I love the Arizona wood so much different colors but I do got to say the one with yellow are my favorite

The color on this material is just amazing! I've heard this is a really great place too and that the owners are great people. The color looks similar to some of the southwest Missouri chert called Mozarkite. I'm going to make a trip for that this spring... It's only the state rock here LOL. I should probably talk about it. I wonder if the DoBell wood was formed by a similar process. The colors are similar! Obviously a totally different type formation but I dunno the material just seems similar to me.
Thank you! This is all agatized petrified wood. It is very similar in color. Just by seeing pictures of Mozarkite I would have thought it was agate.🤣 DoBell is very close to The Petrified Forest National Park. I don’t know the Mozarkite is formed, I’ll have to look into it.

its so obvious that they collect that stuff from somewhere else, then seed the ground and bury it. then tell tourists its a virgin never searched prospect.
Never thought of that… would explain why we were just finding chips and not whole trees. I do understand there are a few spots they can put you on, I think we were on the low totem pole spot🤣 we still found good chunks though.
