
I love it! Soo vibrant and cute! ❤✨️ Makes me really want to break out my Neocolors! Hope you have a lovely weekend! ❤
P.s. i forgot to ask, do you sharpen the Neopastels?
what dog breed was the dog on the right

Yay * u *
For me it's the other way round, when I draw something nice that I'm proud of, I'm scared that people think all of my art looks that good but I won't be able to replicate this level and quality of art again so I disappoint those people and let them down with worse quality art. That's why I sometimes don't like/am scared when posting the art that I'm proud of online. ^^"
Do you use reference photos?
Yes!
