I would like you to talk about the low rpm oil pressure problem of the FA20. Most tuners ignore this problem which in time most likely lead to a fatal failure. The cheapest way to address this is upping the stationary rpm to 900. I also read that some tuners found a better solution and keep the oil pressure at a minimum of 5psi. Not by adding thicker oil because this will lead to slower circulation and therefore less cooling.

Hello The oil pump produces volume. The engine then takes over as the "pump" that is what the valve is for. It takes oil pressure to lift the bearing surfaces. Therefore when it has low oil pressure its not the oil pump but bad bearings in the engine.
Danke.
Hab schon 130° dort gesehen. War auf der Autobahn mit 5w50öl
JEEEEZE Oil pump built into the timing cover. Have to replace a timing cover for a failed piston that regulates pressure. Who's idea was this haha. I'll stick with my EJ
Stock turbo/block with just bolt ons the fa20 will make more power with a much broader torque curve then the ej257 will lol. For daily driving you’re better off with the fa20. The EJ is plagued with design flaws to this day. UEL manifold, bad turbo position, crappy pistons and rods, poor oil cooling, etc. Those issues can be solved if you build it, but you have to be able to afford to build it.....
Merl Klarhoelter the boosted ej25’s have ALWAYS been plagued with piston ring issues lol, due to poor cooling and the pistons being of a weaker cast material. The rotating the turbo is a popular option because it gets the hot side of the turbo from radiating heat right onto the cylinder. The unequal manifold causes heat buildup and pressure buildup on the bank with the longer runners, causing excessive wear on those cylinders, especially if you advance ignition timing too much with a tune... they’ll spin rod bearings out due to oil starvation, again caused by design.... is that technical enough for you? Especially since you haven’t used any technical data to prove EJ’s aren’t poorly designed....
Awesome vid, that's cool the key difference design that makes them unique and distinctive, your English is good Brother keep it up with these vids and thank you very humble of you don't apologize, I should apologize for not knowing German.👌🏽👍🏽

I have been looking at the new Subaru offerings and I am pleased that the engines now use a timing chain. I am also happy to see that the oil filters are now on top of the engine rather than in the middle of the exhaust headers. I am wondering if anyone has been able to install a bypass oil filter system on these engines. The oil addition hole is very close to the main oil filter area and it would be very easy to filter a small amount of oil through an oil bypass filter and then dump the clean oil back in the sump through the oil addition hole. Has anyone found an aftermarket system that does this? I have looked at Amsoil and I am not sure I could mount this inside the engine compartment.
