    That was a fun trip. It's really cool to see how that black specular hematite still sparkles even after you slab it. Good job as always Julie.

    I have one piece of chrysocolla I found in the goldfield mountains. Never seen that much before

      I didn’t even take those pieces either, I wanted to find my own in bigger rocks. The only one I did take was that first one that Brian turned over.🤣

    So nice and green. Talk about a tease, all that Chrysocolla, and you can't reach it.
    Thx, great job 👏

      🤣 I know, Brian had to really talk some sense into me, because I was really going to try…🤣 you could hear the disappointment in my voice as I was talking about the consequences of falling into the open mine.😁

    Ugh! Same in Missouri. Iron and quartz EVERYWHERE and amethyst is very rare... goals... LOL

    1:50 Hey is that quartz?! If it is it's really similar to what I find in Missouri! So cool!!!

    • @AZRockhoundExpeditions
      @AZRockhoundExpeditions  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! There was so much Quartz out there! There is chevron amethyst out there, we just weren’t in far enough.

    I would say the crystal pocket was the find of the day, love the terminated goodness. Was that galena running through some of those?

    • @AZRockhoundExpeditions
      @AZRockhoundExpeditions  ปีที่แล้ว

      After we washed off and used iron out, the rocks were very shiny in larger veins I think it was copper and lead ore, possibly silver. I don’t know how to go about testing it.

    • @sfbfriend

      @@AZRockhoundExpeditions Lead ore is Galena and it usually has Silver and many other minerals. One way would be to test specific gravity. At any rate it's beautiful material. Thanks guys

    Please forgive my ignorance with the phosphates but will that have to be stabilized before working?

    • @AZRockhoundExpeditions
      @AZRockhoundExpeditions  ปีที่แล้ว

      Some of it will need to be stabilized. We have some material that is hard enough to be worked.
