    Hi Raging Beard I bought a SW30 which does not use a simcube board instead uses a texas instruments c2000 launchpad xl do you know any good forums that share OSW settings etc ? thanks keep up the good work

      Hi thanks but sorry no, I just picked up a few things over time from various videos or posts, but mostly just tweaked a little to find what I like. I don't know anything about the Texas Instruments one. Did you have a call with the guys at Simplicity?

    Great video I'm thinking of getting a MiGE 30Nm Direct from Simplicity I have read that smaller miGE are a bit twichy so I go with the Big motor ticking over thought ? The guy in poland
    has stopped making the boxes for time being pitty :-(

      Oh Sim Line has? I didn't know that. Hopefully he starts back up again but he needs to use higher quality buttons TBH. One of mine went back, he swapped buttons and sent back, but again really one of my buttons isn't so good. I am looking forward to wireless Simucube!

      @@AdamsSIMporium what do think about my thoughts on a bigger MiGE thanks

    • @AdamsSIMporium
      @AdamsSIMporium  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well first off, you absolutely do not need large Mige for the power. I currently run mine at 30% as do many I have seen.
      But as you say, from all reviews I have watched and read, I am glad I went with the large as apparently it less twitchy. Having not tried a smaller one, I can't speak from experience, and I am sure either are awesome really.
      If they are about the same cost, I too would pick the large.

      Thanks, my pleasure. You will not be dissapointed! I am now trying to decide on getting a USB converted Fanatec McLaren GT3 rim or not...

    • @MartinJSmith-ef3zr
      @MartinJSmith-ef3zr 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like a good choice too me, I have the formula and BMW rims. Buying the mclaren also. Been a long time fanatec user. If u like the fanatec pedal range and u wanna upgrade, the HE Pros are big step up if your seriously into your hobby. Obviously seem like it. Check out demon tweeks Web and search heusinkveld. Cheaper buying em from them than actually shipping from HEdirect. £610 roughly for 3 pedal set... The accuracy/sensitivity really is huge difference just like dd over belt drive. Good luck with your racing mate!

    Hello, are Sim-Plicity Kits worth it or should I build a Mige OSW myslef? I'm around the 600 euro budget (SW10 price). Is the SW10 worth it in your opinion and do you get updates for the wheel or is it not supported? Thank you in advance!

    • @AdamsSIMporium
      @AdamsSIMporium  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, well I love mine and it's as awesome as ever. It runs off Simucube so you can update whenever there is a Simucube update and it's very easy to do. I haven't used any over DD wheel so I can't say what their SW10 is like. I can say that 10nm is easily enough power, but it's not all about power of course. From my limited experience with this one wheel though, I'd say they are a decent company putting out good products. Sorry I can't help more, hopefully there are reviews out there for the SW10.

      @@AdamsSIMporium that's great news. Thanks for the feedback. The issue with these new simplicity is that they use their own controller and software which is different from simucube that's why I'm worried. :/

    • @AdamsSIMporium
      @AdamsSIMporium  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@yanniskrp5782 Oh I see, I didn't know that! I think I'd personally try to go for a Simucube 1 or 2 wheel, then you at least know you are getting tried and tested software.

      @@AdamsSIMporium That's what everyone has recommended me to do. I'm trying to find a great deal on a used Simucube 1 since new ones are way beyond my budget. Thank you a lot for your help though! Have fun racing.

      Nice rig. Would be interesting to scientifically test the rigidity difference of the GT1 and the P1, I suspect little to none lol. I am sure the 40x160 pieces are overkill!

    Enjoying your vids. Love the cat :) They always have to get in the way. BTW What made you mount the gear lever on the right and not UK left?

    • @AdamsSIMporium
      @AdamsSIMporium  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks and yeah they always seems to work out how to be the most annoying at any time lol. I mounted on the right because the majority of cars in sims are left hand drive and I like to try and keep it as real as I can.

  • @Excelbrains
    @Excelbrains 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Informative vid, helped me out mounting my Simucube! Question: did you mount the e-stop button to the 80 20 and if so how?

    • @AdamsSIMporium
      @AdamsSIMporium  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, yeah I did. I took the front off and drilled a couple of 6mm holes. Attached to on the outside face of the left steering wheel mount upright using the usual bolts and t-slot nuts, then put the front back on. Definitely worth doing, it has come in handy!

    Nice one. I got OSW small mige biss-c few weeks ago and I love it. What a difference. USB hub is not recommended mate.

    • @AdamsSIMporium
      @AdamsSIMporium  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah and small mige is more than enough, no idea now why I went for the large in hindsight lol. I need to use a hub, no choice really, rig is opposite side of room to PC and works good for me.

    • @menacegtr
      @menacegtr 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why would you say a usb hub is not recommended? most serious sim racers have quite a lot of usb devices to connect, I have 6 devices I connect to my pc, even Barry Roland of sim racing garage uses one. Am interested in your assumption.

    • @MKRallySimulator
      @MKRallySimulator 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    great unboxing, what made you decide on the OSW as a direct drive wheel ?

    • @AdamsSIMporium
      @AdamsSIMporium  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, well really after seeing various reviews and videos of ppl using them I just decided to go straight up to one. I was going to get the Fanatec CSW 2.5 but that ends up being a lot of money and figured I'd end up wanting to upgrade again anyway. I did consider the Accuforce but again it's already a lot of money. The wheel I got was from Simplicity in UK so avoided any import charges or high shipping charges.

    • @SimRacingLife
      @SimRacingLife 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      what wheel did you have before ?
      I've already invested far too much money in the Fanatec CSW range, so holding out a little for their own DD wheel base which is on the horizon as all my wheel rims, shifter, handbrake will be compatible , failing that though i think i too would be drawn more to the OSW.
      anyhow i suspect you're loving it, who wouldn't (",)

    • @AdamsSIMporium
      @AdamsSIMporium  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had the Logitech G29 before, which is a great wheel for the price, but unfair really to compare it to an OSW with that in mind. That said, it's a million times better lol.
      For yourself though, makes sense for you to wait now that you're so invested in the Fanatec ecosystem. However, I suppose the only real difference is you would need to buy the shifter USB adapter. You have a good wheel already so no harm in holding out though and see their offering, plus it would all run nicely out of one program (app for the youth).

  • @LordandGodofYouTube
    @LordandGodofYouTube 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Have you tried any other direct drive wheels to compare it to? I really want to pull the trigger on one of these but there's not a lot of info on how they compare out there.

    • @AdamsSIMporium
      @AdamsSIMporium  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, this is the only DD wheel I have ever tried. It is awesome, though if I was buying now I'd probably go for the Simucube 2 Pro (newer and sleeker).
